I looked at them; they were familiar to me.

They were the first group I had seen when I came out of the glass pass.

There are three people in the group with half elf woman with dark red hair in the center. To her left is a burly, middle-aged human man, while to her right is a grey wolf beastman.

All three of them are Peak Sky Sovereigns with an above-average strength.

"Quite a harvesting you are doing here," said the half-elf woman, looking at my shining strings.

"Thank you," I replied causally.

I didn't show any hint of fear or anything, which made a beastman frown a little.

"Mind sharing with us some?" she asked, and I arched my brow.

"You seemed quite good at it and since we have places to be, we would like to have some and leave," she added.

I smiled upon hearing that.

"Sure," I replied, and a storage ring appeared in front of me.

Seeing that, a surprise flashed in their eyes. They didn't think I would agree so easily.

However, they didn't move, to take it, instead turned to me.

"How many does it have?" asked the burly man. "We want at least a thousand each, no make it two thousand each," added the beastman.

"There are over seven thousand in there," I replied.

Their eyes lit up, and the elf moved to take the storage ring floating in front of me when it suddenly shot up.

It was really fast, surprising them, but they were quickly behind it.

The ring stopped a few seconds later, and to their surprise, they found me standing behind.

They look down and see there is nothing down. Seeing that, their eye turned serious, and I smiled.

"Why aren't you taking it?" I asked them.

"Be careful," said the half-elf and moved toward the ring again. She had reached it and was about it take it in her hand, when the ring moved.

It didn't go up, just left a few inches. So fast, that even, she couldn't take it.

Half-elf glowered at me before the aura blasted from her body and she swiftly moved her hand toward the ring and nearly captured it, before it slipped her hand again.

She didn't try immediately and looked at the ring.

I could see her using her methods and focusing her soul sense on it.

To her sense, she is sending nothing other than the storage ring and that is all there is, and the invisible string.

A few seconds later, she acted once again and this time; she didn't move her hand.

Instead, used a method.

A powerful box of energy appeared, enveloping the ring. The ring didn't move as it enveloped it and didn't move, even when it started to shrink.

Soon, the box shrinks to the size of a palm, and a smile appears on the face of the half elf.

She turned to me smugly and brought the box toward her. That's when the ring moved again.

Rip!

It ripped through the energy box and went back to its original place.

"Bastard!" she cursed, turning to me.

"You shouldn't curse," I said to her. "Then why aren't you giving me those lotuses?" she asked angrily.

"I am, but you are too weak to take it," I replied, making the woman angrier.

"You bastard!" she cursed, with a powerful aura blasting out of her body. The same thing happened with the two people behind her.

"You think, you are powerful, hun?" she asked. "I am, at least more than you," I replied.

"Well, I would like to see how powerful you are against three of us," she said, and three of them came at me.

The smile on my face turned brighter.

I put one hand behind my back, while a rapier made of energy appeared on the other.

Seeing, that anger in their eyes exploded further.

"Die you bastard!" said the woman as she swung her beautiful red sword at me.

The two attacked me from the other two directions, sealing my route to retreat.

CLANG!

I moved my rapier and clashed with her sword.

As it did, her eyes widened, and she shook before she took a step back. The other two attacked and arrived, but they hit nothing but air.

I appeared behind the woman and casually swung my rapier. It alarmed the woman, and she hastily moved her sword forward to defend.

CLANG!

They clashed and once again she shook, before starting to take the steps back rapidly with blood coming out of the corner of her lips.

I appeared beside her as she stopped and attacked again.

CLANG!

She was barely able to move her sword forward, and we clashed. This time, there was no shake, she simply shocked back like a rocket, vomiting blood.

"Come attack me," I said to the two, who had stopped attacking me after the first attack.

I shook my head and turned to the woman. It took a few more seconds to stop; she wiped the blood from her lips and turned to me.

She kept staring at me for a couple of seconds, with various emotions flashing across her face before coming toward me.

It surprised me a little. I thought she would run away, but it seemed like she was smarter than that.

Soon, she stopped in front of me, with her two minions appearing behind.

"We apologize for the trouble we have caused you," she apologized with a bow.

"It's no disrespect," I said, and their eyes lit up. "But you disturbed me and for that, you all have to pay," I said with a sweet smile on my ugly face.

"We do not have much," said the woman.

"I do not want much, just the value equivalent of two thousand blue heaven lotuses from each of you," I said.

"That is too much," shouted the burly man, and I smiled.

"If it is too much for you, I am more than willing to take all of your storages. I am sure I will find something of value in there," I replied, and they shuddered.

A minute later, all three the flew away with anger and indignation, while I turned to stuff in front of me.

Some of the things they gave are really good.

I took them into my storage and flew down toward the lake. I have not finished harvesting the lotuses.
