Usually, Luo Ning wouldn't be this frank. Hell, even if he had nine lives, he wouldn't dare to.

Maybe because he had had too much alcohol tonight, maybe because the house was too quiet or maybe, because there were only two of them inside the closed space. His inhibition weakened and his courage soared. He also knew that he was definitely going to regret it to death when he sobered up tomorrow, but he just couldn't help himself right now.

Qin Weizhe was taken aback by his abrupt question before throwing his head back and bursting out in laughter.

"Why are you laughing?" Luo Ning asked with a pout.

The other man raised both of his hands in surrender as he put his beer can on the table. "You're drunk?" He asked, amused.

"I am not."

"The drunk never admits their wrongdoing."

Luo Ning looked at his smiling visage and felt his eyes turn blurry. He knew that the situation was spiraling down in a way he couldn't control but the urge inside his heart almost gnawed at him whole, it was both itchy and uncomfortable. "You don't have to say it. I know." He fiddled with the water vapor on the can, feeling the cold water on his fingertips. "You like Senior Ru, right?"

After counting to five, Luo Ning gingerly lifted his head and his breathing abruptly ceased as his eyes crashed with Qin Weizhe's dark and turbulent one. His laidback aura vanished in an instant, replaced with a sharp and piercing one. Although the man's eyes were far from calm, his tone remained light. "What does our Little Ning want for guessing correctly?"

Luo Ning gulped and he shook his head to brush the dizziness away. Alas, the more he shook his head, the dizzier he became.

Qin Weizhe didn't know whether he should laugh or cry seeing his drunken antics. He was clearly so drunk already; wet eyes, flushed cheeks, looking all confused and disoriented. Still, he adamantly denied that he didn't. It was…unexpectedly cute.

He grabbed Luo Ning's chin to stop him from shaking himself silly. "Stop moving. Don't you feel dizzy?"

"Now that you say it…" Luo Ning squeezed his eyes and grimaced. "I do."

Qin Weizhe couldn't resist laughing. The previous scary aura disappeared and he returned to the usual him. Standing up, he cocked his head toward the kitchen. "Stop drinking beer. I will fetch you some water okay?"

Luo Ning blinked and when the man walked past his side, he accurately grabbed his wrist and demanded. "You haven't answered my question!"

The drunk Luo Ning was surprisingly strong. His grab on Qin Weizhe was very firm, rendering him immobile. He couldn't shake Luo Ning off even if he wanted to. Helpless, he crouched down and coaxed him patiently like a child. "Haven't I already answered your question just now?"

"You have…?" Just now, even when the man was still a few distance away from him, Luo Ning was already stunned silly. Now that Qin Weizhe's face was directly placed in front of him, the visual impact was too strong, the drunk Luo Ning became intoxicated even more.

"I have." Qin Weizhe patted his head, smiling. "Now let me go okay? I will bring you a glass of water."

Luo Ning ignored his words and brought the topic back. "Why do you like Senior Ru?" One second after asking, he felt like it was a very ridiculous question. "Well, she is beautiful, talented and has a great personality. Of course…Of course you will like her…"

The more Luo Ning said it, the sadder he became. He hung his head low, dejected.

"Little Ning…" Qin Weizhe's voice was three part helpless and two part warning.

Hearing that low voice, the grievance and emotions he had been suppressing deep inside him burst out in an instant. "But she is Captain Jin's lover! You can only like her one-sidedly! Why...no matter how much you like her, she won't return your feelings..."

Qin Weizhe's eyes darkened and his jaw clenched. Faint anger surfaced in his heart and he was ready to teach this ignorant brat a lesson when Luo Ning continued his sentence, fingers grasping Qin Weizhe's sweater tightly. "…So why don't you like me instead?!"

Qin Weizhe's eyes widened in shock. "...what?"

Luo Ning sniffled, large teardrops hung on his damp eyelashes. Throwing all caution out of the window, Luo Ning leaned in and kissed Qin Weizhe wetly, sloppily. His technique was nonexistent, only relying on his passion and feeling to gnaw and suck on the man's lips.

Like a moth flying straight to the source of flame, he let himself be burned to crisp.

Qin Weizhe only came to his senses when a little pain stung his lower lips, courtesy to Luo Ning biting him like a puppy. He reached out to push the drunk man away, his voice raspy, "Luo Ning…!"

Yet the drunk Luo Ning's reason had been completely thrown to outer space, unable to be retrieved anymore. He caught Qin Weizhe off guard by tackling him, arms wrapping around the man's neck.

The unprepared Qin Weizhe couldn't bear the weight of 55 kilograms and tumbled backward, his elbows propping up to support.

Luo Ning rubbed his cheek on the man's jaw, muttering with an aggrieved tone. "Don't reject me. Don't reject me, okay? You haven't even tried it yet. I can like you more, cherish you more and adore you more. Why can't you accept me?"

Qin Weizhe could feel the younger man's tears dripping onto his sweater, the coldness of it seeped into his skin. His hand, which had reached out ready to push Luo Ning away, stilled in place. In the end, instead of pushing him away, Qin Weizhe patted his head soothingly. "Luo Ning…" His mouth closed and opened for a few minutes before spatting out a sentence. "We're both men."

"So what?" Luo Ning rebuked. "I know you have no problem with that. Detective Qin…I—I have seen you dated a man before."

Qin Weizhe's eyes narrowed and he clamped his wide palm on Luo Ning's neck, exerting force. "When?" Dangerous and fierce aura emanated from him, his tone cold. "When did you see it?"

Luo Ning shrunk his neck, tears pitter pattering down his delicate face, looking both pitiful and lovely. But he still answered obediently. "In the police academy. When I was still a rookie, you used to be one of my instructors for a few months."

Qin Weizhe's grip on him loosened. He hadn't been an instructor for such a long time. The last time he recalled it was three or four years ago. How could Luo Ning still remember it? Moreover, he didn't have any recollection of the other person at all…

Luo Ning grasped his thoughts accurately. His tears came down harder. "You don't remember me, do you? You actually don't remember me uwuwu…"

Qin Weizhe was both helpless and amused. "Okay I am sorry. It's my fault, okay?"

Luo Ning's eyes brightened with hope. "So does that mean you accept me?"

"Wait," Qin Weizhe laughed exasperatedly. "What does it have to do with this?"

Luo Ning's face crumpled and he looked like he was going to cry rivers as soon as Qin Weizhe showed the slightest bit of rejection. Under the bright light, his pupils were light brown in color and when it was awashed with tears, it looked like a pair of crystal clear topaz, lustrous and moving at the same time.

When he poured all of his love, admiration, longing and respect into those eyes, Qin Weizhe found that he was unable to deal with him harshly. Pulling the man into his embrace, Qin Weizhe patted his back. "Alright don't cry anymore. How old are you this year? Three?"

Luo Ning buried his face into Qin Weizhe's neck and wrapped his arms around the man's waist, hugging him tightly as if afraid he was going to disappear anytime soon.

Qin Weizhe lifted his eyes to look at the ceiling and let the other person hang on his waist, sighing. "You don't understand. Yes, you're right, I do swing both ways." When he felt Luo Ning stir, he directly pressed his head down and continued, "But society nowadays will not be so merciful. Haven't you seen it with your own eyes from Wu Wengen and Cui Qiqiang's case? Even if we can accept it, what about your parents? Certainly, they wished for you to grant them cute and chubby grandsons."

Luo Nin kept his head buried in the man's neck, motionless. Qin Weizhe actually wondered whether he listened or not but still, he carried on and finished what he wanted to say. "So just give up on me. Our Little Ning is such a good man, he will surely find an equally good girl in the future."

"How old are you this year? Twenty one? Twenty two?" Qin Weizhe chuckled. "You're still very young, there are many more wonderful people than me." He fell silent and muttered, "...many more. You will soon realize that I am not as good as you think I am."
