"Why do you need to contact the father of Julia's child?" Jonathan asked as he ate his food.

"Jonathan, we have something to tell you and it's not good news." Adrianna said with a frown as she looked at the young man.

"Okay?" Jonathan said in a hesitant tone.

Adrianna took a deep breath as she prepared to tell Jonathan about what happened to his sister. Cedric could see as Adrianna struggled to break the news to the young man.

He placed his hand on Adrianna's shoulders and she looked at him with eyes that looked like they were about to break into tears.

"I'll tell him." Cedric said with a nod as he chose to take the burden from Adrianna.

Cedric turned and thought of how he was going to break the news to Jonathan. He knew that Julia might not have told her brother where she was going and why.

"Jonathan, do you know where Julia went?" Cedric asked the young man.

"She said she was going to Europe for vacation. She's been gone a while and she hasn't contacted us, but that's just how Julia is. She likes being free and independent. But at the end of the day she always comes home." Jonathan told Cedric.

Cedric simply nodded as he thought of how to break the news to Jonathan. He decided to simply be direct and tell the boy the truth.

"Jonathan, your sister went to Europe to find her husband, the father of her child, did you know that?" Cedric asked.

By Jonathan's expression, Cedric could tell that he had no idea.

The boy shook his head and stared at the distance.

"She should have just asked us for his number." Jonathan said with a frown.

"Why didn't she know his number?" Cedric asked Jonathan.

"She threw it away when he visited and handed me the card. I took it and kept it with me." Jonathan told Cedric. "Is he keeping her? Is that why she hasn't called home?" Jonathan asked in a frantic tone.

"She is being held by someone, but not her husband." Cedric said as he shook his head.

"Then who? Why? I don't think Julia offended anyone. She's nice, and loving, and why would anyone want to harm my sister?" Jonathan asked as he looked at Cedric with pleading eyes.

"Jonathan, she was taken by the Esteves Group because they are looking for her husband." Cedric informed Jonathan.

"Then we need to call him now! He needs to get my sister out of there." Jonathan said as he began to tear up. Cedric could see how much the young man loved his older sister, he was clearly worried about her.

"Jonathan, calm down, think rationally." Arianna said as she looked the young man in the eyes. "If we alert her husband, he will go deeper into hiding. Do you think he would risk getting caught for your sister?" Adrianna asked.

"He said he loved her, that he would do anything to get her back." Jonathan said as he sobbed. "Why did they have to take Julia?" Jonathan asked to no one in particular.

"We need that contact number so that we can find him and make a deal, right now it isn't looking good for us." Cedric said with a frown.

"Jonathan, do you have his number?" Adrianna asked.

"I do." Jonathan said with a nod as he fished his wallet from his back pocket and handed Adrianna a yellowing card.

"Do you think this number will still work?" Adrianna asked Jonathan as she handed the card to Cedric.

"It should, he said he would wait. He said even if it took her decades to forgive him he would wait for her call." Jonathan said as he burst into tears once more.

"We'll give it a try. We just need a phone he can't trace and we'll give him a call. Don't worry, we'll get your sister back." Cedric said with a nod.

"Ced, what happened to my parents?" Jonathan asked as he realized that Adrianna had asked him about where he and his parents were when she called.

"Right now, we aren't sure." Cedric said with a frown as he glanced at his phone. "I'm hoping that someone will give us a call soon and they will be let go."

Just as Cedric spoke, Leon entered the room with a confused look on his face.

"Cedric, something odd just happened." Leon reported as he glanced at Jonathan.

"Does it have something to do with the Tius?" Cedric asked.

"Yes." Leon said with a nod as he acted awkwardly, clearly he didn't want to speak with a stranger in the room, even if Jonathan was the son of the people being held hostage.

"It's alright, you can tell me in front of Jonathan." Cedric said with a nod as he gave Leon permission.

"The people surrounding the mansion are gone. They just suddenly picked up and left." Leon said.

"That's odd." Cedric told Leon. "Who would do that and why?" Cedric asked.

"Maybe they already got what they needed?" Miguel asked.

"How are my parents?" Jonathan asked with a worried look on his face.

"Safe and sound. They were in distress but when they learned that the men had left they calmed down." Leon said as a wave or relief crossed Jonathan's face.

Just as Cedric and the others were speaking, Cedric's phone began to ring and an unknown number flashed on the screen.

"Hello?" Cedric asked as he picked.

"Hola Mr. Reyes. I was told you were looking to speak to me.." A deep and mysterious voice said at the other end of the line.
