Milo sent Avery a message, asking if she had made any headway with learning how to create the chain whip sword they had talked about. She said that she had made a lot of progress and had successfully created some prototypes using cheap materials she had laying around at home. Most of these prototypes were just bladed chains, she had yet to attempt to make a complete chain whip sword but by being able to create the linking blades, the weapon was essentially created, all that was missing was the end of the blade and the hilt.

Milo had come to find out that Avery came from a family of blacksmiths, while magical equipment had only emerged when the dimensional doors began to appear, her family had been using traditional forging for generations. Because of this, she began learning how to work a forge at a young age, and her family even had a machine shop where she would go to practice her craft.

Milo informed her that he had two unique cores he had gotten from his internship and said that he had also received a decent amount of credits that he wanted to put towards commissioning a chain whip sword from her. Avery said to give her some time to crunch some numbers and that as soon as she could determine a cost, she'd let Milo know how much he'd need to pay, but that it probably wouldn't be until the next day, as she would need to check the market for metal prices.

Satisfied so far Milo closed his messages and went to bed, he planned to go to the guild the next day to see just how much his increased Magic Power stat affected the strength of his abilities.

Once the next morning arrived, Milo headed to the guild building and made his way into one of the training rooms on the upper floors. He activated his Ice ability to test for any changes in output, once it activated, Milo could sense that the strength of the freezing aura emitted seemed even colder than usual. It almost seemed that as he raised the level of the ability, his sensitivity to the amount of power he could use with the ability seemed to become more and more acute as well.

pαпᵈα-noνɐ1·сoМ Through some testing he found that he could now accurately pinpoint how much power he used at one time, when using a low percentage of power, Milo could focus it just on the area around his hands, this made it good when he needed to freeze something he was touching or when he needed to make a quick weapon of ice. At max power, Milo could cause enough cold energy to freeze the entire room over. While he was training he found that he had accidentally frozen the door solid when testing his maximum output, causing him to have to wait for it to thaw before he could leave.

While Milo was in the training room, Jorge noticed that the training room was in use and returned to his office, opening the security feed coming from the room. He commonly checked these cameras as it allowed him to monitor the growth of the guild's gatecrashers. Jorge could see Milo testing his abilities in the center of the room, at first he seemed to be holding back, creating small daggers of ice in his hand. All of a sudden, frost rapidly spread from where Milo's feet were contacting the floor, it was faster than any Frost user that Jorge had seen. Since Milo had combined the Frost ability with the Water ability, it had resulted in the Ice ability manifesting, the Fusion skill as its description said caused two abilities to combine to become one strong version that was a combo of the two. Because of this the Ice ability was extremely powerful in comparison to the basic Frost ability, almost double the strength of the two, and was unknown to the world, Milo was the only person who had the Ice ability, as normally people would just use the Frost ability at an extremely high level to do the same things Milo did.

Eventually the ice snaking out from Milo's feet froze the camera over causing the screen on Jorge's end to show static. Unlike the camera, the rest of the room was reinforced with magic technology which helped keep the lights and other things in the room safe from damage but not the security camera hanging from the corner of the room. Seeing the camera get destroyed, Jorge's eyes shook. He had never seen a student this strong before, if he had better training in maintaining his stamina Milo would be unstoppable, he may even rank at the X rank for gatecrashers which was extremely uncommon. Jorge made a vow to himself at that moment that he would try to convince Milo to join the guild after graduation no matter what it would cost him. Milo's growth rate was something Jorge hadn't seen before in a student and he showed no sign of slowing down. At this rate, Milo could be a gatecrasher that launches the Incubus guild to be one of the next big names in the world. please visit pαпᵈα-:)ɴᴏᴠᴇ1.co)m

After testing with his Ice ability, Milo tested his other abilities, after leveling up Reinforce, it allowed Milo to use more power and he could focus the ability into specific parts of his body even better than before. With his Hunter's Eye ability, he had to use the training room's hologram function in order to test it. When activating the ability, he could begin to see lines that showed where a target was aiming their attack, this would allow him to avoid attacks with much more accuracy. He was unable to test the beast whisperer ability, but his guess would be that it had an increase in range, and also would maybe allow him to read a beast's mind to a greater extent.

After finishing up in the training room, Milo went to the locker rooms and took a shower to wash off the sweat and stink from working out and training. After finishing up he checked his holo and found that he had received a message from Avery telling him to give her a call once he had a chance. Because of this, he returned back to his apartment and gave Avery a call right away, it rang a few times before she picked up the video call and her soot-covered face could be seen on the screen.

She was the first to speak, informing Milo that she had finished crunching numbers and had a few options for him to choose from. The first was to use a regular metal and a single core to make the weapon; this would result in the weakest result but would allow her to finish faster. The second option was to use two cores, one would be used to create a magic alloy and the other to be implemented into the weapon which would be the strongest of the two options. The first option would be much cheaper, costing around as much as it did to create his first commission from her, and the second would be around double the cost. Depending on the alloy that it was made from it could be even more, as creating a magic alloy took extreme concentration as to avoid any adverse reactions between the core and metal being mixed and some alloys used precious metals. Milo immediately chose the second option, he wanted something he could use for a while, that would also be powerful.

The next thing she asked Milo about was what type of beast the core came from, when he told her it was a unique ranked core from an undead monster, Avery determined that Orichalum would be the best alloy to use. Silver fused better with undead attribute cores better than steel or platinum, and silver was the metal used in the Orichalum alloy. Each alloy was more efficiently infused with magic power if it was mixed with a compatible attribute essence core. Mythril was best when steel was combined with elemental abilities, steel in general had this type of compatibility. Orichalum was best when silver was combined with more evil abilities, such as the undead, darkness, or poison. Zeurichium was overall compatible with almost every attribute, however due to it not specializing in an attribute the attribute used wouldn't be as powerful as when it were used to make Mythril or Orichalum, depending on the attribute.

Based on the alloy she would be using, Avery determined that she would need approximately 6,500 credits to complete Milo's weapon. Milo then told her that he would head down to the closest transport station and send her all the essence cores, after transferring 7,000 credits to her account. He added an additional 500 in case she needed any extra materials, as well as for her to keep any extra credits as she still insisted on working for free, which Milo didn't think was fair.

Transport stations were like post offices, only they used teleportation technology to send packages and letters, similar to what they used at the academy. The packages could then be picked up by going to the transport station of whatever city it was sent to. After sending off the cores, he got a message from Avery saying that she received all the stuff she needed, and would get started the next day. Synthesizing the Orichalum for the weapon would take at least 2 days and then the actual forging could take anywhere from a week to two weeks depending on how hard Avery worked. Now Milo had a timeline and couldn't wait to see what Avery came up with this time.
