The day slipped into night as the sun sank below the horizon.

daggers at Chui Yim, who ignored his angry stares as he was currently engaged in a conversation with Kam Chin Kee about gliphism.

Just as the residence started to brim with awkwardness, Yeung Chun and Lam Ming Sum came over to save the day.

“Dinner time!” Lam Ming Sum walked in joyfully with the largest basin the teenagers had ever seen. It looked massive in the petite Lam Ming Sum’s hands.

“Which delicious dish did Ming Sum make us today?” Kam Chin Kee turned to her curiously, but he could not identify the thick top layer.

“Hehe.” Lam Ming Sum let out a sneaky smile as her eyes curled. “It’s a new creation. Hurry and give it a try!”

Hearing her, Chui Yim, Kan Hang, and Kam Chin Kee exchanged glances. The words “new creation” along with Lam Ming Sum’s expression triggered bad memories, especially for Chui Yim, who lived under the same roof as Lam Ming Sum for years.

“I’m… feeling slightly sick… Please excuse me.”

However, the human gliphic beast Chui Yim who withstood more than a hundred attacks from Yeung Tin Hun failed to escape Lam Ming Sum, who suddenly gained the speed of a monster. Springing out of her seat like a rabbit, she pulled Chui Yim back forcefully. “Brother Chui, do not run away! I promise it will be good this time!”

This attracted the attention of the fuming Yeung Tin Hun and the stone-faced Man Yee Ho. Yeung Tin Hun knew how sneaky Chui Yim was and he couldn’t help but lament at how much of a scaredy-cat his great uncle was. He recalled his father’s and fourth uncle’s reactions after learning about Yeung Chun sneaking out the day before Yeung Tin Hun left for South Imperial City….

Chui Yim would have been slashed into eighteen pieces if it was Fourth Uncle he went against.

Yeung Tin Hun had experienced Chui Yim’s craftiness firsthand, and watching him escaping from an ordinary girl’s cooking in such a sorry state relieved his anger. At the same time, Lam Ming Sum’s cooking sparked his curiosity.

“Ta-da! My new creation, the Ming Sum One-Pot Meal!” Lam Ming Sum introduced enthusiastically while dismay washed over the faces of Kam Chin Kee, Chui Yim, and Kan Hang.

The name of the dish itself sounds incredibly suspicious…

However, Yeung Chun could not stand their reactions. “What’s with all the faces? This is the hard work of me and Ming Sum!”

What have I done wrong… The trio nearly burst into tears.

Lam Ming Sum did not care about their reactions and continued excitedly. “This is a very nutritious dish!” With that, she turned to Chui Yim. “I know how hard Brother Chui has been cultivating recently, thus I added g-food to this dish for Brother Chui to replenish nutrition. The first layer is made of flame-tailed chicken and seamouth.

“As for the next layers, the ingredients are simpler. There’s pork rind, fat choy, fish maw, and other stuff to absorb the soup from the seamouth and flame-tailed chicken.

“This is followed by carrot and tofu skin to absorb the essence from the previous layers too.

“Finally, we reach the fourth layer, the essence of this dish – snow rose pig. After hours of cooking and infusing with the essence of the other ingredients, the tough meat of snow rose pork is now soft and tasty!

“It’s smooth and aromatic, not too fatty nor saturated. As for the last layer, I used carrots, shiitake mushrooms…”

The list of ingredients left everybody present drooling. Who would have thought that such an ordinary-looking dish would be made of such a plethora of treasures? Chui Yim gulped, no longer fearful of Lam Ming Sum’s new creation.

“Looks great this time round… Dig in, everyone!”

Man Yee Ho did not have great passion for food. Born in Spiky Tree Woods, he was raised by gliphic beasts and led a spartan lifestyle. Things remained the same even after becoming Man Ching Hung’s disciple, thus the tough journey to the South was nothing special to Man Yee Ho.

However, things were different for Yeung Tin Hun, the son of Four Season Mountain’s sect leader, Yeung Ha. The climate in the North was bad, but as one of the three biggest organisations, they definitely had better living conditions than the rest as well as abundant resources for them to purchase food from the South. It was accurate to say that Yeung Tin Hun had led a luxurious life.

His mother doted on him like a pearl in the palm and fed him with countless g-food meals. From there, Yeung Tin Hun gained knowledge of g-food.

Flame-tailed chicken was literally a chicken with a burning tail that would only be put out when the beast’s life came to an end. It was a fire-attributed beast with soft flesh, but due to its nature, eating carelessly processed flame-tailed chicken would result in an injured stomach.

On the other hand, the snow rose pig was more than its cute name and cute, snowy white appearance. The beast was kind of ferocious and was ice-attributed. By spitting frost, the beast would freeze its opponents. It was also a well-known beast since ancient times, and legends said that snow rose pigs of grade four and above possessed the ability to change the weather, making it snow. This beast normally resided in the North Pole, and putting aside using it for culinary purposes, it rarely showed itself to the world

Did this girl just make g-food with ingredients from all around the world!?

Despite hesitating, the aroma made everyone drool.

“I’ll dig in!” Chui Yim said and grabbed a piece of the flame-tailed chicken, gobbling it down. “Delicious!”

This put a huge smile on Lam Ming Sum’s face that even made her eyes smile, watching Chui Yim eat in satisfaction. Kam Chin Kee picked up his chopsticks and dug in immediately. The basin was large, but Chui Yim’s appetite was larger.

Kan Hang and Yeung Chun joined too, even the ice-cold Kan Hang was gobbling down food like there were people who would fight him for it, which left Yeung Tin Hun and Man Yee Ho shocked. The former’s stomach growled when he saw how contentedly his great uncle was eating.

He reached for the pot with his chopsticks. Chui Yim only spared him a glance before going back to his bowl.

After eating a piece of the pork rind on the second layer that was infused with the essence of chicken and fish like a sponge, Yeung Tin Hun joined the rest in fighting for food. Man Yee Ho dug in when he saw Yeung Tin Hun doing so. He ate more gracefully compared to them, bit by bit, but in fact, he was eating no more slowly than the rest.
