Hearing his words, Nova's eyes widened for a moment.
"Nonsense," she said. Her strength increased, like she wanted to stand up.
However, even after she directed all the strength, her body still couldn't escape Arthur's pressure.
"You?" She seemed in disbelief.
"Arthur, you can't do this," she said.
"Mmm..." Arthur's eyes as he stared at her became strange. "You know my name, I don't remember interacting with you. Of course, that's something that is possible, but it seems you're not just a geek who really doesn't care about anything other than studying.
"Well, I just wanted to ask, as long as you tell me, I'll let you go."
"What's that?" Nova asked with narrowed eyes.
"I want to know everything about the world that you know, first is there any other group in this world that has spiritual power apart from your family?"
"I don't know," she replied.
"Do not lie!" Arthur pressed her body even tighter so she seemed to be in a bit of pain.
With his experience as a great magus, he can detect lies better than the most advanced lie detector machines.
Actually, there was a spell that could force others to speak their secrets, but it wasn't low-grade magic, he was still far from being able to use such magic. Hence, he could only rely on this kind of brute means.
"Don't think it's easy to force me to talk," Nova said, grinding her teeth.
It just goes to show that she's nothing more than a young girl, who might be a little hot-blooded. Kind of like this, there are too many reliable ways to force her to speak.
"You must understand that I will force you in any way," said Arthur.
After saying that, he grabbed the back of her shirt.
"What do you want?" Nova naturally panicked. A nerd is more introverted than most people. And any woman would be bothered to have their clothes touched.
"How about I strip you naked and hang you in the building up front?" Arthur asked, starting to tug at her shirt, something that made the woman's eyes tremble violently.
"D-don't do that," she said hastily.
Arthur stopped his movements, looked into her face again. "If you don't tell me, I'll do it and ask you again after this," he said.
"You're a student, how could you be so cruel?" The girl finally showed fear.
Arthur knew she wasn't faking it, she was truly terrified, something that was to say the least suited to her strength.
However, it would be understandable if she grew up like an average modern human, plus that she had the personality of a geek.
Maybe when she was in a superior position, she gained confidence, but when the situation really reached a point where she couldn't do anything about it, she became a nerd again, complete with its mentality. Carla and Bella could probably bully her into tears.
"Answer my question," Arthur said.
"On this continent, apart from us, there is also the Vampire Clan, most of them live in small towns, and they rarely appear, they hibernate more often," Nova replied in a hurried tone.
"There aren't any other factions anymore, but there are some magi like you. They usually get the training method by accident."
"What about other continents?"
"I don't know much, maybe it's the same as here, but we and Vampire only live in this continent."
"Then do you know about the history and secrets of this world, like what happened in the past?"
"How could I know, there are too many fairy tales about it. However, my father once said that there are other dimensions around the earth. Occasionally, people from those dimensions come to earth, but it's very rare, only once in a few centuries. Whenever they appear, our clan will fight against them. That's also why our members are so few, many have been killed."
"How many of your members are left now?" Arthur asked again, showing even more interest.
Of course, what made him feel strange was the fact that they became protectors of mortals on earth. He thought there was some kind of conspiracy making that happen because a being with spiritual power that specifically lived to protect humans was something as rare as a beggar who managed to become a king.
"50s maybe, spread across the continent, we have a meeting once every four years," Nova replied.
"That's right, some of the magi seem to be disciples of people from those dimensions," she added.
"I see!" Arthur finally stood up.
Because her body was freed, Nova quickly stood up as well.
She tidied her clothes in a hurry, even taking five steps back to keep her distance from Arthur while her wolves rushed towards her while eyeing Arthur warily. There were several burns on their bodies.
Meanwhile, Arthur approaches Rose.
He knelt beside her while his hand emitted a green glow.
"Open it," he said.
Rose slowly lowered her hand down until the wound above her breast was revealed.
Arthur immediately put his palm to close the wound.
It was quite fatal and it would be dangerous if she wasn't admitted to the hospital as soon as possible. Luckily he has healing magic as well.
Gradually, Rose seemed to calm down.
"How did you master so much magic?" Asked Nova. She drew closer with even more confusion on her face.
Of course, Arthur didn't answer, he focused on taking care of Rose.
Maybe it was about 20 minutes later until his own body was covered in sweat, only then did he stop.
There was already no blood coming out of Rose's wound, it had also closed, leaving only a scar.
Even so, Rose still looked unwell, as if she was malnourished.
"You're fine now, but you need a lot of nutrition," said Arthur.
Rose looked down at her chest, took a deep breath before letting it out.
After that, she stood up.
"Thanks boss, I'll eat at a restaurant nearby!" She said to Arthur.
After all, she was a mercenary, the slight suffering from the effects of the wound didn't affect her much.
She then took a step, but while looking at Nova. For a moment, her eyes turned cold.
Unfortunately, while Nova was afraid of Arthur, Rose didn't make her feel the same way, she stared back at her as if she didn't care that she held a grudge against her.
