The Mainland
"Ready yourselves; we all will have only a few seconds after the night blade appear," said Patriarch Bradford; nine minutes have passed since he had asked them to prepare for the final charge.
They have been preparing, but not in an obvious way; there is no change in their energy circulations as they fight. Though they are taking increasingly desperate measures, they have avoided taking extreme measures, nothing that would alert the old snake.
While their inheritance and bloodline could keep much of the interference out, she did not dare to let her guard down and asked others to same.
They fought the Grimms, harnessing more and more power from their cores; even knowing doing that would spread the curse more, they had no other choice, half of their power had been already sealed by the Grimms, and now, another the rest is sealing away rapidly.
A few seconds passed when suddenly, a big smile lit up across the face of Grimms, and a moment after that, the rest of the Grimm; they have also got the news, seeing it horror couldn't help but appear on my face.
The thing had lighted up, and a Grimm had appeared on it, the first being after nine days, and the Grimm is no simple Grimms but a Grand Lord.
Lady Angela and Elder Lord, who had fought there, confirmed it.
"Hahahaha... another Grand Lord; now there is nothing you could do to stop us, humans," Old Snake roared in laughter while the horror appeared on their faces.
If it had been a week ago, they would have been able to bear an extra Grand Lord, but now, even a single Grand Lord could change the scale, destroy them.
"There is no time to waste; Whitmore sent the night blade n," said Patriarch Bradford before stopping suddenly as the visual in front of him showed another human appear above that thing, a very familiar human.
"Michael Zaar!" said Lord Hern loudly as he was about to leave for the final attack of humans when he suddenly stopped seeing the human that appeared suddenly.
The shock only lasted for a moment, when horror returned again before they saw Rofta, which now became a Grand Lord, attacking the Grandmaster Zaar the moment he appeared, without giving him a moment to activate a defensive method, not that it could help him.
'Only Grand Lord could defend against Grand Lord, especially against such a powerful attack.' When a shock appeared on his face and Lord Whitmore's, who was standing beside him.
"Die, you bastard!" Rofta roared as it attacked me the moment I had appeared. It had not wasted even a fraction of a second; the moment I appeared, it attacked me with an attack that even Grand Lords have to take seriously.
'The bastard did not want to leave any stone upturned,' I thought, seeing the attack.
While the bastard had been prepared, so I am; my great sword appeared in my hand, and I swung it; the moment I did, eyes of it and everyone who was watching went wise.
CLANG!
Its saber slowed down before clashing against my sword, creating a huge shockwave that spread long and wide, giving the Frogman shock of its life as it shook from head to toe.
"You have become a Grand Lord!" shouted Rofta in shock; it was not only the Frogman who was in shock. A shock could be seen on the faces of four Grimms above and two humans fighting them.
"What? Do you think only you could," I mocked without even looking at it, as all my focus was on Elder Lord. He is not fine, the red bloody marks all over it and the mist that came out of it.
'Dangerous curse,' I thought immediately; I have studied the curses enough to know when I see one, and it looked like it had affected him a lot, by the looks of it, which is quite strange considering the Elder Lord would have dealt with the curse already before it had spread inside so deeply.
"What is happening?' I asked, and immediately, a window with Lord Whitmore appeared in front of me. "Battles for survival, Lord Zaar," Lord Whitmore replied in a somber voice, and immediately, a couple of screens appeared in front of me; they were the blurry scenes of battles and one window titled curse.
A look of shock couldn't help but appear on my face seeing the battles, especially two battles, one that was above me and the one that was led by Patriarch Bradford.
That battle is one that shocked me the most; all five humans fighting it, including the Patriarch Bradford, got cursed, and it seemed to be stopping them from using all their power; their state is very bad, seeing the way they are fighting and the state of the curse, I don't think, they are going to last very long.
"You bastard, you dare to ignore me!" shouted the Frogman seeing me absent and attacked, and seeing that, a look of irritation couldn't help but flash in my eyes.
Immediately two thick vine hands came out of me, with each holding a lance and saber, and moved to attack the Frogman.
'Handle it!' I said to clone one; I could have used two of my clones to analyze the data while I fought, but I don't think I will be able to able to fight well without knowing what is happening, and besides, my clone is more than capable of fighting against the Grimm for a while, it had kept me alive when I was fighting Aege, and that were very straining circumstances.
CLANG
The lance clashed against the black saber of the Frogman before the spear attack; the vines are special; they could stretch themselves for quite a long, so I did not have to move away from my spot.
CLANG CLANG CLANG
The Frogman defended, but as it did, another attack came at it and another; the Frogman was seething with fury, especially seeing me standing monotonously, without moving from my spot, but it could not do anything, as it needed to respond to the coming attacks from my spear and lance.
"Fuck!" I shouted loudly as I read the file about the curse; it did not take me long to read the simple explanation, and it horrified me, especially when I read how much the curse affected all six of our Grandmasters; the growth of the curse was updated, just a few seconds ago.
'Lord Whitmore, I am going for the aid of Patriarch Bradford,' I said; I was planning to fight against this Frogman while aiding Lady Angela and Elder Lord in the battle, but the condition of the other battlefront is direr; with their condition, they would not last long.
"Lord Zaar, you could not!" said Lord Whitmore alarmingly; "Lady Angela and Elder Lord are barely able to stop the four Grimm Grand Lords they are fighting; if you left, their condition would become direr with Rofka joining battles against them," he added with a great alarm.
"Don't worry, Lord Whitmore; joining the battle against our Grand Lords will be the last thing on Rofta's mind in the next few seconds," I said with a smile.
I have been hiding my greatest trump card for years, rarely revealing any of her abilities, but now that I have gained the power of the Grand Lord, it is time to reveal her to the world.
