pαпdα Йᴏνê|,сòМ Arthur waited out the night in the store. He was on the second floor, in a room where only he and Amanda could enter.

The latter was sitting on the sofa, looking up at the sky which over time began to become somewhat dark while the former was lying on her thighs.

Just now they were talking about gold. Amanda asked where the gold was from and Arthur calmly told her.

"Oh, look, your aunt has come," Amanda said suddenly.

Looking down the street, Arthur indeed found the woman's car.

She had apparently come early, apparently wanting to see her nephew's first business.

Jade got out of the car and opened the door for her.

After getting out of the car, she immediately entered the store while Jade remained standing outside, looking at the store curiously.

At the same time, Arthur sat up and said to Amanda, "Tell your subordinates to bring her here!"

For his aunt, there was no way he wouldn't treat her specially.

Amanda nodded and then sent a message through her cell phone. For a moment, her lips curled up like she was thinking of something fun.

Looking at her eyes, Arthur thought this woman wanted to do something to his aunt.

Maybe she was holding a grudge because of what Isabel had done to her at Anna's restaurant that time.

Arthur just laughed silently, choosing not to interfere. He thought Amanda needed to get another lesson from Isabel to let her know that she couldn't play around with her.

Just moments later, the sound of footsteps echoed from outside the door.

Click!

The door was pushed open, revealing the professionally dressed figure of Isabel carrying a bag.

When she saw Arthur and Amanda sitting together on the sofa, her lips moved strangely.

However, before she could do anything, her eyes suddenly moved towards Amanda's eyes and it was not something she wanted to do. It happened spontaneously, as if something was influencing her mind to stare there.

"Mm!"

As soon as her eyes met Amanda's, she blinked.

"Go to sleep!" Amanda said and it managed to make Isabel's body sway.

"You?" However, her lips were still able to open, she even managed to speak.

"Little girl, you seem to be getting bolder." Instead of falling asleep or being dazed, her eyes went cold as a lightning bolt flashed in each of her eyes.

BANG!

Two bolts of lightning then shot towards Amanda, quickly arriving in front of her face.

Amanda was unable to react, she became panicked instantly at the sight of the two bolts of lightning.

If they hit her face, there would definitely be skin damage, something that all women would dread.

"Phew!"

Arthur sighed.

Although he didn't want to interfere, at this point there was no way he could not move or Amanda would really be doomed.

With a quick movement, one of his hands struck the two lightning bolts.

He was stronger and he also had the power of lightning so the two lightning bolts bounced to the side before hitting the wall.

BANG! BANG!

The wall was cracked into a hole, a sight that made Amanda cringe.

Isabel was not angry that Arthur was helping Amanda, but she scolded the woman. "Little girl, you better not try that again or next time I'll really do everything to give you a traumatized student."

Amanda's lips parted and closed at that.

Then, she said, "w-why can't my magic affect you, our spells should be on the same level?"

"Hmph, I'm already one stage higher than you," Isabel replied, instantly leaving Amanda speechless.

She could only stay silent with a helpless expression and get a mocking smile from Isabel.

Then, the latter looked at Arthur.

"You must have given a lot of love to this little girl for her to dare me," she said before sitting on the sofa across from them.

Arthur smiled wryly, choosing not to respond.

"By the way, why did you call me here? It wasn't to give this girl a chance to attack me, was it?" asked Isabel.

"Ehhmmm..." Arthur cleared his throat. "Of course, it wasn't! How could I have such evil intentions towards you."

"Then?"

"Actually I wanted to ask, but it was also because I didn't want to see you waiting downstairs." Arthur explained.

"I see!" Isabel smiled when she heard that. Then, she asked again. "And what did you want to ask?"

"You once said that you knew magic from someone, who was that person?" Arthur answered.

For a moment, Isabel's brow furrowed when she heard that.

"Why are you asking me that?" She asked back.

"Just out of curiosity, I thought it would make it easier for me to track down the magi in this world." Arthur explained his reasoning, which of course was not entirely correct.

He just wanted to confirm whether that person was the man Anna said was Carla's biological father.

Of course, if it wasn't, he could still track the magi through that person if that person still existed.

Amanda who was sitting next to Arthur didn't quite understand what they were talking about.

However, she felt like Isabel was having trouble answering the question.

In fact, now the woman was silent.

And then she picked up the cup of wine on the table. It was Amanda's and she hadn't drunk it yet.

Isabel took a few sips of the wine before shaking her head.

"I don't think it's worth talking about that person because she's gone, just a friend from the past," she said.

Arthur looked into her eyes when he heard her answer.

What she said was enough to confirm that.

"Have you ever been friends with someone who knows magic?" On the other hand, Amanda looked at Isabel in surprise.

The latter glanced at her without answering.

After a while, she furrowed her brows again.

She suddenly felt strange, as if there was some kind of trap in Arthur's question.

The problem was that she was a politician who was used to playing with words. Although sometimes there was nothing suspicious, her habit of always being suspicious made her think of various other possible meanings of words.

"Arthur," she said in a low voice with eyes that seemed sharper, like she wanted to look into Arthur's eyes.

"Before coming to this store, where did you go?" She then asked.
