CLANG CLANG CLANG
It had been five hours since the battle had begun, and it was still in a stalemate.
Grimms and natives are dying by a minute. Each one tries to kill another quickly as possible. I am doing the same, killing one Grimm after another. Not resting even for a minute, no matter how injured I am.
For it, I am gaining a reward. My strength is rising rapidly. Every battle with Grimms with bloodlines had made me strong, that I have reached the limit.
One or two Grimms more and I will be at the limit.
It happened far more quickly than I had imagined, but it made me happy, as well as sad. Happy because I have reached the limit, and sad because very soon, my strength will stop rising.
There are many people, even reaching the limit. I would not be strong enough to fight against the strongest on the ground.
Forget Sovereign, there are many Primary-III who are insanely strong. Thankfully, it is not just the Grimms, there are natives just as strong as them and fighting them.
The battle is a stalemate, with us slowly moving toward the gate, which is our ultimate purpose.
If we want to exit through the gate, then we will have to crush the Grimms. Edge wouldn't be enough to will have to crush their numbers enough that they will retreat, or they will not let us enter through the gate.
PUCH!
I appeared behind and pierced the sword into the heart of Grimm before taking it to my storage.
The heart of the Grimms has become my weakness. I need to target that part to immobilize them before sending them to my core. It would have been easier when I had my strings.
I could attack them whenever I want, before them in my core.
I do not like this weakness; it leaves a mark. My clone is working on something that will immobilize the Grimms, attacking parts other than the heart, like the skull.
I do not want complete freedom to attack all the parts. Even if it was two or three aside from the heart, I would be satisfied. I just need some freedom. It will solve a lot of problems.
As of now, If I want to land a killing blow, I would always need to target the heart; it restricts the options of choosing the opening.
Puch!
"Die, you bastard!" said Bullman, as it appeared to me. I slowly turned toward it, before appearing in front of it, before my sword went to its chest smoothly.
A second later, it disappeared, while I moved my eyes to search for the prey.
Hun!
I was looking when I felt a gaze and saw an Apeman with brown horns coming toward me. I grinned, seeing it coming toward me, and moved toward it. Instead of waiting.
It will not be an easy enemy to deal with it. It is a High-Primary-III and, seeing it has a bloodline; it is obviously going to be stronger than most people of its level.
"Hesr's Might!" It shouted and brightened down that huge Warhammer on me, with a suppressive power.
It is an earth elemental powerhouse. The attack just now has the elements of gravity involved in it.
Seeing that, I couldn't help but grin. I love it when there is something different from the usual elements. It makes the battle fun and sees; it is a Grimm with the bloodline; it is double fun for me.
CLANNG!
My sword toothpick sword clashed against its huge Warhammer, stopping it in its tracks, while making the eyes of Apeman wide.
"It would be a lot more fun. If you use your full power," I said with a grin. Its eyes flared in anger, but a moment later, they calmed down and a smile appeared on its face.
"Since you want to see my full power. I will give you a glimpse of my full power," it said loudly, and a powerful aura burst out of it.
It is powerful enough to push tens of people and Grimms fighting around us.
Its aura spread, before consolidating its back and turning into the faint bloodline phantom. Which had stayed behind it for a moment, before merging back into its body.
"Good, now show me what you got," I said and it shook in rage, seeing me treating it like a weakling.
Silvery brown energy flared around the head of its hammer, and it was brought down. Immediately increasing the gravity by over three times.
This place already has a higher gravity and now it is attacking with such an attack.
Well, I do not mind. I am already grateful it did not shout the name of its attack. I don't know why, this shouting of the name of the attack had begun to irritate me. It wasn't before, but now it did.
CLANNNG!
I defended, and the strong elemental power filled me as gravity came at me. Wanting to make a misshapen mess under its power.
I can't imagine the things this power had done to people. It is making me want to kill it more.
"Human, I will kill you!" roared the Apeman out suddenly and attacked again, but with a more powerful attack than before.
Maybe it might have gotten angry, but I had defended its attack without any shaking.
It was a terrifying attack and if it had come at me at the beginning of the battle. It would have crushed me, but now after killing so many Grimms with the bloodline; it is difficult, even for someone with this kind of power.
CLANNNG CLANNNG CLANNNG
It begin to attack me rapidly and I defended. I did not launch a single attack, only defended, while studying its fighting style.
It is a great fighter, which is not surprising, given it had a bloodline. All those with bloodlines are skilled fighters. Because of those memories, their bloodline provides them.
They effectively merged with them, giving them knowledge and instinct of that fighting style.
Without practicing even a single day. They gain knowledge and the amazing thing is; the knowledge does not feel foreign to them. It feels like it is something they learned after practicing for decades.
It is what makes it so frustrating to fight with these bastards. If I had not fought thousands of them, I wouldn't have been easily able to kill these bastards.
Seconds turn to minutes and we kept fighting.
I could see it getting frustrated by not landing even a single strike at me. Using all kinds of moves and attacks, but not a single thing it used was able to break through my defense.
It made it take a risk, and I rewarded it, letting it get closer, the more daring it became.
It slowly begins to lose its inhibition as its attack became more and more daring.
A few minutes passed, and I got the opportunity I was waiting for and took it, without hesitation.
Puch!
A second and a half later, my sword pierced through its chest while it watched in horror.
A moment later, it disappeared, and I moved to the different Grimms. A few minutes passed and strengthening the energy released from my core increased my strength rapidly.
My body continued to absorb the strengthening energy till it stopped doing it.
It may be sudden, but not surprising. I had been expecting it.
The limit.
