216 Chapter 215: Similarities

Swoosh!

Damon’s body soared through the lonely clouds and he remained lost in thoughts as he moved. He said nothing and did nothing to clear this feeling but allowed it to sink in. The distance between the outer gate and the capital is a trip that would take weeks for the average man. The only reason Damon and the rest could cross such distance almost instantly is simply because of their high cultivation base.

[Just like this, everything you choose to protect will slowly slip out of your hands… I am the only one who can protect it all] Sol’s cruel tone ranged in Damon’s mind but he simply continued ignoring it since he didn’t have much of a choice.

But then again, why was he mad at Blink?

The kid simply did something he was unable to do. He should be ashamed for letting his disciple play such an important role in an issue he has no business getting involved in.

“Hehe! I guess I have a lot to apologize for” Damon muttered with a bitter smile but soon the smile on his face froze and he looked up.

Brrrrrrrr!

The entire kingdom kept shaking as the magic towers began spinning back to life. Damon leaned forward and frowned at what he was seeing. Back then when the magic towers were broken, he was stunned at first but he already guessed Blink was responsible for this so he didn’t think much about it but now it seems the enemy had found a way to revive the war machines.

Fuck!

.....

Damon suddenly regretted not dashing for the capital when he got the chance. Even an angel realm being like him found these magic towers annoying, talk more of four all on him.

Hmph!

Damon snorted disdainfully as his body drifted backward and numerous magic arrays began forming around him while his eyes darted around.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

His cold eyes turned to that of one filled with fear as he watched all the attacks fly past him, pushing towards the part of the kingdom where his undead army was left behind.

“You!!!” Damon instantly remembered his undead soldiers cannot resist the power of these towers. Back then he was there to protect them but now it was different!

“Good! Good! I must confess this was not an expected outcome but If you think it’s over then you must be wrong! Let me see who will fall first, the Gyro Kingdom or my undead army!” Damon growled as he shot toward the capital with fierce power!

......

Blink was still on his knees and the enemy forces rooted their positions when the sky was completely covered in bright light!

Swoosh!

Blink’s eyes narrowed as he released what was happening. He could help but nodded in approval since he never expected the enemy would be able to fix the damaged formation this quickly. In his eyes, Gerald’s image was reflected. For some reason, Blink felt like that man is probably the main problem they have to deal with now.

“Should I?”

Like a child too scared to make a move due to the fear of infuriating Damon. He considered the possibility of going back to that place, completely destroying the formation and killing Gerald but after Damon’s words, he suddenly felt uncomfortable with doing anything outside Damon’s orders.

He finally experienced the fear others felt when dealing with his master.

“Now is not the time!” Blink’s eyes chilled as he realized the attacks were getting closer and he frowned.

With a glance, he already guessed the attack range would cover both the undead army and the weak soldiers of these weak clans. In the end, they were simply meant to be a tool that will be used to reduce Damon’s forces.

“Even my master won’t dare use such disgusting tactics on his undying soldiers and you dare use it on the living! Have you no shame?” Blink growled furiously but there was nothing he could do.

The moment he arrived at the rooftop, only one person noticed him even before he arrived but simply chose not to act! The decisive look in the eyes of the enemy is not something Blink could deny. Those eyes had enough resolve that if one were to pay good attention one would realize the look in his eyes was no different from the look in Damon’s eyes.

In fact, both of them give off different vibes but they were actually the same as Damon. In his opinion, Gerald was simply a different Damon with a different background, life experiences, and powers. Circumstances and chance are just what separates Damon and Gerald and that’s why Blink is terrified.

Going against a foe like that, he believed Damon had no business holding back and that’s why he didn’t want Damon’s fighting spirit to be shattered by the weak human. Even with a powerful cultivation base, he still thought if Damon got reckless he would be killed without even getting to know it!

“I guess I can only do my best and leave the best to him!” Blink said with a sigh as his eyes revealed a silver light.

He clasped his hands together and his body radiated a bright silver light. Above the two forces belonging to the Gyro Kingdom and the blood mountain a massive silver spatial gate opened all the attacks from the magic towers poured in!

......….

Seated in a cross-legged position, Gerald, who was focused on maintaining the formation, stopped suddenly and turned to Dillian.

“Divert all mana to shield!” Gerald and Dillain only gave him a momentarily confused glance but he ultimately did as he was told. Just as soon as he was completing his task he saw a massive spatial gate open above them and an energy attack of the magic towers rained down on them.

“This kid is truly something else! The death mage really found a gold mine” Gerald commented with a smile.

If he hadn’t set up the spatial zone, Blink would have been able to open the spatial gate directly over them, forcing them to deal with the bombardment but due to that little adjustment, his spatial magic could only manifest outside the capital.

Above it!
