Bolin didn't know his reason for wanting to stop at the hospital to see his doctor. In this line of work, he didn't need to know everything before following instructions.
But he still couldn't help wondering if his illness was getting worse and needed a change of meds. With that thought in mind, he gave a reminder to the driver to make a left turn at the next junction.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the underground parking lot of a private hospital. Taking the private elevator from thereafter the system had scanned his face, Mr. Fang went up with Bolin to meet his private doctor.
A young man with soft facial features who seemed to be of the same age as Mr. Fang was diligently working on his laptop when his door was suddenly pushed open.
And before he could scold whoever it was that lacked manner, he caught sight of the tyrant and swallowed back his words.
"Bingwen, there is that door for a reason. It's there so you can knock before coming in." The young man reminded with a big smile on his face.
"I am here for an official reason, address me properly." Mr. Fang said with a frown.
Despite the fact they were good friends, Mr. Fang believed that any environment they found themselves in, will determine how they should address each other.
The young man, Chualin chuckled softly before going on to ask, "You didn't book an appointment today, is this a case of emergency?"
He was surprised to see him without prior notice, which was unlike him who liked to keep and make things orderly.
"Do I need to inform you about that every time? Have you forgotten who owns half of the funds for this hospital?" Mr. Fang queried with raised brows as he put his hands in his trousers' front pockets.
Chuanli replied, "That is why you have an exclusive private elevator from the underground parking lot to my office."
It was exactly because of his shares that he had an exclusive right to his hospital. He was their highest tier VIP hence he was treated differently from other VIP patients.
Mr. Fang rolled his eyes at him briefly before taking a seat on the couch and crossed his legs thereafter.
Chuanli smiled meaningfully and got off his seat. Taking a few steps toward him, he sat next to him and asked, "To what do I owe this surprising visit from the busy Mr. Fang?"
Bolin who was standing at the side nodded in greeting toward Chuanli before taking a seat on the other side.
"Today, I came in contact with someone whose scent didn't irritate me." Mr. Fang revealed with a distant gaze. He was still playing back the scene of when Zhang Liling collapsed and he got close to her and even carried her to the clinic in his head.
"What?" Chuanli exclaimed in surprise.
Bolin who was sitting on the other side equally looked surprised after the huge revelation from his boss.
'Was it that female student he carried in his arms earlier? Is this why he wanted to see his doctor?' Bolin thought in his head.
He seemed more confused now as he listened to the conversation with furrowed brows.
Mr. Fang continued, "I thought this was an illusion and must have been mistaken due to my panic but, it wasn't so. When I got close to her and carried her in my arms, I didn't remember feeling any discomforts with my nose."
By the time he finished speaking and turned to look at Chuanli, the latter had already picked up his notepad and pen and was busy jotting away.
When he stood up and left and returned, Mr. Fang and Bolin could not explain.
Chuanli saw that he had stopped speaking, so he stopped scribbling as well and looked up to glance at him.
"How sure are you that you weren't muddled because of your panic?" He asked for clarity purposes.
He needed to note the correct information to help with his research and experiments.
Mr. Fang overlooked the insult and replied, "Surely I should have still felt a little bit of discomfort despite being in that situation, I'm not an idiot."
Both doctor and patient stared at each other for 7 seconds before Chuanli gave up and scribbled the latest information down, before going on to ask further questions.
"Okay, but I need some information relating to the woman in question," Chuanli said as he got ready to scribble again.
"How old is she?"
"Which family is she from? I need to know her bloodline."
"What's her height and weight?"
"What's her blood group and blood genotype?"
"Before today, have you come in close contact with her?"
"Were you able to pick up her scent?"
"Hold on!" Mr. Fang stopped him with a tinge of annoyance in his tone. He was already starting to get angry with all the questions he threw at him which he knew nothing about.
"She is my student and I don't even know her name. Today was my first time coming in close contact with her."
Chuanli smiled meaningfully and closed his notepad. "Fine! Get to know her and call me back, or you can drop by like today when you get this information for me."
'Get to know her?' Mr. Fang thought as he got vexed with that taunting gaze from him.
Even Bolin felt that word was strange. He was asking his Boss to be familiar with his female student. Wasn't he asking for a beating?
Chuanli knew what his current thoughts were and chuckled softly. But because he was too young to die yet, he figured that he should explain himself, so he gave him a hint.
"There are so many ways to get this information for me, and it's all left for you to pick the method."
Mr. Fang calmed down and looked away from him. If the information he was asking for wasn't vital, he wouldn't even bother with him.
"How long before you get a good result?" He asked.
"As soon as I get the information I need, I will start my research and experiment," Chuanli replied.
Since there was nothing more to talk about, Chuanli went on to ask how effective his new meds were, but he just got up and left with this sentence.
"Good,"
