Paolo Juan, Matteo David, Tricia Sanchez, Krista Von, and Erik Garcia, were all lined up when the three luxury cars and their escorting security detail arrived at the police station. The convoy of cars also managed to attract the attention of the police officers in the vicinity.
Everyone's eyes quickly turned to the commotion at the front of the police station. Paolo and his group moved closer to greet Cedric, however they still maintained their distance in fear of offending the new CEO of the Reyes Group. They acknowledged that despite being friends with his sister, their life in the business world depended heavily on his favor. They wouldn't have gotten that far without him pulling strings in the background.
"You know that if you step out with the injury Damien will figure it out?" Ian asked as he stopped Cedric from opening the door. Damien had seen Cedric's injuries after he was shot, he watched as the medics patched Cedric up and he knew that Ray had brought Cedric over to Saints Hospital for a more thorough check up.
"I know." Cedric said with a nod. He wasn't worried about Damien, he felt like the Captain was a good man, someone who was an asset to have on their side. "Damien is an ally to us. It's about time he found out. As long as the public remains blissfully unaware of who I really am then it's alright."
Ian simply nodded as he stepped out of the car to open the door for Cedric. Jo helped him off of the car and onto the wheel chair. The bystanders were surprised to see the CEO of the Reyes Group injured and unable to walk on his own. Many began to wonder if his injury had any relation to the bar fight the night before, but most of them brushed away their suspicions since someone like the CEO of the Reyes Group would not go to a bar or get into a fight, he would also have bodyguards and his car was not seen at the vicinity at the time.
Tricia and the other siblings quickly ran up to Cedric, they didn't know that the man Carlo Juan had shot was actually the CEO of the Reyes group. Everyone had been so tight lipped about the incident that no one had any idea as to the Hype Bar Hero's identity. Even Hype Bar itself refused to cooperate with the media, they didn't release any of the CCTV footage and they didn't say anything about the incident, they did however cooperate closely with the police when it came to the investigation, making people think that the police had told them to stay quiet.
"Sir, did my brother do this to you?" Paolo Juan asked as soon as he was within earshot. He was frantically checking out the CEO of the Reyes Group if the injuries that his brother had caused were anything major.
"Yes. Don't worry, it's just a minor injury." Cedric said in a happier and calmer tone. He knew that these people were quite nervous whenever he was involved so he did his best to keep them calm and at ease around him.
As Cedric and the rest of the group began to move towards the police station another luxury car, with its own security convoy arrived outside the police station. Cedric immediately recognized that car, it was after all one of theirs.
Ayanna stepped out and walked quickly to her brother.
"Sister-in-law called." Ayanna said with a shrug as she waved excitedly at her friends.
"Let's go in. The media is starting to arrive." Katerina said in a low tone as she urged everyone to enter the police station. She had already spotted several photographers snapping photos as they arrived.
"Ian." Capt. Damien happily greeted as he saw his friend arrive.
"Damien." Ian said with a nod. "My boss wants to speak to the criminals you picked up at Hype Bar last night." Ian said as he pointed at Cedric.
When Damien saw the man in the wheelchair he was suddenly confused and suspicious. He threw a questioning look at Ian. Ian in turn looked at Cedric, as if he was asking for permission from Cedric to reveal the truth to Damien.
Cedric simply nodded in response to Ian who turned to Damien.
"He and my boss are the same person." Ian confirmed.
Damien was clearly shocked, his face showed clearly how surprised he was at the revelation.
"I hope I never said anything embarrassing in front of you." Damien said as he scratched his head. He was very much confused on how an assistant had become the big boss himself. Cedric was sure Damien was wondering how he had managed to keep his identity a secret for so long, it was a common question people asked when they found out who he truly was. "Let's go," Damien said with a nod as he led the group into one of the larger interrogation rooms.
"How have they been?" Ayanna asked Capt. Damien.
"Well, you'll get to see for yourself Mrs. Laurence, but it seems that someone dangerous is looking out for your brother." Capt. Damien said as he opened the door to the interrogation room.
The sight inside was somewhat expected by Cedric, it didn't shock him, but it did shock the bullie's siblings and their fathers who had joined them inside the police station.
The bullies were already seated by a table and each was being watched by a police officer. They were clearly having a hard time in prison, they had visible bruises, potentially for criminals under Ray's control. Ray always had his own way of dealing with things and he didn't need Cedric's approval to beat up criminals whom the public hated.
"The security team can take over." Ian told Damien.
Damien dismissed the police officers as Leon and his team entered the interrogation room, when the bullies saw Leon and his men clearly recognized him and the others from that night. Cedric could see the fear in their eyes.
