Mary quickly woke Kevin up before grabbing the silver platters beside him.
Kevin groggily stretched his body before turning towards Mary, but Amy's words dragged his attention towards her.
"I'm sorry tutor, but it seems I won't be able to complete the questions today, " She said apologetically, but both of them knew that it was all an act.
Kevin nodded in understanding before slowly rising to his feet.
"It's okay Amy. I'll see you tomorrow, but I expect you to complete them before I arrive."
Amy flashed him an innocent smile before saying. "I will, I promise."
Kevin nodded at her response before turning towards Mary who couldn't stop the smile on her lips as she happily replied. "Please follow me."
She walked to the door and led Kevin to the mansion's entrance.
Kevin smiled as he trailed behind her, and just before he got to the door, Mary curtsied with a smile on her face. "Thank you so much."
Understanding why she was saying this, Kevin smiled and replied. "You're welcome."
Then he opened the door before walking towards his car.
'It seems Amy's plan worked out well,' Kevin thought, recalling what Amy had asked him to do right after they noticed that Mary was just a few steps away from knocking on her room door.
Both of them decided to play the role of a passionate, dedicated teacher and student in front of Mary because Mary's role in the house asides from being a maid was also to be Brian Stark's informant.
Due to unknown reasons, it had been months since Brian Stark stepped foot into the mansion, so he made a few calls to ask how Amy was doing daily.
Amy's attitude towards her tutors was always included whenever Mary gave Brian Stark a briefing on how Amy's day had been.
And this is why Amy wanted to continue with the obedient girl act who was finally taking her studies seriously after thinking deeply about what her Dad told her.
Kevin smiled at how cunning Amy could be to ensure that everything ended up the way she wanted.
He slowly opened his car door before driving off from the Stark mansion.
While driving, Kevin's phone rang out and he glanced at the screen to see who it was, but it was an unknown number. Although, Kevin could still guess who it was.
He put the phone on speaker and the voice from the other side instantly spoke.
"Boss, it's me, Wolfgang."
"Ohh, Wolfgang." He acted as though he didn't know.
ραΠdαsΝοvel.cοm Just before Wolfgang left to accomplish the task Kevin ordered him to carry out, Kevin gave Wolfgang his phone number so he could call him once he had completed his task.
"So, tell me. Will the meeting take place?"
"Yes, boss. It will." Wolfgang replied before adding.
"The meeting will be held by eight tonight. I'll send you the coordinates shortly, but we could meet at a rendezvous point."
"Okay," Kevin simply said before ending the call and scrolling through his call logs to call Sasha.
Kevin knew that if he didn't call her, she would stay up all night waiting for his call or expecting him to come to her place as promised.
Sasha was that kind of girl, and he needed to inform her of a few things before Sasha started having some weird ideas about him.
He found her number and immediately dialed it. The phone rang for a while before she picked up the call.
Sasha hurriedly ran to pick up the phone with an excited look on her face.
She knew that it was Kevin calling her because she barely had anyone who would call her aside from Vanessa. And there was no way Vanessa would be calling her now.
She glanced at the screen and he was really the one.
She couldn't wait to tell Kevin about her day.
She knew he would love to hear about it.
She still couldn't believe how she had spent about half an hour with Brian Stark before he left for an important meeting which was to take place in another city.
Then she hurried back home to change her clothes before heading straight to the supermarket to get groceries for their dinner.
It was going to be their first time eating together in her house, she couldn't contain the excitement within her.
It felt like they were now a couple.
"Hello," Sasha said into the phone, her voice filled with excitement while her face beamed with joy. She was breathing heavily and she tried to catch her breath, but this didn't affect her excitement.
Kevin replied, "Hi Sasha, you home yet?"
"Yes," She replied as she twirled a strand of her hair around her finger.
It felt nice to have someone she liked call her at a time like this.
She couldn't wait for Kevin to get home and fulfill the promise he made to her this morning. However, she didn't expect to hear the words that came out of Kevin's lips.
"Good. I'm sorry but I won't be able to make it in time tonight to go all out like last night. You don't have to wait for me because I'll be visiting a friend of mine tonight."
Sasha's smile disappeared. She wasn't angry at him for not coming to her place. In fact, she was glad that he had informed her early because it meant she was in his thoughts just as much as he was in hers. And that alone was enough for her to decide that he was very considerate.
Still, Sasha didn't miss the underlying meaning of his words just now.
Was he not saying that she had been anticipating his return?
"Hmph," She huffed before forming a pout. "You sound like I'm going to stay up all night waiting for you to come back," She smiled, taking a seat on her sofa while crossing her legs elegantly as she waited to hear his reply.
