The next day, Han went to see how Miss Kim was doing in the hospital. He was told by the doctor there that she work up that previous day and has been waiting for him to come all this time. He entered her room and saw another man sitting in front of her bed. He looked quite old, but Han recognized him immediately.

The CEO of Park enterprises. Miss Kim’s father.

Once Han entered the room, Miss Kim’s eyes lit up and she turned towards him happily. Han eyed her for a moment before noticing that her father was also looking at him. What do you want old man?

“I just came to see if you were okay. If you’re busy I’ll leave,”

Han said this before he turned to leave the room, Miss Kim quickly stretched out her hand to stop him, but it was her father that spoke up.

He was a stern man that stood with a tall and regal attitude and his bald head reminded Han of a basketball.

“Young man, is this how you treat people you just met? How about you greet me properly for being your elder at least?”

Han turned his head to eye the man curiously before turning and jotting out his hand for a handshake. If the man wanted a greeting then it was the least Han could do.

“It’s a pleasure. My name is Han Luo. I hope we can get along,”

The man narrowed his eyes. The way Han just spoke, he couldn’t tell if Han was saying it was a pleasure for Han to meet him or the other way around. But he wasn’t one to turn away a handshake from someone who could be a business partner in the future. Han Luo was now richer than the entire park family put together. If there was someone that he didn’t need to antagonize, it was Han.

“It’s a pleasure. I heard from my daughter that you saves her life from Fen Ren. I am truly grateful for what you did. If only I can find that boy I would have killed him”

Han rose a brow. How did Kim know that it was Han that saved her? Did she ask the nurses? Well, it didn’t matter. There was no need for him to be bothered since she was alright. And concerning the body, you’re probably never going to find it. The underground deals with its issues thoroughly, you know. All of the Ren family are probably under hundreds of feet of snow and stone by now.

Han smiled at the man and then nodded.

“I’m happy that she is doing fine? I just did what anyone would have done at that point. If you’ll excuse me, I have to be going now,”

Miss Kim quickly spoke up before Han could go.

“Wait, Han… Father, can you give us a moment? I want to talk to him, please?”

Her father sighed before he turned and left the room. He didn’t expect anything to happen to his daughter because he trusted this man. But it was still a father’s duty to worry.

But this Han Luo. To go from one of the poorest men in this world to the richest man in less than a year. Either your luck is beyond even the gods, or you’re hiding something. Mr. Park knew who Han was before he became this rich. He has seen Han at H&C advertisement before and he always thought this was just another man who was always down on his luck. But now, he couldn’t even see the smallest trace of such a man in Han. It was like looking at a different person. Well, it didn’t matter. Right now he had to go find that Fen Ren and make sure he knows that there was nowhere in this world he could go to hide. He would die for daring to touch the Park family.

Inside the room, Miss Kim was fidgeting while Han stood off to the side, looking outside the window. She squeezed the bedsheets tightly while trying to come out with what she wanted to say! Why can’t she just talk to Han anymore!?

“H-Han…”

“You don’t need to say anything. I know, and it’s fine,”

Miss Kim looked up at Han and saw that he was still staring out the window. Small tears brimmed at the corner of her eyes and started to fall down her cheek. What? What was this feeling? It feels like she just lost something big.

Han looked back at her and he saw he tears. He closed his eyes and sighed. He felt nothing.

“I don’t know why, but I know. Everything you did was for your family, I understand that. Maybe if you told me earlier about the marriage, then things would have been easier for everyone. Maybe we could have worked something out. But that was a long time ago, Kim,”

Miss Kim shook her head. No… This isn’t how it was supposed to go. She knows he loves her! She knows! A small chuckle escaped her lips.

“Y-You recorded yourself as my husband in the hospital?”

Han laughed lightly and the ghost of a smile appeared on his face. He knew that would come back to bite him in the ass.

“Yeah, I had to be family for them to start treating you. But I don’t think we should be having this conversation while you’re still ill… Get some sleep -”

“No! Wait, let’s have this, please! I… I feel like I won’t have any other chance to do this! I feel like you’ll disappear and never look at me again! I… I love you, Han. Even when I was engaged, even from back then! I loved you! I still love you and I know you loved me too! So, please… Please, love me… Please,”

Miss Kim was now crying openly and her hands were bunched up tightly against the bedsheets. She closed her eyes and bowed her head as she heard Han sigh. Han put his hands in his pocket and leaned back against the wall. His silence broke her heart.

Miss Kim already knew that it was hard for Han to love her at all. They never even had a real conversation before the time she fired him, but it was still her hope that he loved her. She fell in love with him when he saved her company and she couldn’t get him out of her mind since then. She smiled sadly as she realized that she really lost everything this time.

“I’m leaving this place soon,”

Han said this suddenly and he saw how Kim’s face became confused. He walked closer to her bed and looked down at her.

“I feel… Something for you. But I won’t be here for long at all. I’ll be leaving this plane to go somewhere for a while. What will you do now?”

Miss Kim didn’t fully understand what Han was saying. What did he mean by he was leaving this plane? Was he going to another city? No, it wouldn’t be so serious if it was just another city. But Miss Kim didn’t care. If Han was going somewhere then it means he wouldn’t be near her anymore. She won’t let that happen.

“I’ll go with you,”

Han narrowed his eyes. He already knew she would say something like this but he wouldn’t have her come with him if she was just mumbling like a child. This was a big choice and she had to show him that she meant it.

“I didn’t hear that. Say it like you actually mean it if you do,”

“I said I’ll go with you! Anywhere you go, I’ll come there too! Just, please… Don’t leave me behind,”

Han gave a small smile and Miss Kim immedaitely knew she made the right choice.
