"Help!" Camilla shouted at the top of her lungs but to no avail, it seemed that there was no one else outside of the room she was locked in.
She had been banging on the door for the last hour or so, begging for someone, anyone to hear her.
Lucius Ting had locked her in a windowless room, he had men leave water, food, and a bucket. It seemed like he was going to be gone for a while and he wanted to be sure she wouldn't die on him.
Camilla closed her eyes as she recalled what happened after news of Louise's arrest had arrived.
"Did you know about this?" Lucius Ting asked as Camilla stared at him in shock.
She had just come to and was fighting off his sexual advances a few minutes ago and now he wanted her to provide him with information. How self centered was this man?
"Do you think Cedric still trusts me that much?" Camilla asked as she threw a question back at him.
To her surprise he grabbed her by the neck as he slowly started to strengthen his grip.
"Don't you ever answer back at me that way, bitch!" Lucius Ting accused. "We both know you never liked my sister, she never liked you either, but I was hoping that you could at least be civil. I love you both, but don't make me choose between my family and you Camilla, you should know better."
"I knew nothing about this." Camilla managed to choke out as Lucius loosened his grip.
"I hope you didn't." Lucius Ting spat out as he threw Camilla back on the bed strong enough for her to hit the head board and an audible thud to be heard.
Camilla wanted to cry out in pain as she felt her head make contact with the hard wooden frame, but she didn't want to give Lucius Ting the satisfaction of hearing her affected by his actions.
"Stop pretending to be strong and brave, Camilla, we both know you are in pain." Lucius said as he glared at his girlfriend.
"I thought you loved me." Camilla cried out, venting her pain as false anger as she continued to sell her act of loving and dutiful girlfriend.
In the back of her mind she was already celebrating, more than happy that Cedric and Katerina had found a way to get Louise Ting to face justice.
After all the horrible things that woman had done to others, it was nice to hear that she would pay for her crimes.
Suddenly, Lucius Ting burst out laughing.
"I love you, but I love my family more." Lucius said as he glared at Camilla. "I will make you pay if I learn that you played with me."
"And if I never did, do you think I would ever forgive you for this?!" Camilla shouted, she was furious at this man, how could he declare his love for a woman and hurt her at the same time. It was simply barbaric.
"Of course, we are meant to be together." Lucius Ting said quite confidently as he picked her up from the bed and threw her over his shoulder.
"Let me go!" Camilla shouted as she kicked and punched.
"Resist and my people will kill your traitor of a brother." Lucius Ting threatened. "They will make it look like he committed suicide after being guilty of murder."
Camilla immediately stopped fighting, she knew that Lucius Ting meant, it was a tactic she had seen him use in the past.
He had framed someone who had betrayed him for the murder of an innocent passerby that they had killed.
Lucius Ting's threat not only involved the death of one person, but of two. It would also forever taint the name of the accused murderer, leaving his or her family to live with the consequences and stigma of having a criminal as a relative.
"Good, you understand my threat." Lucius Ting said with a laugh as he kicked open a door that Camilla did not see.
Lucius Ting threw Camilla to the cold floor of what was the storage closet she was being kept in now.
She looked around and found it almost bare, as if it were prepared to hold someone hostage and lock them up.
"My men made sure I had somewhere to keep you." Lucius Ting boasted. "They are quite efficient and they already know what I want."
"Then date and marry them!" Camilla shouted.
Lucius Ting frowned at her words, it seemed to strike a nerve. He walked towards Camilla, who was now slumped against the wall, using it to support her already weakened condition. Lucius Ting raised a hand and slapped her hard across the cheek, making her throw her head to the side.
"You know well enough that I want you and only you." Lucius Ting hissed before turning around and exiting the room.
He turned back as several of his men entered, leaving Camilla with food, water, and a bucket for her needs.
"I want you where I can find you." Lucius Ting told Camilla in a threatening tone as he closely watched her expression, trying to figure out how she felt. "When I get back, I will know if you are a traitor or not."
Before Camilla could even answer back, Lucius Ting slammed the door behind him, locking it.
Camilla waited till she felt that it was safe for her to cry, when she sensed that no one was outside the room she was locked in, she began to sob.
She prayed that Cedric or Guan Ming would rescue her. She was tired of being brave, tired of always fighting, right now she just needed to be saved.
Eventually, after letting all of her emotions out, she gathered her strength and began banging on the door, crying out for help.
Opening her eyes once more, Camilla heard a loud explosion.
She prayed to God that it was someone on her side.
"Where is she?" She heard a familiar voice, one that she had heard everyday as she toiled in the Reyes Group.
"Ian!" Camilla cried out as she banged against the door. "Ian! I'm here!" Camilla shouted.
"Camilla!" Ian screamed back as Camilla heard the door knob rattle.
"It's locked you idiot!" Camilla shouted, annoyed at how stupid her friend was acting. It seemed that even at moments like these he could still find ways to make her smile.
"Camilla, stay away from the door, we are going to break it down." Ian called out. "We'll give you thirty seconds to move."
Camilla quickly scrambled to get as far away from the door as she could.
In the background she could hear Ian barking orders.
"Get them all out of here and find them a safe place to stay, I'll inform the boss, just get them out!" Ian shouted.
"Camilla, we are breaking it down now." Ian said across the door as Camilla braced herself for what could be a messy rescue.
She heard a loud bang as the hinges of the door were broken and the door itself was thrown open.
Once she was sure that it was safe, Camilla got up and started shouting, calling for her old friend.
"Ian!" Camilla said as she jumped into his arms and sobbed.
Just being around someone familiar was more than enough, it made her cry, it made her vulnerable, and most of all it made her feel safe.
Here was one of her oldest friends, saving her, possibly with the resources from both her boyfriend and their other friend.
"Come on, Cedric sent me on his chopper to make sure you were safe, we are flying back in it." Ian said as he pulled his friend out of the dark room towards the mansion's vast garden.
"Are you alright? Do you need me to carry you?" Ian asked Camilla.
She simply shook her head as she followed Ian out.
"My brother, you need to get Benedict. Lucius Ting will be after him once he finds out I've been rescued." Camilla told her friend.
"Don't worry, he's been moved to the Reyes Mansion." Ian told Camilla, putting her worries at ease.
Camilla simply nodded as they made their way to the helicopter.
"Guan Ming was furious when he found out what happened to you." Ian said with a frown.
"Why the hell would you tell him?" Camilla asked angrily as she glared at her friend.
"Camilla, he has the right to know that you are in danger." Ian told his friend as he helped her up to get into the helicopter. "Cedric took full responsibility for what happened, you can call Guan Ming the moment we land at the Reyes Mansion."
"Why there?" Camilla asked Ian, she was assuming that she would be brought either to the Reyes Group or to Mountain View. Both places were quite secure and she could help more from there.
"Cedric doesn't want us all to be in just one place, he'd rather spread us out. He wants to keep Lucius Ting confused and lost." Ian explained to Camilla.
"I won't be able to help from the Reyes Mansion." Camilla said with a frown.
"Camilla, after what happened, do you really think Cedric or Guan Ming will allow you to be involved or to help?" Ian asked. "Even I wouldn't. You need to think of yourself and of the rest of us Camilla, we were all worried sick."
"But -" Camilla was cut off when Ian gestured for the pilot to start the chopper, completely stopping Camilla from arguing back.
