pαпdα Йᴏνê|,сòМ "DEVILL!!"

Gant produced a warcry before his body morphed. His arms shriveled like dried leaves but reappeared from his behind. It was absurdly surreal and grotesque but it became much worse the next moment when it multiplied.

Sensing danger, Teren jumped back. These multiple limbs. that could no longer be called mere arms. all 'stabbed' the location where Teren was earlier in unison.

"Hm, I plan to test the waters first but that's a mistake for someone like you."

Another pair of arms sprouted, replacing his shriveled arms earlier. However, these new arms have the color of metallic black.

Seeing this, the two burly men who were about to be defeated by multiple enemies transformed too. But in contrast to Gant's abnormal transformation, these two burly men became larger yet thinner at the same time. They became faster and more durable!

The tables were slightly turned as the hooded Drago people began to tire themselves out while the Titanes men seemed to be just starting.

"Enough, let me handle this."

When that order resounded, every Drago people put their hoods up and disappeared. Feeling that all presences surrounding them disappeared, the two Titanes men, now thinner and taller, felt one approaching them.

"This voice...!"

Gant was familiar with the owner of the voice, however, he had already learned his lesson not to get his focus stolen away. His eyes were glued to Teren, who was motionless.

However, he didn't trust that the most dangerous person is not actually doing anything.

Back at the gate of the warehouse, Hanon sweated and the strain in his eyes increased. However, he had to continuously use it on an unknown person to give advice somehow. A vision appeared in his mind.

With no hesitation, he jumped sideways and tackled Old Derman, who had his two arms outstretched, away. Almost immediately, spikes of flesh came out of the ground on the old man's original position.

"Bravo... but-"

Gant muttered and those fleshly spikes turned to stab both the old man and Hanon. But before these limbs reached them, Uncle Jo came forward with his arms raised and deflected the spike away.

"Tsk! I don't have much power from that distance." Gant muttered before retracting his limb that pierced through the ground and reached the warehouse without anyone noticing.

However, he noticed something wrong. He felt... a little complacent. Shouldn't he be focusing on one opponent, the most dangerous one?

But just as he thought so, a flying hooded man just removed his hood. He was wearing sunglasses and made a blowing gesture.

"Eron!"

Gant shouted but had no choice way of saving his two lackeys as they were toasts to death while they were bathed by fiery blue flames, blowing stronger than what modern fire throwers can.

"Gant, you shouldn't be worrying about me. Worry about yourself."

Eron pointed in a direction with his head. Gant looked and realized why his focus was placed on those who were at a warehouse.

Was it because the Devil used a Great Spirit? No.

Titanes people greatly depend on their physical power, skill, reflexes, and especially instincts. One could say they are full-blown muscleheads. However, it's their instincts that made them like warfighting machines.

Even without thinking, their body knows how to fight in that most efficient way.

As long as he followed his war-polished instincts, it will tell him to focus on the most dangerous being. So is the old man actually the most dangerous?

No again.

The reason for that is because the most dangerous person disappeared, changing Gant's priority without him knowing.

So when Eron pointed with his head, Gant realized it.

"You...! You seemed awfully lax..."

Teren was returning to the battlefield.

"Did you just turn around, went back to get your kitchen knife, and returned with it?"

Carrying with him his knife, Teren stood on the place he was standing just earlier.

"I thought I want to cut Eron's pinky finger if he does not show up. But now that he showed up, I thought that my effort is wasted."

"E-eh?"

Hearing that the knife was actually for Eron, both he and Gant were stunned.

"When I fought with that man- what's his name again?- Kled?... him and any other people, I didn't want to use any of my Spirit because I didn't want those people and everyone else to find some things out. But now, I am free to use it since you're already bothering me and I think Nick will shut his mouth about this... Do you understand?"

Gant squinted his eyes in understanding. People from Titanes Army are seen as muscleheads, it is true, however only when in combat. But when they actually use their brains, they are not dumb in any way. Gant perfectly understood what Teren meant.

"I see... then I guess I heard what I wanted to hear."

"Oh, I thought you're here to kill the Devil Himself because it would be bad if we recruited him and fully integrated him into our force."

Eron said and continued in a lower voice, "So you're not that dumb..."

"Does that mean you will retreat?" Teren spoke as if disappointed.

"Hehe, add tactical to that."

Creepily enough, the several uncanny limbs behind Gant moved as if they were limbs of a spider as he tried to escape.

"As if I will let you."

At the same time he heard those words, Gant, who was escaping at high speed saw Teren's face again .This time, Gant's expression went grim.

But it was not out of his expectations. His extra limbs were already on its way protect himself. Yet, blood already gushed out of his stomach as Teren's knife had already pierced him.

"D-damn you!"

Sensing danger, Gant immediately used his second Spirit. The fatal wound on his chest created by Teren and his knife immediately closed as if he was not human.

"You..! Stop this, you won't be able to kill me unless you use a Great Spirit and I don't think you will reveal one of your trump cards in front of so many spies! We are yet to war against each other!"

Gant shouted as his limbs came thrusting themselves forward towards Teren as he continuously retreats. However, Teren unrelentingly chased him while using his trusty knife to cut through the rain of spikes.

But as soon as Teren sliced them into two, they would regenerate as if time reverted itself.

"Heh, I know, I'm just scaring you."

Teren stopped his chase, making Gant sigh in relief as he coursed though the trees with ease as if he have eyes on the back of his head.
