A group of natives stopped in front of the Grimms; all of them powerful at the Peak of Sky Sovereign, with numbers higher than the natives.
"So?" asked the Grimm leader to the leader of the native in front of it.
"Our leadership agreed," replied the native man and his expression wasn't good, but he knew it was necessary.
They need Grimms and Grimms need them to get what they need.
"Good, then we should start working then," said the Grimm with a grin.
The natives looked at the Grimms with distrust and there is no doubt in their mind that they would try their all to kill them, and they would be doing the same.
However, they would be refraining from doing that for at least until they get what they want from Oryg Valley.
….
"Out," I said as I stepped out of the corrupted mist into the bright afternoon sun of Ser August realm.
It had taken me longer than I had thought, but I had finally come out, and feeling the uncorrupted air and bright sun couldn't help, but put a big smile on my face.
I took a deep breath of clean air before moving forward with the map flashing in front of me.
It took barely a second for my clone to recognize where I was and I was already moving toward my final destination.
The Oryg Valley.
I am not directly going at it, but I am going to get as close as possible. I want to see what it is there that attracted so many Sky Sovereigns.
This realm had been successful, more than I had thought it would be. Not only did I have a lot of resources, but I was also able to make a breakthrough and grow a lot of resources in my core.
They are growing nicely, and I feel like even if I can't achieve my target, I will be able to reach quite close.
After the breakthrough, I was lucky enough to get two bloodline Grimms. The first one was quite strong and I am still regretting, that I couldn't fight against it to my heart's content.
I would have really liked to fight it in an open field without any fear and kill it with my blade rather than my strings.
Such opportunities are rare. Even if we had been fighting here, I would have tried to kill it as soon as possible.
The realm is a dangerous place and every moment, I could get discovered, not only by other Grimms but also by the powerful monsters. It would be foolish not to end the battle as quickly as possible by using everything one has.
I will not be foolish. I could suppress my urge for the great battle for the quick death of the enemy.
It is not like the short battles aren't stimulating; they are. It is why I am only feeling faint disappointment about my battle with the Golden Fire Werewolf.
I moved quickly and carefully; the area near the exit was extremely dangerous, with the number of people coming from it.
Currently, I am sensing two people; one is Grimms and the other is native. The Grimm is Sky Sovereign and quite far or I wouldn't have been moving at all.
As for the other one, it is native. An Earth Sovereign, pretty strong with a good enough stealth method, that Grimm Sky Sovereign wouldn't be able to discover her.
I didn't approach her despite being close to me and continued moving.
A few hours passed, and I had covered enough of the distance that, I had started to increase my speed. If I keep moving at such a speed, I would be able to reach my destination in four days.
Hun!
Suddenly, a smile appeared on my face, and I took the right turn and increased my speed a little.
Little over ten minutes later, I saw the Grimm. A werewolf, moving in the same direction as me.
As I reached closer to it, I began to reduce my speed, but kept it more than it and soon there was only a few hundred meters of distance between me and the Werewolf.
I stepped out of the stealth and leaped toward the Grimm.
It had been discovered and turned, but it was slow. The Werewolf is a High-Earth Sovereign Grimm; it had above average, but nothing compared to mine.
Puch!
It is why I was able to pierce my long sword through its chest, without any resistance.
The Werewolf looked at me in fury and unwillingness, before I had sent to my core and resumed my journey.
The Werewolf didn't have the bloodline, but they didn't need to have it for me to kill them. I will kill them with or without it, but I will be far more enthusiastic about killing the ones with the bloodline.
A few seconds later, the runes covered it and began the harvest, while the Grimm screamed.
I had killed thousands of Grimms in my core, but every time they scream, during the harvest, it will affect me. Though, I have long gotten used to it and there is no mercy in my heart for them.
It never had, even when I had harvested the first Grimm.
For cultists, I have a shade of emotions and understand many of the complex conditions and conditionings for joining it.
Every time I kill one; I feel pain, but not with Grimms. They are pure evil, and they need to be eradicated.
My clone opened its storage and found a pretty good thing and I have even received a surprise, seeing the things in its storage.
The Werewolf didn't come from the pale city, as I had thought I had. It had things, but they have been gotten by killing.
If I was right, then this bastard had been waiting at the exit, killing those coming out of it. It is an excellent strategy, a risky one, and it has worked for it.
It had looted and killed many people, including fellow Grimms, and left. It is when it had met me and ended up losing its life.
For the next hour, I didn't come across any Grimm or natives. I had sensed a few monsters, but I was able to avoid them.
Hun!
A few more minutes passed, and I sensed the Sky Sovereign. A native Sky Sovereign; it is flying in the opposite direction of mine and doing something strange.
It is throwing crystals as it flew; they seemed to be the memory crystals.
It surprised me, but I didn't move toward it and instead kept moving for an hour, before finally running toward the path. The Sky Sovereign had flown and, sure enough, I had found what I had been looking for.
There are crystals, tens of them in a mile-long area, and more after it.
The Sky Sovereign is sending the message, and it made me curious. They didn't take such action unless it was necessary.
I carefully picked the crystal with my string and inspected it cautiously before sending it to my core.
Hun!
A second later, my clone looked at me and the information inside was shocking.
The Sky Sovereigns are asking us to gather in several places. They plan to take us to the Oryg valley and send us to an important part, which is currently only accessible to the Earth Sovereigns and below.
I looked at four points; they are asking us to gather and one of them is on my way.
There is no way I am going to go there, without verifying it first. These kinds of traps had been used by the cults and Grimms before and I wouldn't be going unless I am really sure.
Though, if what they are saying is true, then it is pretty shocking news.
The Grimms are controlling the Oryg Valley or were controlling the Oryg Valley as I didn't have current information about its state.
So, now either natives have snatched it from the hands of the Grimm and controlled it, which is hard but not impossible, or they are working together with the Grimms.
It rarely happens, with them being anathema and all but it happens. Though there are strict guidelines there and first and foremost is obtaining permission from the organization.
It is forbidden to do it without obtaining permission from the higher-ups.
I sighed and felt my head hurting; things had become complicated and dangerous, but it had also become interesting.
Both of the conditions are tricky and wouldn't be done unless there is something important.
I wonder what it is.
I shook my head and resumed moving, but this time, I had adjusted my route. The earlier route was too direct to one of the points and I couldn't take the risk of walking on it.
Within a second, my clone had adjusted the route; it would take me a little longer but would be much safer.
I like to go with safety since shit had become so serious.
