The people around were all looking down at their hands to see if anyone had a silver Star or Gold star. Han could understand why they would do something like this. They were already told that power was the only way to be the best in this Temple, so it was obvious that the celestials would make a method for them to know who had more power than the other person? This would be the best way to set the hierarchy before a fight even Started. But there was also a big problem with this system of ranking. The stronger a person got the harder it was to differentiate levels of power! Two gold ranks wouldn’t know who had more skills than the other and they will have to rely on only luck and chance to see who wins!

How cunning! They were fishing the small fries out and pitching the strong against the strong so they would have proper entertainment! Those celestials really knew how to get people to follow them like cattle, but Han couldn’t help but be impressed!

But what the hell was with his own Star? Why would he have a white Star on his hand instead of one of the three that they mentioned?

“Ah, she has a silver Star!”

Someone suddenly shouted from the front and everyone turned to see a woman standing in the forefront. Han:s eye widened as he saw her. Are those cat ears!? The woman had cat ears on her head and even a tail was swishing behind her. But Han could tell that those weren’t normal cat ears, they were more like lion ears with a golden shine that made her look like royalty. Even her hair was more like a mane than actual hair with how thick it looked. She wore a simple leather shirt and trousers and had an aura of pride around her as she looked around at everyone.

At that moment, everyone knew it was obvious that she was the strongest one here. This not only made her the top in this batch of chosen, but it also made her a target for most other people. Han could see the jealousy and anger some people were already showing. They haven’t even started climbing the temple yet and they were already trying to kill each other with their eyes. Idiots.

Someone then accidentally saw Han’s hand and the person exclaimed as he saw it was white.

“Hey this guy has a white Star! Is he so weak that he can’t even have any of the colors!?”

Laughter echoed throughout the field as people laughed at the joke, but Han ignored it and instead focused on the reaction of the robed man. It was so small that if Han wasn’t looking he would have definitely missed it! Once that man exclaimed, the robed man flinched like he was shocked. Han narrowed his eyes as the man immediately got his composure back. But Han already saw it. I’m onto you! I know there’s a reason for me to have this white Star and I’m going to find out what it is!

The person that first laughed tried to put his hand around Han’s neck from behind. He was glad that he found someone that could be the butt of the joke in this place. Maybe it was destiny that made him see this rookie first. This man can become his foot massager in the future.

But once the man’s hand was about to touch Han, Han’s eyes turned to him and his glare was not small!

[Bloodlust] has been activated.

The man choked and stumbled away from Han and everyone in the room flinched at the same time as a monumental amount of bloodlust filled the entire field. But Han smiled as he turned to the robed figure again. This man was playing with him! So you released your bloodlust at the same time as me to mask my own. What exactly are you paying at!?

It was true that the people in the field weren’t looking at Han. They were all looking up at the robed man with fear in their eyes.

The robed figure kept his bloodlust active for a while before he then calmed it down and started talking. He kept his eyes on Han while he was speaking and made sure that Han knew he was being watched.

“What you do with yourselves out of our watch is none of my business, but you better not try to disrespect me by acting like this ever again.”

Han smiled. So the man knew that Han was about to kill someone and he stopped Han because he was trying to uphold that no killing rule. It was a little funny, but Han decided that he would play along for now.

Someone was gasping behind Han and Han turned to see both Rina and Kim trying to fill their lungs with air. They were being held up by Lily and Rin and Han knew that it was the bloodlust that must’ve made them so terrified. He would hold back, for now, it wasn’t worth killing his girls to teach some idiot a lesson.

The people in the room took a few moments to gather themselves and Han could see that the lioness girl recovered faster than the others. It wasn’t so surprising. For her to have gotten two skills above one fifty before she even came to the temple at all, she must be strong. Han would keep an eye out for her and see how far she goes in the Temple.

The robed man gave them a few more words of advice before he disappeared. Once he left, another bright light shone across the field and transported everyone out.

…..

The robed man that spoke to the chosen was a celestial known as Rugger. He was a tall man with pointed ears and fair skin that showed his race to be elven. Once he came out from the conference with all the new chosen he immediately moved away from that room and began to think while walking out.

That man, Han. How was it possible for him to be a white Star already!? In truth, they don’t tell the chosen about all the Stars you can have. There were two more Stars that a person could have in this Temple. The White Star and the black Star. For someone to have the white Star before they even moved past floor one was unheard of!! He had to report this as soon as possible!

He was about to reach the office where he could make his report but the scientist suddenly appeared from around the corridor and waved to him with a smile. The elf’s smile widened and he was happy to meet a superior here! He could tell this scientist and he would surely know what to do!

“Sir! The chosen from planet EZ-223223! He is a white Star!”

The scientist rose a brow curiously before his expressíon turned to excitement. So that chosen was already past two skills with level two hundred. I wonder how strong that man is now! It wasn’t too long since I saw him and I know he didn’t have enough power to be a white Star back then! Did this happen recently? Was it that time when Dorea asked to meet the chosen? If it was that time then why didn’t Dorea say anything about it? She didn’t even report any anomalies with his system or behavior. This woman was now hiding things from him, was she? He knew she was falling for this man but he didn’t think it is so strong that she would hide something from him because of it. How disappointing.

The elf waited patiently for the scientist to give him orders, but instead of orders, he suddenly saw a bright smile appear on the man’s face. Now he knew there was something wrong because whenever this scientist smiles like that, there is always trouble. The scientist touched the elf’s shoulder.

“This news, I would like you to keep it between us,”

“B-But -!!”

“Rugger, don’t tell me you aren’t interested in knowing what might become of the temple because of this man! It isn’t time to take him out yet, my curiosity isn’t yet satisfied! He could be the most entertaining to watch, but if you tell the creator now, then they will just want to use him for experiments! They don’t understand what it means to experience true entertainment!”

Rugger narrowed his eyes and shrugged the scientist’s handoff. If this scientist was going to lie to the creator and other celestials for his curiosity then Rugger didn’t want any part of it! He would tell them himself and they would bring that Han out of the temple so they can figure out exactly why he was so strong!

“I have no time to play your games! We have to report this as soon as possible so there won’t be any issues in the Temple! We need the balance to remain like it is now!”

Rugger turned to walk away from the scientist, but the scientist sighed. The sacrifices he had to make for the sake of science.

He stretched his hand out to the back of Rugger and a white beam of light shot out and stabbed into Rugger’s back! Rugger’s eyes widened as his back arched in pain!

“I can’t have you doing that, Rugger, this immortal life is too boring for me to have something as interesting as this go. So I’ll just take you somewhere you can’t cause me any issues. Goodbye, Rugger”

A black hole opened under Rugger and he fell through. The scientist closed it and then put his hand behind his back while walking away. The report that Rugger was supposed to submit would tell a story of multiple bronze Stars and only one silver Star appearing in the field, and no one would know about Han for a long time because of the scientist’s curiousity!
