As soon as Cedric heard the news about Mien's mother, he had his driver rush them back to R Tower.

Mae had told Ian that she had some of the details, but it would take a while to explain. Cedric wanted Mien to be around, so he had sent Mae to fetch the man along with his adoptive mother.

It seemed that Mae hadn't told Mien that she found his mother and was quite afraid of telling him.

"What is Mae afraid of?" Cedric asked Ian as R Tower finally came into sight.

"I honestly don't know. That girl's mind is quite difficult to read." Ian told him. "What do you plan on asking Mien's mother?"

"I want to know if Fernando had sent her any letters that could tell us where the real Andrew Chan is." Cedric said as they pulled up to R Tower's parking.

"Wow, the press is still waiting." Ian pointed out as they returned to the same scene as earlier with members of the media lining the street.

Luckily they had no idea that Ceric was in the car that had just passed them and they were quite relaxed.

"Tell John to take my car back to Mountain View." Cedric instructed as they descended to the basement parking. "If the media think I went straight home, they won't cause an inconvenience to our employees."

As they had passed, Cedric had watched as members of the media had harassed some employees, asking if the CEO was in.

Of course most of the ordinary employees would have no idea about Cedric's whereabouts. All they wanted to do was to get back to their desks and continue their work.

"Also give the employees additional pay for the day. I feel like this media sensation has caused too much of a hassle for everyone." Cedric instructed, to which Ian simply nodded.

As soon as the car came to a halt in front of the elevators, Cedric, Ian, and Leon hopped out and got into the CEO's  elevator.

When they arrived at Cedric's office, Dave was already waiting for them, and he seemed anxious about something.

"Are you trying to steal the limelight from your girlfriend?" Cedric teased as he made himself comfortable on his seat behind his desk.

"I'd rather not, but you told me to report to you if we found something out about Brian Schnider and his relation to the Rajas." Dave said as he took a step closer to Cedric's desk.

"And you did?" Cedric asked as he leaned forward.

"I did." Dave said with a nod.

"Alright then, out with it, and quickly before Mae and Mien arrive." Cedric said as he leaned back and crossed his arms on his chest.

"Such an eventful day." Ian said with a chuckle as he placed Cedric's coffee in front of him and took his own on the couch behind Dave.

"Brian Schnider is related to one of the most prominent families among the Rajas, the Lees." Dave announced. "The male line of the Lee family has long died out, they were one of the first to be massacred by the government they created."

"Let me guess, the descendants of this family want revenge." Cedric said as he rolled his eyes. He knew what motivated people, he knew that one of the best was revenge. Even his assistant, Ian, was driven by this.

"That and based on my sources they want to take back their position in society." Dave explained. "Very archaic if you ask me."

"Are they a threat?" Ian asked Dave.

Dave glanced at Ian and nodded his head.

"Based on what I managed to find out, they have been growing financially and have some interesting allies." Dave told Cedric and Ian. "I think they might be leading this faction that wants to bring the Rajas back into power."

"Do they know that we had a hand in Brian's death?" Cedric asked.

"Not yet." Dave said as he shook his head. "They still think Brian died months ago because of his debt to the mafia."

"Are the Deans in any danger?" Cedric asked.

"I doubt it." Ian said, answering for Dave. "The Deans are one of the most powerful mafia families in the underworld, aside from that fact, Ray favors them a lot so no one would dare attack them haphazardly."

Cedric nodded, acknowledging what Ian had just said.

"Keep an eye on the families we know belong to the Rajas. I want a status update if they do anything out of the ordinary." Cedric ordered Dave.

"I'll get on it." Dave said with a nod as he left.

As soon as Dave opened the door, Mae, Mien, and Mien's adoptive mother stood outside as Mae reached for the door handle, causing a very embarrassing situation.

She screamed and jumped as soon as she realized that she had grazed something that was not the door knob.

"Don't be so dramatic." Ian told Mae as he rolled his eyes. "He's your boyfriend, the two of you practically live together, don't tell me you've never touched that."

"Ian!" Mae shouted, making all the men, aside from Dave, laugh at her reaction.

"Come in." Cedric said with a nod as he waved them over.

Dave whispered something to Mae before finally letting her and Mien through.

Cedric could tell that it was something extremely private as Mae walked in with a blush on her face.

"Mae, let's get to work." Cedric said with a stern tone, making Mae wide eyed with panic, thinking Cedric was going to scold her.

Ian once more laughed at Mae's expense because of her reaction.

"Relax Mae, Cedric is only teasing you." Ian pointed out, making Mae frown.

"Don't you have news to tell us and Mien?" Cedric asked as he watched Mien sit down next to Ian.

"Yes, I do." Mae said with a nod as she took her seat across Mien.

"Mien." She said as she looked the man in the eyes. "We found your mom."

Mien was shocked as he looked at Mae with disbelief, he never thought he would be hearing those words so soon.
