Norman was so happy after watching his team make such a wonderful comeback and get the win that he went around shaking and hugging all the players in the locker.

"Nice performance, Dave." He said before hugging the goalkeeper.

"Thanks, coach," Dave said.

"Mateo," Norman said, turning his gaze to the winger with a bright smile on his face.

While Norman and also two other men from the coaching department were congratulating the players on their fine performance, Emma entered the room but she wasn't alone as Matthew happened to be standing right beside her.

Dave had spotted both of them as soon as they entered the room because he was sitting on his seat and happened to be facing that area at that time.

"Hey," Emma said, gesturing for him to come closer.

There was no hesitation as Dave quickly got up from his seat and walked toward.

"Hey, what's up?" He said as soon as he stopped in front of her. "I hope I'm not the one you want to interview today."

"No." She replied before turning her gaze to Matthew. "This is my colleague Matthew, the one I told you about."

"Oh, yeah," Dave said slowly, turning his gaze to him.

"She didn't mention but we're also friends," Matthew said before offering his hand for a handshake.

"Really?" Dave said before accepting the handshake.

"Ummm….can I talk to you for a few seconds?" She asked raising her watch to her view to check the time.

"Is there anything wrong?"

"No." She said shaking her head. "I just want to talk."

"Okay, what about your interview?"

"Don't worry, Matthew will take care of it."

"Yeah, I will," Matthew said with a nod.

"Okay." The goalkeeper said before she grabbed him by his arm.

"Hey, sis," Mateo said with a little wave before the two could leave the room.

Emma didn't say anything and just returned the wave before pulling Dave out of the room along with her.

Nothing was said between the two for the first sixty seconds as they slowly walked down the hallway which was filled with staff and a few Frono FC players and reporters too.

"So what is it that you wanted to talk about?" Dave asked to break the silence. "And what's with that look on your face?"

"What look?" She asked, before stopping and turning her gaze to him.

"That look right there, it's that look of disappointment and sadness." He said. "What's wrong?"

She didn't speak for a while before letting out a deep sigh.

"I've seen my period." She said.

'Wow, that's great!' The goalkeeper wanted to say but the fact that she didn't seem happy about it had stopped him from saying it.

"You wanted to be pregnant?" He muttered.

<It's obvious>

"Of course." She said. "And do I need to explain why?"

<You two have not been on the same page for the past twenty-four hours>

"Hey, come here." He said before pulling her closer for a hug. "I think this wasn't the best time and it wasn't meant to be, not yet."

"Maybe." She muttered.

"Dave."

The goalkeeper pulled out from the hug and turned to see Frono FC's goalkeeper, Emerson Malkary.

"What a coincidence to run into you here with your….."

"Wife," Emma said.

"I didn't know you were married," Emerson said.

"Not yet."

"Soon," Emma said.

"Okay, but I thought we weren't supposed to have anyone of her gender in this area."

"She's a reporter," Dave said.

"Oh, I see," Emerson said. "I'm guessing you already know my name."

"Yeah, it's Emma, Emma Smith," Emma said, aware that he was asking for her name.

"Okay, nice to meet you, Emma," Emerson said.

"The pleasure is all mine."

"Are you in any way related to Mateo Smith?" He asked.

"Yeah, he's my little brother." She said.

"Oh," Emerson said with a nod. "I couldn't see it before but you have some of his features."

"I know." She said.

"Ummm…." The goalkeeper said, before dipping his hand into his pocket to bring out his phone. "Do you mind taking a picture of me with him?"

"Sure." She said before taking the phone from him.

"Hope you don't mind?" He said after moving closer to Dave.

"Not at all," Dave said, shaking his head.

After arriving back at Unique City, Dave drove his way home and made his way straight to the door after coming down from his car.

He raised his watch to his gaze to see that the time was 11:50 PM.

'We wasted a lot of time there.' He said subconsciously before pushing the door open.

He opened the door to see that the lights in the living room were still dimmed.

"Is she not back yet?" He muttered before turning the lights on.

The living room was empty but just as he took a step forward, he heard a sound come from the kitchen.

He slowly walked to the area and let out a sigh of relief after he saw that Emma was the one who had slammed the freezer shut to create the sound that he heard.

She was putting on her red robe and had a glass of juice in her hand by the time he saw her.

"Welcome." She said, before taking a sip from her glass of juice.

"When did you get back?" He asked.

"About forty minutes ago." She said before quickly finishing the content in her glass and dropping it in the sink.

"Let me help you with that." She said after walking closer to him and taking his bag off his shoulder. "I'll be upstairs."

"Okay," Dave said before turning to watch her make her way upstairs. "I'll be there soon."

The goalkeeper let out a sigh before making his way to the fridge to grab a bottle of water and after grabbing the bottle of water, he made his way to the couch and sat down there.

'Can I see my post-match rewards now?' He requested before taking down some of the contents of the water.

<Sure>

[ Victory Rewards ]

[ Three crucial saves: +30 exp ]

[ Goals conceded (02): 0exp ]

[ Match rating: 7.5 ]

'I only got thirty exps from all the opportunities I was given in that match.'

<You said you were okay as long as you guys win>

'I know, but it still pains me a little bit that I couldn't complete those quests, especially the one about stopping Darwin from scoring.'

<Those goals were lucky goals, he didn't really beat you to score any goals in the match, he was just lucky>

'I guess so, but that won't stop him from bragging about it whenever he's asked about it.'

<What's there to brag about? They lost the match>

While he was talking with Catherine, his phone began to vibrate in his pocket and after quickly pulling it out from his pocket, he discovered that the caller was Ferran.

"Hey, Ferran." He said after picking up the call and placing the phone against his ear.

After saying that, the goalkeeper was quiet as he listened to what the midfielder had to say.

"Okay, that's a nice idea, we'll be there." He said before ending the call.
