"I have already prepared the resources. Once I get the blessing, I will make an advancement immediately," said the old man.
"You are the not only one preparing for that old man, I ha" The words from the winged woman's mouth stopped mid-way she sensed something. She is not the only one.
Others also sensed it.
ƥαṇdα-ηθνε|·ƈθm "What is happening?" asked the horned man. They are connected to the tower. If something happens there, they could sense it.
And something had happened.
"I don't know, but something is happening." Said the old man, before a hesitation appeared on his face.
"Should we leave?" he asked. They are doing a very dangerous thing. If someone heard even a whisper, the wrath of the entire world would come down to them.
They will be killed most painfully, and their legacies will be wiped out.
"Do you think we can leave?" asked the winged woman mirthlessly, and the old man wanted to curse. They cannot leave till the sacrifice is complete, he tried, but this place wouldn't let him.
The powerful aura blasted off his body, and he tried with everything he has.
He is having a terrible feeling about it and his instinct were never wrong. He needed to leave quickly as possible, or he would suffer a fate worse than death.
Seconds passed and his struggle was futile; the tower is holding them and even when they used full power together, they couldn't get away.
Hun!
Suddenly, the formation they were sitting lit up and dark red flames begin to seep out of it. Seeing the flames, his heart shuddered, and he tried to get away from it, but he couldn't.
AHHHHHH….
He was trying when suddenly, a mournful scream rang out. It was so painful that he felt like he was feeling the pain.
He had never heard such a scream, even from the thousands he had tortured.
The scream had just rung out when another rang out before another joined. He was listening to them when the kindles of flames below him turned into a blood-red bonfire. Enveloping him fully.
He screamed like he had never done in his life. Had lived for over a thousand years and reached where he is, he experienced countless pains, but never one like this.
These flames burning him, not his soul or even body, but his self; giving him the greatest pain he had ever experienced.
…
"Two hours passed and there is no sign of that human," said the tailed man; one of the first who followed them.
"Maybe he had escaped," said another.
I remained quiet as I had been in the past two hours. Landan or whatever his name is had walked into the dome. When I tried to follow behind him through that runic door, I was repelled hard.
'These people are reaching their limit of patience; it won't take them long before they tore each other apart,'
'They will start with us,' said Clem, and I could only sigh.
Especially when I saw the gaze of Elf, who had remained calm till now, but I am sure, when it comes to punishment, she will be the first to raise her hand.
I am cursing him, but there is also hope in my heart. That he might not have escaped and still working inside to find an escape is like he had promised.
I still don't know where I had seen him the first time, before the ruin. Though, I am sure; I met him in Klahan.
She had used the name 'Kara' there.
There are many suspects. I had been there for months and came in contact with a lot of people. Still, every face I think, I reject it; I don't think he is one of them.
It is very hard when it comes to people like him, who could change their face and aura, so perfectly.
"Human girl, you seemed to know him. Do you really think he had escaped?" asked the Elf finally.
Immediately, all the eyes of hundreds of Sovereigns fell on me.
Crack Crack Crack
"I don't know. I didn't know him for tha" she was speaking, when she suddenly stopped in shock.
As she heard the cracking sound in her. It is coming from brands imprinted on her body, soul, and core.
They are breaking, huge cracks appear in them, and they are spreading fast, and seeing how quiet it had become, it is clear. I am not the only one who is experiencing it; everyone is one.
Bang!
With a single bang, all three brands on my body, soul, and core were destroyed and disappeared.
"Yes! Even if I did not escape, I will die happy," said one Sovereign, and many nodded, including me.
The brand made her feel like a slave, a feeling she did not want to experience again. She had come to hate it by burning vengeance after what she had experienced in the past.
Hun!
People were rejoicing when another thing happened which wiped out a smile on the face of everywhere.
The ground under their feet begin to shake; at first, it was minor shaking, but within a second, it had turned into a massive earthquake.
We had to fly into the air, as the ground split apart.
It is not just the ground, but also the bloody dome on which cracks begin to appear and, at the same time, spatial rifts begin to form in the air.
The small thin rifts widened rapidly; they needed to move constantly to avoid them. They are Sovereign, but these rifts could even tear them into the two; it is better to not get caught in them.
"Wait, look at these rifts?" said Clem suddenly. I turned to him, and he was looking into the rift.
I followed his gaze, and a moment later, my eyes couldn't help but widen.
There are not the kind of spatial rifts we were thinking they are. They are raw teleportation rifts; they are connected to the other place.
The other side of the rifts she is looking at is a snowy mountain.
"They are dangerous," I said. They may be connected to other places, but traveling through them is still dangerous; they could be thrown into the spatial seal, which will turn them into dust in an instant.
"Do you see any other way here?" he asked as we avoided another rift. "No," I replied.
"Fuck, I don't care anymore," cursed one Sovereign not far from me and jumped into the rift. Corner of my eyes, I saw the Elf gracefully step into the rift.
Everywhere I look, I see people jumping into the rift that is taking them to an unknown place. there is a good chance, some of them might get flung into the space sea, but they did not seem to care.
"It seemed like we have no other choice," I said, and he nodded mirthlessly, before stepping into the rift where the large glowing canyon was showing.
I did not follow him; he is a friend, and we knew quite a lot of battles together in the past few months, but we have different priorities.
I looked, before appearing in front of the rift with crystal blue water on the other. I looked at it for a second before stepping inside, hoping I would reach the other side safely.
