After his encounter with Mr. Kruz, Milo went on to his next class thinking about what he had said. The simple answer was get stronger. Milo wanted to become an unstoppable force. One that would strike fear into the monster's hearts if they heard his name. After sitting through more of his basic classes, Milo was pumped to finally move on to his practical elemental class. Not only would he be giving Mr. Kruz an answer but he would also be able to learn more uses for his frost ability.

Walking into the locker room where he would change into his uniform for combat training and practical elemental class, he was surprised to see Chris getting changed as well.

"What are you doing here?" Milo asked, thinking maybe he had gone to the wrong class.

"You didn't know? All the classes get mixed for practical training, almost like gym class," Chris replied grinning, "Why, are you worried I'll kick your ass?"

Milo was happy to have someone he knew in one of his classes, as he wasn't really known as the social butterfly. "Bring it on," he replied with a smile of his own.

After changing to the uniforms they wore for their ability evaluation, the pair made their way to the area where the practical elemental class would be meeting. When entering the room together the other students who had already arrived turned to look at them and when noticing their ranks went back to their business. After seeing this Milo gritted his teeth. Even during classes, students looked for those weaker to pick on. After everyone arrived, Milo realized that he was the only A ranked student in this section of practical classes. This made sense, as there were less higher ranked students at the school overall compared to the other ranks.

Once they entered the practical training hall, Mr. Kruz immediately approached Milo and asked him if he had thought about the question he had asked during homeroom.

"I have," replied Milo, "I'm going to become strong enough to destroy the dimensional doors. My name will be a name that when monster's hear it they'll shiver in fear and people will know that they have nothing to be afraid of."

"Good answer," after talking to Milo, Mr. Kruz was excited to see just how far this kid would go.

"For today's practical training, I want to see what you all have got. At the end the one who wins will get a little reward so don't hold back," he said with a smile, "I will be officiating these mock battles and what I say goes, don't fight my decisions because my decisions are final."

After a couple of matches between the lower ranked students Milo was finally set to face off against a rank C student, since this was a mock battle he would be taking it serious and wouldn't be holding back. After checking his ability, Milo was able to determine that the student he would be going against had the power of wind. Depending on the other student's strategy this could be a tricky battle.

The minute the start of the battle was called the C rank student dashed in, he was faster than a normal person due to the wind boosting him forward, but because of the low ability level it wasn't anything that Milo couldn't handle. Due to his agility stat being raised Milo was able to see all the attacks coming at him clearly and avoided each strike. While the student was attacking, Milo activated his frost ability, dropping the surrounding temperature. As the student was about to go in for another attack, Milo reached out his hand to grab the student and at that moment, Mr. Kruz yelled "match over! Milo Fenix wins"

The student shouted out in anger, "what do you mean he wins, I was about to hit him!"

Mr. Kruz didn't bat an eye and said, "If he had grabbed your arm just then you could've had irreversible damage. What you may not know is that Milo has the ability of frost and at that moment was about to catch your arm with his hand where he was focusing all his frost aura. You would've had an icicle for an arm in a second."

The student was still annoyed but the sounds of admiration coming from the other students started to echo around the room.

"He was going to grab his arm? I couldn't even keep up with the other student's movements."

"Wow, the frost ability, man he's lucky."

"I hope I don't get matched against him."

All the compliments being thrown Milo's way made him scratch the back of his head in embarrassment as he walked back to where the other students were waiting for their matches. Chris came up to him and congratulated him on a good match but to not get comfortable cause he would beat him.

Chris's match was next and Milo was excited to see if he could back up all the trash talking he had been doing since meeting him yesterday.
