While it might have sounded complicated at first, the process of refining the Inheritance Core was not only simple but also easily understandable once its inner workings were explained. However…
How was one supposed to do the same with the core of an Interdimensional Invader? That was the real question that hovered in Leo's mind, at least until this point.
From the point of view of a reader, some desired more details about omitted scenes to satisfy their curiosity, and some others wished that more would be omitted though they could scroll or flip through the story quicker, but in the end, all of them had a point when they created countless hypothesis about these scenes under the provocation of the story.
'So the omission directly translates to simplicity in a reality like this?'
In reality, things didn't go according to any of the exaggerated theories that Leo had in mind back then. There was no new organ implantation, nor was there any form of brainwashing.
Everything was taken care of by the creator of this digestion process!
Compared to the start of the entire process, there weren't even any steps to count. As soon as it reached its last reserves, the Inheritance Core automatically linked itself to the Demon Lord's core, directly skipping the formalities and grabbing hold of the 'energy' trapped inside.
'As long as you are on the correct side, the world of novels is certainly convenient.'
In simple words, the Inheritance Core was acting as a straw-like apparatus that stepped forward to make things proceed with ease, and as if to prove the process's efficiency, the accumulated energy that had been lying dormant in Leo's body started moving about in excitement.
Thanks to the thoughtfulness of the person behind the whole venture, Leo and Yeon had now moved on to the second stage of the process, absorbing otherworldly energy!
Compared to when it was in its crystallized form, the processed energy seemed to cause some form of agitation in Leo's Internal Energy, both old and new accumulations. If Leo could liken it to something, it was as if a blonde had suddenly entered a class of dark-haired students.
As strange as that example was, it really felt that way to Leo. Just like a group of students that had varied reactions, part of the Internal Energy moved far away from it while another part curiously approached it, as if… It was checking out the unfamiliar yet interesting visitor!
What made Leo feel relieved, however, was that there was no clear hostility between either end. The otherworldly energy simply proceeded in the direction of the Dantian, unbothered by the reaction of the introverted blobs of resident energies.
'This is much more interesting!'
Absorbing the energy of the Inheritance Core and figuring out the thoughts behind it was enlightening, but accepting an otherworldly matter into his body and observing its reaction was on a whole new level of enlightenment!
His Internal Energy which had been nothing but a silent tool listening into his every request as he welded it to every form and shape was moving of its own thoughts for the very first time.
Others may panic from seeing this, but Leo was even calmer than before. The only reason he could observe the Internal Energy's reaction was that he greatly relaxed his control over it, everything was fully under his control!
Perhaps thanks to his energy connection with Yeon, Leo noticed that Yeon's situation was similar to his when he glanced at her. If his guess wasn't wrong, it looked like it was better to let the energy do its thing instead of actively absorbing it like at the very start.
'Should I say that martial arts practice is too simple to the point of it being a boon?'
It definitely had a lot to do with the quality of the Scarlet Sky Technique, but seeing both forms of energy being incorporated into each other sent Leo into another whirlpool of thoughts.
Normally, something of foreign characteristics would find it hard to fit anywhere. However, the practice of martial arts in Murim emphasized the fact that any form of energy could be utilized to build up the path of a Martial Artist.
In short, even if it came from an otherworldly Demon Lord, this foreign energy was still nothing more than a tonic for Martial Artists. Of course, that was only if they used the correct method to absorb it.
In fact, it seemed to be far more than just that. Retaining its flexibility, Leo's new energy accumulation wasn't just accepting the otherworldly energy… It was already fusing with it!
Slowly but surely, Leo felt that an extra effect would blossom with the end of this process, but to his disappointment, the result was another dry climax just like when he hoped to break through earlier.
'Right… It's not meant for me.'
The so-called transformation that he felt was currently taking place within Yeon's body. Regardless of its 'entry' date, all the energy in her body rushed to accept the new visitor following the initial probing.
It was all coming together to give birth to a wholly new type of energy, giving out a different energy signature from the original two!
'So this is how the True 'Demon Sealing' ability is formed.'
Leo had a rough understanding of it before, but he could now see it all in action.
Unlike the situation in his case, the foreign energy that Yeon absorbed was like a vaccine. A weakened, somewhat docile virus that her body accepted to create a stream of antibodies!
Considering what Leo had just observed, it was safe to say that the entirety of Yeon's Internal Energy had now transformed into some form of 'demon antibodies'. If the invasion event was to repeat itself, she would be able to perform the same role as that of the previous Heavenly Demon.
'Well…'
Unfortunately, only those who reached Yeon's degree of mastery in the Scarlet Sky Technique could achieve this state.
Still…
'I guess I should be happy with what I received?'
It wasn't like Leo had walked out of this without any gains!
