"Is it customary to sit with your harem during an official operation with high-class officials?" Salkey asked in annoyance.
Marie, Charlotte, [and] Riley turned murderous gazes to the man.
Salkey trembled reflexively.
Helix chuckled and patted Marie on the head.
Then he gave the man a mocking smile.
"Surely you jest, Chief Salkey." Helix chuckled.
"This is not acceptable by Earthian standards.
However, yesterday, four soldiers tried to kill me in [your] jurisdiction."
Masov and Salkey's eyes widened in surprise.
"Chalk it up with a Thymian Knight, five guards, two nobles, and a dozen people have tried to kill me in three days." Helix said with a slight smile.
"Eight of those happened before my address, and I was asked to be held in confinement on treason charges.
Forgive me if I want to keep my overpowered partners from getting moody on our way to show you our power."
The men's expressions crumbled, and they looked at the group with trembling fear.
Helix narrowed his eyes on the man.
The light white traces in his black iris' reflected the sunlight.
"Chief Salkey. The moment Alzeria treats me as a guest is the day that I'll sit with you." Helix said with a cold voice.
"We're flying to a spot for a demonstration to help take us seriously.
Until that point arrives, I won't sit with someone that won't shake my hand."
Salkey was sweating, but not as much as Masov was.
Masov was the person trying to gain Helix's support.
The Defense Chief was making that very difficult from the beginning.
It was a mess.
"I see. So it's customary." Salkey laughed nervously.
"Ye~p. It's quite normal for people to be wary of the people trying to harm them." Charlotte sang.
"I agree. Usually, when a leader faces a threat from the defense leaders of another country, it breaks down negotiations immediately." Marie added.
"Even if a conflict is avoided, allyship shuts down, and the force will not join sides."
"I think it's strange. In Alzeria, isn't it customary to treat potential allies with respect even if you don't like them?
Or is that an Earthian concept?" Riley asked with a sickly-sweet voice.
Salkey's mouth opened and closed multiple times.
Masov had a slight panic attack.
"From where we're from, that behavior is unacceptable.
At a minimum, it's expected that the leaders politely ask people to leave instead of asking for their support." Helix chuckled with madness swirling in his eyes.
"However, we're not taking this an offense because we're four people and not a country."
Helix flashed them a joking smile.
A moment later, his face turned serious.
"But the minute you see an entire hill 250 meters wide get turned into rubble, I'd like to see that respect.
Because Alzeria keeps treating us this way, we'll abide by Earthian customs, leave, and never return."
Salkey's eye started twitching.
"You act like you have the power to fight back against an entire country." He growled.
"Do you know who you remind me of, Mr. Salkey?" Charlotte chimed.
The man turned to her.
"The guards that started slashing at Hellie while staring down a mass~ive skull from a Colossus."
Salkey's eyes narrowed, but he swallowed.
"Because I'm pre~tty sure that you've seen that mythical skull, and now you're speaking arrogantly and strikingly.
However, you should've spoken to those guards who learned the~hard~way." Charlotte smacked.
"It was pretty amazing." Marie giggled.
"Helix just stood still while a Level 160+ guard slashed down at him at full strength.
You should've seen his face when he realized his sword didn't even touch Helix's coat."
The three women burst into giggles.
Masov and Salkey started breathing heavily.
"I thought it was cute!" Riley giggled.
"When Helix announced that he was wearing a level 157 Warpshire coat, the guards thought they could cut him.
They forgot about the defense stat completely."
Salkey shivered.
Masov closed his eyes and groaned inwardly.
"But that's not what's funny!" Riley giggled.
The two men gave her a baffled expression.
"The funny part is that they didn't know living Warpshires are third-evolution beasts."
The women burst into giggles.
Both of the men's eyes widened in shock.
"It would have been priiiiice~less if he kept letting those men attack him ten times to break his defense stat." Charlotte sang.
"Then they could've taken turns slashing at the coat for the next hour until Hellie got bored and walked away!"
Salkey and Masov stared at Helix in disbelief.
Helix turned to the two men with a slight smile.
"This is the coat. Would you two like to give it a shot?" He asked while popping his collar.
"We still have an hour."
Salkey's face heated up, and his face clammed up.
"How~cute." Riley giggled.
"They think we're joking!"
The women burst into giggles.
Helix chuckled and patted them on their heads.
Then he turned to Salkey.
"Ask us to leave or wipe that scowl off your face." Helix demanded with a frigid voice.
Helix's eyes were fueled with disdain, causing Salkey to shutter.
"You heard how many people tried to execute me for baseless accusations, and the Alzerian kingdom did nothing to address it.
I was attacked at 9 pm by four people in the soldier's quarters, under [your] jurisdiction.
You showed up the next day, didn't shake my hand, mocked us, threatened us, and now you're indignant we're being rude.
You can't even wait an hour to respect my reasonable request to work with you so our spells don't kill your soldiers." Helix scoffed.
"Until we get to the site, please be quiet.
Otherwise, I'll report your despicably unprofessional behavior to the Queen and cite it as the reason for leaving Alzeria."
Masov froze.
Queen Liliana desperately wanted Helix and his partners on his side.
If Helix threatened them, it was one thing.
However, they were under heat if Helix went through normal channels to strike them.
Salkey was stunned in disbelief.
He was still staring at the area where Helix's face was.
However, he had already moved it, so it was clear he was staring at nothing.
The man messed up, and his pride wouldn't allow him to apologize to someone who was barely an adult.
So the group sat in silence.
Helix watched the Gryphon glide through the air with fascination.
He resolved that he would journey to a new country after the attack on a Gryphon so they could enjoy it.
The atmosphere was awkward and dark.
Helix couldn't care less, however.
He wouldn't burn bridges with a country at any costs.
However, in less than an Earthian month, Alzeria wouldn't exist, and all of his political problems would instantly disappear.
It was the darkest joke of all.
Marie played with Helix's hand with a warm smile on her face.
He wanted to hold her because she was so cute.
Helix loved his partners, and he was glad they weren't completely crushed by their situation.
He, Marie, Charlotte, and Riley, loved the landing.
The Gryphon glided down and started flapping its wings.
However, contrary to expectations, it didn't feel turbulent.
It was similar to a rollercoaster high on mana dust.
The group touched down on a large hillside.
"See ya down there, chiefs." Charlotte said while giving a mocking salute.
Before the riders could dock down, Charlotte casually jumped off the side of the Gryphon.
Masov and Salkey's expressions crumbled.
There was a 50-foot drop off that side of the Gryphon!
Marie stood up, laced her fingers, stretched, yawned, and looked at Helix.
"I'll see in a sec."
She pecked Helix on the cheek and then jumped off without looking down.
"Riley, I'd like to go down with style." Helix said with a warm smile.
"Your wish is my command." Riley said with a smile.
She wrapped her hand around his waist and jumped in the air.
"[Wind~Dance]" Riley chimed.
The two flew off the Gryphon and began doing circles in their air like ice skaters.
Helix was dying, watching the two men's expressions.
"Alright. That's enough." Helix chuckled.
"See you soon!"
Helix waved, and Riley gently glided to the ground.
The two men were shocked in disbelief when they saw the group.
They were watching clouds on the bottom of the hilltop.
They hadn't jumped down to the hill—they jumped to the bottom.
"Hey!~" Charlotte cried out.
"Can we level that hill?"
"What? That's a mountain!" Stalky barked.
The [mountain] was as large as the biggest hill.
The difference was that one was made of solid rock.
"Hmmm. Good point! Can we level both?" Charlotte asked with a grin.

I'll be releasing one chapter daily for the unforeseeable future, as my new novel isn't being opened to voting. I can't continue doing this as a passion; I'm very discouraged right now.
Please consider searching for "Playboy Cultivator in the Apocalypse." Despite its name, it's a serious apocalypse novel with the same level of complex character development.
It is a dual cultivation novel. So know that. Thanks for reading!]
