[What should we do now Lieutenant Gergins?] asked another soldier from their apparent leader.
[No confirmation regarding the success of annihilation from any units yet and now this? Considering the current situation, I agree with Colonel's warning about not underestimating the enemy forces] said the apparent leader hearing which the soldiers nodded their head in acceptance.
[Recover Maxim before anyone sees him] ordered the apparent leader.
[Yes sir lieutenant Gergins] saluted the soldiers as they began to grab Maxim.
"Pogomii(Help me)!" cried Kyoko in Russian. She recognized the language but had no idea what they were talking about, despite having studied it as a second language. The only things she knew how to say in Russian were 'Help Me' and 'Thank You'.
Unfortunately for the soldiers and fortunately for Kyoko, though she didn't know that, the branch that she had been holding onto snapped, sending her crashing into the river below.
[Oh, come on really] cursed a soldier.
[It's a river below.... can we just declare her dead?] asked another soldier.
[No choice, two of you carry Maxim back to the base. The rest with me. We will go and confirm that women's death. We have been ordered to not let any escape alive. But first to where colonel's disciple is. He has nicely lured the other target to the location. I have studied the fight long enough, and now it's time to finish it.] ordered Gergins.
______________________________Kenichi and Boris faced each other, the rushing river water going through their legs. Kenichi was uninjured without any scratch while Boris's face was swollen a bit, along with several rips on his uniform. Bruises could be seen along the arm from blocking. And this is when Kenichi was using the bracelet to keep the gravity around him at 5x making every move of his 5 times heavier. Though Boris didn't know that and thought this was Kenichi's full strength.
'So... this is how far the distance between us is' thought Boris as he released the cold water running through his legs, soothing the bruises on his legs.
"Well well," said a smug voice causing Boris and Kenichi to turn to the source of it.
"It looks like Colonel Alexander Gaider's Disciple isn't that much if he is having trouble with one person," mocked Gergins as he and his soldiers appeared, "Stand back boy and let real soldier show you how it's done."
Boris growled but obediently retreated, causing Kenichi to raise his eyebrows in surprise.
"And here I thought you were the team leader but it looks like your master doesn't trust you enough to lead a team" taunted Kenichi hoping to get a rile from Boris but riled up the soldiers instead.
"Hmph as if I, Russia's Crimson Knife, Lieutenant Gergins would listen to a brat like him" huffed Gergins as he drew out his knives, "The colonel ordered Boris to delay you so I could finish you instead. He may be platoon leader but when it comes to you I have explicit orders that everyone will follow my lead to kill you even Boris"
"Oh, so that's what it was," Kenichi said nodded his head sagely.
Boris's hands curled up in anger at this but chose not to say anything. It had been obvious that he was no match for Kenichi's strength and even his wits, back at the incident with the Russian Congresswomen. But to be ordered to stand down and then to witness the wide berth between them frustrated him immensely.
"Now then boy. Any last words?" sneered Gergins as he twirled the knives in his hands.
Seeing Gergins here, Kenichi remembered that he had forgotten about his teacher Kyoko who must have fallen from the cliff and would be coming here while floating any minute now.
'What to do? I am sure I can take out these guys before teacher Kyoko comes if I release my limiter but than she was the reason that Boris went against his master's order just to save her life and if Kenichi takes these soldiers out there won't be any reason for him to have a change of heart as Boris mostly cares about teacher Kyoko. Fuck this is hard?' Kenichi thought.
"Stop daydreaming boy!" came the voice of Gergins as he stabbed the knife towards Kenichi who dodged it by taking a single back step.
'Let's go with this place, for now, I will give Boris a chance to change but if he doesn't then he will join the cell with his soldier friends' Kenichi thought while ducking and sidestepping the knife attacks of Gergins.
"Stop jumping around you-!?" Georgian wanted to curse but before he could finish his sentence a kick came towards him.
RENEWAL FONT KICK
The kick landed on Gergins chest stopping his breathing for few seconds while his body was thrown backward from the middle of the river to the shore.
[Cough cough cough Son of bitch] cursed Gergins in his native language, almost spitting out blood.
"Kill this asshole" ordered Gergins to his soldiers, who flinched at first before slowly following his orders. It was at this time that when Kyoko's body drifted down the river, seemingly.... dead.
Though Kenichi knew she would be alright Kenichi couldn't help but lament the fact that even after making so many preparations Kenichi wants able to stop Kyoko from falling this proves the fact that either this was supposed to happen or that this teacher of his is so dumb that no matter the safety net she will fall through it, but still he had a script to follow.
"See this Boris, the teacher who hasn't stopped worrying about you since the start of the trip. Is this the result you wanted? Is this the result of the orders you obeyed?" asked Kenichi in a low tone though he released the gravity around him to be normal so that he could save her if Boris decides to follow orders in the end.
"Shut up!" roared Boris as he gritted his teeth in anger.
"She looks dead to me" muttered a soldier as he planned to ignore her when...
"Urk.... where am I?"
