As the magic alarm bell echoed, laughter rang out from atop the gray tower. "Hahahahaha! The rat is here!" In a spacious room, six individuals were seated, the center of attention being a man with a robust physique and short blonde hair, his face marked by scars, presenting a menacing appearance. He was Mark, the warden of the fortress prison. To his left sat Rosalina, the interrogator, identifiable by her curly blonde hair and white coat. The others, comprising both men and women of later years, were also high-ranking officials of the prison.
"Hmph, the scourge of the Empire? More like an idiot," Rosalina scoffed, dismissing the intelligence of their would-be intruder who had knowingly walked into their trap.
"Hahaha, ten years later, another fool challenges our grand prison. Let's enjoy the show she puts on for us," Mark said with a clap, smiling broadly.
A Magician among them stood and activated eighteen white crystals, which in turn projected images of the prison's key areas, displaying the situation on each floor.
Their attention was drawn to the first projection, revealing the stunning figure of the intruder and the jailers sprawled on the ground. "What a bunch of useless fools!" Mark frowned, his facial scars writhing disturbingly.
"I'll need to ‘educate' them later," Rosalina remarked, her tongue flicking across her lips menacingly, sending shivers down the spines of those present and eliciting sympathy for the unfortunate jailers likely to suffer at her hands.
"Black-hearted Princess has delved into the first floor; escape is now impossible. Let the cat-and-mouse game begin," a stout man with a white beard, clad in plate armor, sneered.
"How far do you think she'll get?" the Magician inquired.
"Five floors," Mark speculated, arms crossed, his demeanor now serene."I'd say four. Care to wager?" Rosalina chimed in, propping her chin on her hand. The suggestion ignited excitement among the group, who saw Yaeger's break-in as mere amusement rather than a threat, even placing bets on her progress.
Meanwhile, Yaeger, aware her presence was detected, decided to stir up more chaos. Concerned mainly that Layna might be moved, she quickly made her way to the second floor. Confronted by a group of jailers, she commanded, "Move aside," her tone grave. Despite their slightly superior strength compared to those on the first floor, they were no match for her.
"Go!" At someone's command, the jailers charged, duty-bound despite knowing her strength. "I'm afraid you don't understand the meaning of death," Yaeger stated coolly, her aura manifesting as a fox coat, her hand raised to unleash nine tails that sent approaching jailers flying amidst screams of pain. She then dashed towards the third floor.
Back in the tower, the group was taken aback by Yaeger's forceful advance, surprised by her formidable power. Anger followed with shock as they saw her merciless approach, which not only physically overpowered her opponents but also struck a blow to their pride, especially Mark's.
"I'll handle it," Rosalina declared abruptly.
"You?" Mark's surprise turned to understanding as he realized her interest.
"Hehehe, yes, I've taken quite a fancy to her. I can't wait to strip her down and have my way with her," Rosalina fantasized out loud, eliciting uncomfortable twitches from everyone at her explicit desire.
Despite their years of working together, her colleagues could never grow accustomed to Rosalina's perverse inclinations. In fact, it would be quite alarming if they ever did.
Unperturbed by the shift in their expressions, Rosalina exited the room, her face flushed with anticipation. Her excitement surged at the sight of her prey, with the Black-hearted Princess stirring a more intense sadistic desire within her than Layna ever could.
"Hehehe, I love it, I absolutely love bringing such a lofty figure down to her knees and trampling over her. The thrill is incomparable!" Rosalina mused as she led her subordinates to the third floor.
Meanwhile, Yaeger continued her rapid advance, having already subdued all the jailers on the fourth floor. To her, the jailers on this level, though stronger, still posed no significant challenge.
Back in the gray tower, the officials' frustration grew; their earlier wagers seemed like mere jests in light of Yaeger's relentless progress. She swiftly overcame the fifth and sixth floors, her victories metaphorically slapping the faces of those watching from the tower.
The sound of Mark slamming his fist onto the table echoed like thunder, his fury unleashing a tempest within the room, leaving his colleagues disheartened. Yet, despite his rage, Yaeger maintained her pace, effortlessly defeating the jailers on the seventh, eighth, and ninth floors.
"This is tough. I actually spent over a minute on the ninth floor," she remarked casually, a statement that would undoubtedly infuriate Mark if he heard it. Though the first ten floors of the grand prison were not manned by elite jailers, they were still carefully selected and competent. Now, being effortlessly dispatched by a single Platinum-ranked intruder, they were sure to become the butt of jokes.
Rosalina, visibly frustrated, hastened her movements. Despite her swift pace, she discovered her target had already advanced beyond her reach. By the time Rosalina arrived at the eighth floor, the Black-hearted Princess was already dominating the jailers on the tenth floor, showcasing a level of prowess that was nothing short of impressive. The jailers on this level posed a real challenge, compelling Yaeger to exert a significant portion of her power, resulting in an intense yet unequivocally one-sided battle.
"It's done," Yaeger declared, concluding the skirmish in under two minutes, her demeanor calm and untroubled by exertion. ‘I've reached the second stage of [Green Emperor's Longevity Manual]. It seems my Mana recovery has accelerated,' she thought, her fists clenched as a subtle smile played on her lips. This improvement wasn't just her imagination; her Mana was indeed replenishing more rapidly.
"Layna, I'm coming for you," Yaeger resolved, her gaze fixed on the seventeenth cell with heightened vigilance, preparing herself for what lay ahead.
