"This is such a shame. I don't want to look at this place since I can't get to liaise with the agent to rent two spaces out."
Saying that with slightly creased brows, Zhang Liling turned to walk back to the car in annoyance, but her arms got pulled by Mr. Fang.
"Where are you going? You want to leave without even trying?" He questioned with surprise flashing past his eyes as the ends of his lips turned downwards.
Sensing his surprise and the little bit of disappointment latched on it, Zhang was quiet.
"Is this how you are going to run your business? Just get prepared to fail." He cautioned.
Then without giving her the chance to protest or think of the kind of reply to give to him, he pulled her towards the building at once.
Zhang Liling couldn't fight him. She had no choice but to obediently follow him inside with bitterness sprouting in her heart.
Did he have to associate her impatience with the way she was going to run her business?
She hasn't even started and he was already scolding the hell out of her.
Maybe asking for his help was a bad move. Now, he wouldn't even give her a breathing space.
'This girl doesn't even know when someone is testing her. She had to proudly fail it without even trying.' Mr. Fang said as he walked in while pulling her by the hand.
Releasing a deep breath while letting go of her arms at once, he slowly stopped on his steps.
"You are free to look around. There is an elevator available to take people to the 1st and 2nd floor if there is no energy to take the stairs." He explained.
Zhang Liling was immediately interested once again and for that moment, she wanted to forget about the headache she would have from trying to convince the building owner to let her rest the number of spaces she wanted.
At least if she liked this place a lot, she can go everything to have it.
With that new mind set, she set out to continue her tour as Fang Bingwen followed her, while explaining a few things to her.
Now at the last floor, Zhang Liling couldn't help but to react to her amazement.
"Mr. Fang, you seem to know a lot about this place. Did you visit this place before me?"
"Is that your problem now?" Mr. Fang asked, giving her a raised brow. "I'm giving you ideas of what you could use these spaces for, and you are only interested about my knowledge."
Why couldn't she listen to the important things he was talking about?
"I'm sorry..." she apologized immediately after provoking him.
Gazing at her, Mr. Fang couldn't stop himself from letting her see that his patience was running out.
They still had other places to visit if she didn't like here. There was no time to waste.
Also, he wanted to make sure that there would be no hindrances with her brand launch.
"Liling..." he started, but didn't have the heart to go on.
He didn't want to scold her, she was his girlfriend now. He at least had to let her keep her face.
Thinking that she was about to get scolded, Zhang Liling looked downwards while fiddling with her fingers.
She didn't dare to meet his gaze for fear of seeing the annoyance they beheld.
But when thirty good seconds past with only the sound of heavy breathing from the man, she wondered what was going on and finally raised her head.
As soon as she met his eyes, she saw his face coming too close hers. With the fear of the unknown still hunting her, her instinct for survival kicked in and she immediately tried to escape.
She had only taken a step back when the long arms of the man caught her waist before locking her in.
Without warning, his pair of natural light pink lips came crashing down upon hers as her eyes widened in surprise.
She was unable to give any other reaction to the sudden lip locking from him.
What did she do to deserve a kiss? That was the question she thought to herself and shortly, she got the answer.
Mr. Fang had no intentions of deepening the kiss.
He only grazed the surface of her lips with his teeth before giving it a final touch by licking them with his cool wet tongue.
Slowly, the hands circling around her waist dropped to his sides as he continued staring at her with an intense gaze.
"You talk too much," he said, letting out a deep breath.
"I know..." Zhang Liling managed to utter as she felt the absence of his warmth.
Shifting his gaze from her, he glanced at the large empty space before them and continued with his earlier suggestion.
"This is a lot of space for office work. You will need to set up an office space to Josie the important departments for your store."
Following his gaze to the space before them, Zhang Liling nodded in compliance as she could already envision the space carved out for her office.
"I appreciate your suggestions, Mr. Fang. This place is perfect. I could use the 1st floor for and a part of the ground floor for the store. The remaining space on the ground floor will be used for the warehouse."
Hearing her conclusion, Fang Bingwen suggested again. "Why don't you buy the entire building instead of renting them?"
"What!" Zhang Liling's mouth was left agape in shock.
He was asking her to buy the building? Did he think of her as some rich heiress with excess money lying in her bank account?
Without hiding her mouth, Zhang Liling replied, "Mr. Fang, I can't afford it. How about you become an investor?"
"Really?" he probed as his eyes squinted at her.
"Why not?" she retorted.
"I am already cracking my head on how to convince the building owner to let me rent the entire space, surely, you can help ease my burden that way." She said as black lines appeared on her face.
She could already feel an incoming headache already and here he was wanting to add more problems to her head.
She couldn't take it.
A smile turned up at the corner of Fang Bingwen's lips as his eyes curved into crescent moon.
Slipping his hands inside the front pockets of his pants, he tilted his head to the side as his eyes remained fixed on her face.
"The building owner is right here. Can you try to convince him now?"
