"Another one," I said as I looked at the body of Grimm or what remained of it; there is barely anything had remained, even most of the bones were eaten, and the remaining were in such shape that even I couldn't make sense of them without a proper investigation.

The reason I was able to tell was because of the weapon and huge tattered clothes; monsters don't eat that.

This is the fourth body of Grimm I had seen in this place; I did not see any dead humans, which is not surprising, seeing we are small, and our weapons and clothes could easily get buried in the water and the mud.

The challenge was hard, harder than any survival-type challenge I had faced here; it did not seem at first, but as I fought, I began to notice the tiny changes that make this place dangerous.

I looked around for potions and luckily found them; I collected them in the bottles I had before walked away. Even if the monster nearly ate the body, I did not want to remain close to it.

Since the challenge began, I have constantly been fighting; there wasn't an hour when I hadn't fought. Many monsters had come at me; some were easy to kill, while others were so hard that I felt intense mortal danger facing them.

The most dangerous ones always came in groups.

A few minutes later, another monster attacked me; I finished within a few seconds and walked away before stopping a few minutes later and abruptly changing direction.

Soon, I saw a human woman fighting a group of monsters; I knew her and realizing that I had walked away from the battle. She is one of the most experienced High-Grandmasters, more than capable of dealing with any danger that would come across her.

I have come across many humans in a day; most of them I left alone like right now, some I had helped when I saw them needed the help and even provided them with the potions.

Some wanted to team up, but I politely rejected the offer; I worked better alone and only teamed up when it was necessary.

Not to mention, I think teaming up in such challenges would be detrimental to them in such challenges. They will learn more if they complete the challenges alone.

A few more hours passed, and I have killed a few more monsters before resting for a few minutes and killing the monster that attacked before changing the place and resting again for a few precious minutes.

I did not even think about the sleep as from the beginning, I knew I would get none here. Sleeping means death, and only an idiot would do that. Most who are in this test would short rest whenever they could before fighting again.

The time challenge is three days, which is neither long nor short, but not everybody can bear it. It broke the people's spirit and left them running at the first chance. Many had said that they would fight a war at their full power than go to another survival-type challenge.

From what I had observed so far, more than half people left after completing survival challenges; it gave them fear and shook their souls.

Even Grandmasters and above are no exceptions; it could be said that it is them who hate these kinds of challenges the most.

It robs them of their god-like powers and forces them to fight like a mortal; they hate that feeling after sacrificing so much to attain their powers. I am also one of them, but for most who stay, I also understand only by passing through these challenges we could achieve what we want.

Still, even the big powerhouses have a limit at that one point; they too leave this place, or rather this place forces them, as challenges get s harder by the day.

In the thousands of years since this place appeared, there have never been more than twenty people who came out to finish the last challenge.

Even with all the powerhouses of each generation, less than twenty people have remained till the end, and that is Grimms, and humans combined.

Another two hours passed and these two hours, and I have come across a group of monsters. I had slain each and every one of them, but their mild poison, which came in high dosage, was paralyzing; it was a good thing; I saw what it was and took the precaution against it.

I walked across the muddied water, avoiding the quagmires that would have definitely killed a few. Though I did not see the proof, the quagmires did not leave the proof behind when they swallowed.

Hun!

I was walking when I suddenly felt immense danger, and it came from water, but I could not see what it was. So, I did the only sane thing I could and jumped.

The moment I did, I saw the blue-electrical arcs spreading across the water, and soon they enveloped me as my feet were still in the water. It will take a fraction of a second to completely get out, and till then, I will have to suffer this shock.

The electricity that the eel monster had released was powerful, so much, so that normal person had been standing in my place, he would have burned to coal; even now, I am suffering from shock, and can see how it is burning off the tiny hair across my body and begin to faintly char my skin.

The pain it gives is also no less, but that is an easy thing to bear.

Gulp!

I stayed in the water for less than a second before I flew up, and the first thing I did coming up was to move my numb limbs with all my will and drink a sip of a healing potion.

While I have received a shock for less than a second, it did quite a damage, especially the numbing effect across my body, which is no less bad as serious injuries because it stopped me from using all my strength, and I can't have that.

So, I took a sip of the precious potion, which I only do when I am seriously injured; I am not seriously injured right now, but my condition is the same as if I am.

The potion transformed into the energy before it had reached my stomach and spread across my body. The minor injuries healed it in a matter of seconds, and most importantly, I have got my complete mobility back and am now free to deal with any challenges that come across me.

I grabbed the branch of the tree before swinging myself toward the dry part of the root; earlier, I had seen electricity spreading and how few safe areas were.

Even my body great conductor with all its wetness due to the constant rain, which had not stopped even for a second.

Thud!

I landed on the dry root and began to look for an eel monster which had nearly killed me; I have to kill it before I walked away, or it will zap me to death.
