-n0ve1、com As I waited for the delivery of the weapons, my mind raced with thoughts and concerns about the impending battle. I couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that I should have sent a larger army to assess the enemy's strength and determine their tactics. I knew that my army had the capability to pack a powerful punch and possibly catch the enemy off guard, but the thought of facing such a large and formidable army for the first time filled me with unease.
Just as I was lost in thought, I heard a knock at my door. I answered to find the minion manager standing before me, informing me that the weapons had arrived. Excited, I made my way outside, where I found several carts overflowing with weapons. The sight of so many weapons made in such a short amount of time brought a smile to my face. However, I was surprised to find several people standing alongside the carts, as I had expected only the brute force minions to collect the weapons.
One of the men stepped forward, his bearing proud and confident. "My lord," he said, "these are the weapons we have been able to produce so far. They were made possible thanks to your builder minions, who worked tirelessly to create crossbows, swords, mallets, ballistae, and catapults. Every weapon you could possibly need is available here. Our weapon makers have the capability to create weapons that can even spit fire, but they were not necessary for this battle. We have magic minions at our disposal, who have the power to decimate any army within seconds." The man's words filled me with newfound confidence, and I felt a sense of relief that we had such powerful weapons and minions on our side.
I emerged from behind the carts and was immediately struck by the sheer volume of weaponry that was laid out before me. Crossbows and swords were stacked in bulk, each one larger than the average man and specifically designed for the brute force soldiers. The mallets that I saw were heavy and imposing, and I knew that only the brute force minions would be able to lift them with ease.
I approached one of the weapons suppliers and asked about the number of crossbows that they had brought. They told me that they had brought 500 crossbows in total. These crossbows were highly sought after, as they were incredibly easy to use. The soldiers simply had to load the arrow, pull a lever to reload the weapon, and then fire. These crossbows had a storage capacity of 20 arrows, and the smaller size of the arrows allowed for greater agility in the hands of the archers, while still utilizing fewer resources in the creation of the weapons.
I walked over to one of the carts and picked up a crossbow, admiring its construction. The weapon was made from strong wood and had been hardened to withstand the rigors of battle. The string was made from an elastic material that looked as strong as metal, and I was intrigued by its design. After sending off the small battle group, I was left with only 700 archers, all positioned and ready on the battlefield.
I held the crossbow in my hand, pulling the lever and aiming at the door of my house. With a sharp pull of the trigger, the arrow was launched and embedded itself in the door with a satisfying thud. This weapon was incredibly powerful, and the string increased its force even with a small pull. I was initially concerned that the arrow might not be able to penetrate the tough skin of the enemy, but I was quickly proven wrong.
Next, I inspected the ballistae. There were two different types, and I approached the men who had brought them to learn more. They informed me that one type of ballista could be mounted on the walls of the castle and was capable of delivering a massive punch. The aiming mechanism of these ballistae was incredibly accurate, making it ideal for taking down enemy siege equipment. The ballistae were even capable of bringing down a siege tower, and if desired, the arrows could be set alight to cause even greater damage.
The other type of ballista was mounted on wheels, making it ideal for use during sieges. These ballistae had a higher aim, allowing them to be used to mark enemy positions on the walls. I asked the men if these wheeled ballistae could be used from our castle walls, to which they replied with a resounding "Yes."
As I looked over the weapons and the skilled men who had brought them, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and admiration. These were the tools that would ensure the success of our mission, and I was grateful for their existence. With a clear mind and a heart filled with determination, I turned to face the battlefield, ready for what was to come.
"Yes, my lord," the weapon maker spoke, bowing respectfully. "These machines can be used as mountable ballistae, but their primary purpose is for siege warfare. In this war, they will prove to be invaluable assets in the defense of your city." He paused, his eyes flickering over the intricate mechanisms of the ballistae before continuing. "They are masterfully constructed and have been designed to withstand the harshest of battles. Your city will be protected at any cost." The man fell silent, leaving me to inspect the ballistae in more detail.
As I took in the sight of the machines, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The metal was polished to a gleam, and the wooden frames looked sturdy enough to endure the greatest of assaults. I moved my gaze to the catapult, a formidable machine capable of launching heavy weights towards the enemy with deadly accuracy. Up until this point, we had been using rocks and dead cattle, but it became evident that this wouldn't be enough to defeat our foes.
My mind raced, searching for an answer, when I spotted a group of carts filled with large bags. I summoned the weapon maker, eager to find out what these mysterious bags contained.
"What are those, you didn't tell me about them," I queried, my eyes fixed on the carts.
"Sire, these are bags filled with metal spears, each one with a sharp spike, designed to penetrate armor and flesh," the man explained, his eyes alight with pride. "They will be loaded into each catapult and hurled towards the enemy. The bags have been crafted to break apart mid-flight, unleashing the metal spears and wreaking havoc upon the enemy soldiers."
His words brought a smile to my face, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. I had been worried, but it seemed that there was nothing to fear. I asked the man what the next step was, and he informed me that the next delivery would arrive the following day, bringing with it the same amount of weapons. Although, I realized that I didn't have enough soldiers to operate all of these weapons, particularly the crossbows and the larger machinery. Nevertheless, I was confident that, with time and training, my army would be able to master these powerful tools and secure our city's future.
