There was no point in rushing towards others and stealing their value points right now.
Rather than that, it could be seen as a disadvantage because solving the system mission while surviving the fourth dungeon floor was important.
Right now, they wouldn't be able to escape the barriers of the fourth floor without leaving the dungeon for good.
This would be the case for the next 30 days. As such, it wouldn't be the best to solve the system mission directly, but it would make sense to wait a little bit.
In the end, the best scenario would be that the system mission would be successfully solved while simultaneously completing the fourth dungeon floor's task.
Even if it was unlikely, offending 100 opponents at the same time while drawing them to a closer range in the first few days of the dungeon task was not the best idea.
He didn't want to be pursued for the following weeks after all!
Shane was fine with offending and instilling hate in others for him, but thinking rationally was equally important right now.
Other than cultivating, Shane also found it important to figure out who the strongest opponent was and what kind of groups the dungeon challengers had formed.
Despite that, there was no need to stress himself and Princess Ilya.
They could simply wait for a week before starting to investigate their opponents.
By that time, there would already be quite a few that had been beaten up and deprived of their value points.
Maybe, there would even be a few who would encounter both Shane and Ilya which was not unlikely to happen.
Their own value points were in the four digits meaning that they would be worth quite a lot. But, Shane was not sure whether others had been able to reach the same or not.
Even if there would be a few who had managed to achieve the same number of value points as them, it would only be a handful of dungeon challengers that wouldn't make a difference to Shane and Ilya.
A total of seven days had passed since their arrival on the fourth floor, and Shane's mana purity had increased to [77.5%] owing to his time on the third and the fourth floor.
Princess Ilya had already cultivated every possible characteristic to the highest degree. The only thing she lacked was better manuals to further improve her cultivation speed.
As such, she hadn't cultivated during the week they had already spent on the fourth floor.
Instead, Princess Ilya had paid attention to the surroundings and evaluated their situation, combat strength, and the chances to complete Shane's system mission without encountering too many dangers.
Meanwhile, Umbra and Cosmo had left the Hidden Paradise, and were trying to be of use as well.
There were several beasts on the fourth floor, which allowed the two tamed beasts to roam around without making heads turn.
Only Umbra's appearance was a little bit too obvious owing to his sheer size and shining black color that made it difficult for him to roam through the woods without attracting any attention, while Cosmo had become the perfect scout.
After Shane reached a mana purity of 77.5% he decided that it was enough for now.
After a week had passed the tension had already intensified.
It had yet to reach the peak which would only happen in the last quarter, but Shane was of the opinion that the first week was more than enough to cultivate.
Princess Ilya told him everything she had figured out, while his tamed beasts did the same.
As such, Shane was fully aware of what was going on.
The situation was quite interesting.
While he had expected that many dungeon challengers would recklessly charge at each other in order to gain more points, this didn't seem to be the case.
On the contrary, most dungeon challengers were trying to recuperate from the injuries they had sustained on the third floor.
Shane had expected that some may have been injured due to the third floor's challenges, but not that literally everyone had more or less sustained severe injuries!
This was astonishing, and only a few were unscathed. However, on the downside, they had amassed too few points in order to reach the next floor.
Thus, they were under a lot of pressure compared to everyone else on the fourth floor.
Because of that, only a few fights had occurred, and the tension was still increasing. It was slow but had a steady build-up.
According to Ilya's assumption, it would take another week, if not two, until every dungeon challenger would be fully recuperated.
However, by that time new injured challengers would emerge. It was not forbidden to cripple or seriously maim the other dungeon challengers on the fourth floor.
As such, it would be the best decision for most of the weaker, yet unscathed dungeon challengers to use the momentum and attack those that were stronger than them but were injured due to the third floor's dangers.
Shane assumed that everyone had roughly received the same task on the third floor, but the execution may have differentiated.
If his assumption was correct, some would have tried conquering the other kingdoms along with the kingdom they were supposed to protect.
On the other hand, others could have had an opponent like Yan, whom Shane and Ilya had avoided antagonizing.
Despite all of that, Shane was still of the opinion that it was not necessary for them to attack others and instill their rage and hatred.
This could wait for another few days. He wanted to plan everything out in order to prevent onlookers from prying on them, or even worse, obstructing him from solving the system mission.
Attracting the rage of 100 opponents was not as easy as it appeared, and Shane had to be the center of their rage.
Neither his tamed beasts, Ilya, nor anyone else, but he had to be the focal point. It wouldn't matter whether the dungeon challengers paid attention to those around him, as long as they hated him the most.
Due to the way the system's mission was worded, Shane had to pay more attention to the details.
As such, even Princess Ilya understood that it was not the best move to act rashly, but instead be careful to prevent the worst-case scenario from occurring.
After the fourth floor's task would be concluded, Shane assumed that the following floors wouldn't have a long countdown like the third and fourth as it was uncommon to have such a long duration for a single floor.
Because of that, he would have to give the other dungeon challengers the sense of accomplishment, otherwise, he might as well have offended everyone, and be killed in the next few floors.
His strength might be among the top owing to his perfect physique, but there were still stronger opponents around him, and a large number of them at that.
Surviving an onslaught of hundreds of opponents that had a combat prowess comparable to overlords was not a laughing matter!
Another week had passed while Shane had continued to carefully investigate everything, and the majority of dungeon challengers had started their hunt.
While fighting against each other, several groups had been badly injured and humiliated. Meanwhile, several permanently crippled opponents used their escape ticket to leave the dungeon in hopes of returning to their shelter where they might be able to heal themselves.
However, contrary to Shane's expectations, the number of crippled prodigies was fairly low, and almost everyone seemed to try to defend their honor as well as retain the pride of the other side.
Shane assumed this to be exactly the case because the races might know each other, and believed that they wanted to prevent waging war in the worst-case scenario.
Nevertheless, with Shane on the fourth floor, this shouldn't be the worst problem as he was the last person to care about giving others a hard time.
He knew that not showing how intimidating he was, would only worsen his time on the following floors.
As such, he had to show the others who the true king of the hill was!!
Nobody was supposed to stand on the top, except him!
