As soon as I saw the skills description and confirmed my own mana, I thought about activating the skill.
Another one of the many amazing features of Mayhem. As soon as I thought of activating the skill, the skill activated without pressing out any unnecessary buttons or a vocal command. The advanced technology of the VR made it possible for the VR device to get the signals that the brain transmits and work according to it.
My whole body slowly blended in with the surroundings with a light blue-ish layer surrounding it.
'This is so cool.'
The view of watching your own limbs slowly turning invisible was a sight to behold. Sadly, I didn't have much time to take in this spectacular view, as my mana was draining out like water from a broken dam.
Since the foolish girl earlier did a great job in tanking the damage from Great Queen Bee, I wanted to use this opportunity to deal a fatal blow. However, I doubted that I would deal any damage at all to a boss monster that not only had a huge level disparity from me but also had a high defense that would make most players in level 40s struggle.
'Well, even an ant can beat elephants… at least that's what they said in stories.'
[Skill: Multi Blades
Type: Active
Cost: 5 mana on every replica per second
Cooldown: 30 seconds.
All the blade-type items you carry can be copied into similar replicas. They'll replicate 50% of the weapon's original strength.
Their skills can be copied as well, but they share the same cooldown as the original item.
Multi-weapon wielding is possible during the time the skill is activated.
You will need 50 mana to maintain a single copy for 10 seconds.]
I wanted to deal as much damage as possible to the boss and that would only become a reality when I used all my skills…. Currently, that amounts to a pathetic total of two.
As soon as I thought about activating the skill, an aqua blue aura surrounded my left hand as an exact copy of the blade in my right hand was produced. It perfectly fits in my hand as I held both the knife-like blades in my hands like a butcher.
Pshhhhhhh
And that was the 5th sacrifice as the Great Bee Queen punctured another player's heart.
'I am brought to tears seeing all these comrades putting their lives on the line for a pathetic man like myself. I shall avenge you.'
My brain kept cooking up nonsense as my legs started running a bit far away from the Bee Queen. My legs felt as light as an air balloon as I could feel the dramatic increase in my movement speed.
It wasn't too fast, but still much better than before.
As the Great Queen Bee was about to puncture the heart of its 6th victim, it suddenly stopped in its tracks.
"Surprise mother-father!"
I said as the Great Bee Queen turned around and immediately tried to back off, seeing the two Knives getting aimed straight at its eyes.
Although her reaction was on time, her huge body didn't make it easy for her to give out fast reactions, meaning that both the knives dug straight into her eyes, right where I saw the two red marks that showed that the Great Bee Queen's eyes were its weakness.
It was one of the special skills generated from Eclipse.
[Camouflage has been canceled.]
[You've hit a weak spot, damage dealt is dramatically increased.]
[You got lucky, additional 150% damage is added from Camouflage skill.]
[Dual wielding is activated, and half of the damage will be replicated from the original weapon.]
[You've achieved a critical hit, damage dealt is dramatically increased.]
[The target has frozen for 0.5 seconds]
[You've dealt 262,968 damage to the Great Queen Bee.]
[You have defeated the field boss, Great Queen Bee.]
[52,231,960 experience points have been acquired.]
[You gained a level.]
[You gained a level.]
[You gained a level.]
[You gained a level.]
…
…
[You gained a level]
[You've gained the title 'The Bee Killer']
[You've gained 200 gold.]
[Great Bee Queen's Crown has been acquired.]
[10 bottles of Great Bee Queen's poison have been acquired.]
[Fame has increased by 200.]
'Woah!'
14 levels at once!
I rose 14 levels by defeating one monster…. Which died in 1 hit.
I couldn't believe my own eyes.
"This guy…. This guy defeated the boss! We are saved."
One of the onlookers who was trying to run just a moment ago couldn't help but screech like a bird when he saw that a player defeated the field boss who was causing havoc.
"Is he a high-level player….?"
Someone pointed out.
"That's not possible. Why would he be hunting drones and bees if he was a high-level player? Not to mention those were babies…"
Another player shook his head as his words trailed off at the end of his sentence. Maybe he found it absurd that a high-level player would never abuse the low-level monsters as I had.
"Then… he's the same level as us…? How did he even manage to kill off such a field boss all alone?"
Someone from the crowd refuted again. Truly, they had a lot of leisure in their hands for people who were just running for their lives a minute ago.
"Come to think of it… doesn't his knife look a bit cool? Is that a rare item?"
As soon as people's talk shifted towards Eclipse, I immediately put it back in my inventory and started striding away from the hunting ground.
Although some of them took a step toward me, trying to follow me. As soon as they remembered how I had killed the field boss, their legs seemed to have lost strength as they stood where they were.

Kibea Corporation's head office.
Recently, there has been an uproar in the Kibea Corporation's offices all around the world. The unexpected rise of a legendary class had quite an impact on not only the overall worldview of Mayhem but also the team behind it.
Terry Corbyn, the chairman of Kibea Corporation and the mind behind this masterpiece of a game, was sitting in his office that looked more like a luxury suite of a 5-star hotel.
On one side of the room, there was a high-end VR device installed, while on the other side was a line of supercomputers.
Mayhem's idea originated from Terry Corbyn, who always dreamt of making a game so wonderful and full of freedom that people would treat it as a second world.
Although the task was arduous, he succeeded in it by making the world's best supercomputers, namely the golden trio of the tech world. These computers were named Aster, Creation, and Alter, respectively.
These three supercomputers were the ones that gave life to Terry's idea, bringing about a game never before seen. And before long, that game had become way more than it was supposed to be.
Even though the game was Terry's idea and could be considered a gamemaster, he wanted it to evolve and take its own form solely formed by players and NPCs themselves, with the least bit of involvement from the developers' side. The developers just made stories and arcs that would come into being as time passed by in the game. They would actually play out in the hands of players and the NPCs, who were no different from any other sentient beings and had their own thought processes and judgemental abilities.
Since the release of the game, certain things were pre-determined, meaning that they'll come into existence sooner or later. One of them was the classes in the game.
According to the supercomputer, Creation's judgement, a legendary class should have come into being after 6-7 years of game launch. Of course, there could be anomalies and such, but 99.99% of the time, the judgement of all these three supercomputers was accurate.
There were times that the negligible 0.01% came into being, but no one from the Kibea Corporation even thought that it would bring about the rise of a Legendary class because the chances of finding a needle in a haystack can be considered higher than getting a Legendary class.
But one player managed to break off all these chances and rushed the rise of a legendary class, which should have been years later.
Terry Corbyn should have been upset about this news, or so the staff of Kibea Corporation thought. But ever since he heard about the news, he had been continuously staring at the screens that apparently were floating in mid-air.
From time to time, Terry would let out a chuckle as he watched a player in front of his screen. On a closer look, one can decipher that the clown who was making Terry chuckle once in a while was none other than Shura, the owner of the only legendary class currently in the game.
"Sir, I think we should contact the player, Shura, and tell him about our circumstances. I am sure he would co-operate if we offer some kind of compensation."
The man behind Terry was the head of the research and development department and also the man who had first found out about the legendary class.
Jacob Eves was a man of talent, not only in technology but also in management. He had been a part of the world's biggest IT outsourcing company before Terry coerced him into joining Kibea Corporations.
"Hmm, hmm. And? What would you do once you ask him for cooperation? Give him some money and take back the legendary class? Or did you forget that the whole world knows someone has gotten a legendary class? Or are you saying I should ruin my reputation by going back on my own words?"
Terry asked seriously without looking back. He had promised the world that he would not interfere in the game, and the game would be as free as one can imagine. Terry had his principles, and one of them was to never mess with the in-game events, no matter what.
"Let's just wait and watch for now. One more thing, bring me this player's data, both in-game and real world."
Terry said as he rubbed his chin while Jacob nodded upon listening to the former's words.
