"You have grown powerful; I don't think I can beat you to the pulp like before," she said as she looked at me from up to down.

"It seemed like your habit of overestimating yourself against me still hadn't completely disappeared," I said, to which a bright smile appeared on her face. "Don't forget, I have beat you the pulp many times, and I have photos of it if you want to jog your memories." She replied with her old taunting smile.

"That was the past; you will have a very hard time if you want to beat me to that condition ever again," I said, to which she arched her brow.

p "Really, from what I could see, you are a High Grandmaster, and I am Grandmaster and still confident in dominating you in battle; I wonder what will happen if I reached the same level as you are?" she asked, and that brought a big smile on my face.

"Are you really sure I am a High Grandmaster?" I asked back, and her expression froze for a moment before a familiar smile appeared on her face.

"You still like to play the wolf in the sheep's clothing, aren't you?" she asked, and to that, I could only smile.

"How are you?" I asked, "Me good." She replied and turned me with twinkling eyes. "It is you, I should be asking, mister world-famous, producer of powerhouses," she said in an exaggerated manner.

"Do you know, nearly every conversation I have, you appeared in it, and when people came to know I am your friend, they beg me to introduce them to you, so you could do your magic and make them level up," she complained.

It is not just her complaint but also of the many of her friends and family; my father had been barraged by these, and so was my mother; they did not even leave my sister. Just a few days ago, my sister told me to make her and her friend Lola strong, so they could fly in the sky like adults.

"So, the people know my worth finally; you should come to my lab. I will give you a good advancement in a short time," I said and looked at her as I looked at the precious thing.

She did not like me looking at her like that and glared at me fiercely.

Ellen was different than the rest; her bloodline was on a completely level, above that of the phoenix and dragon bloodlines which are considered the top bloodline of the universes, and I want to examine it; I am sure the data I will get after that would be tremendously helpful to me.

Snort!

"I don't need your help; I am capable of advancing on my own," she replied with a snort. "That you are," I affirmed.

"By the way, where is your fiancé? Is she not coming?" I asked her, to which she shook her head. "She decided to stay back at the organization," she replied, "And your girlfriend, is she not coming too?" she asked, "No," I replied; I could have lied and avoided the question but decided not to.

"So, you do have a girlfriend," she said, and to that, I could only smile. I have already said more than I should, I am not going to say anything further, so I swiftly changed the subject to something else.

Ting!

A few minutes passed as we talked when my holowatch rang out with the mail; I read it and turned to Ellen.

"It is time," I said to her before walking on the stage; without me saying anything, everybody fell silent and turned to me.

"In a minute, the teleportation formations would appear minute and take us to the place near that thing," I said, a little awkwardly. Even after such a long time, I am still uncomfortable in a big crowd, and that makes me a little awkward, which sometimes shows.

Still, I did it as it was an honor.

Only the Grand Lords take these powerhouses near that place when that thing appears, but this time they have given me the honor, and for that, I couldn't help but feel grateful to them.

"Have all the people gathered, Grandmaster?" asked a High Grandmaster, "No, Lord Anders; the thing had begun to come out yesterday, and we have not been able to call back all our powerhouses we have selected,"

"Those who we could reach have come back and still coming; those who could not sadly miss this great chance, and we will have to choose the others as their replacements," I replied.

We have a range of numbers for each level, like we will take three hundred seventy-five to four hundred twenty-five for Grandmasters. There is a decided range for High-Grandmasters, too; the number we choose depends upon the powerhouses who could come back from the various missions they have been on.

It would have been great if we knew the date of its appearance, it would have made a lot of things quite easier, but we did not and thus wouldn't be able to call back all the powerhouses who have been chosen to enter that the thing, which I will see in few seconds.

Buzz Buzz Buzz

Just as the minute passed, the teleportation formations appeared beneath the feet of people, and a second later, they buzzed, and we disappeared.

A second later, we appeared in a place that was filled with rock hills; everywhere one would see, they would find the hills of red rocks with scan vegetation. Thoughts of years ago, this place used to have a verdant forest, but the battles fought here had changed the whole ecosystem of this place.

In front of me is Grand Commander with seven council members; aside from her, all of them are entering inside. There were supposed to be eight council members entering inside, but Lord Hunt had not returned from the ruin yet; the pyramid tried to contact him, but they could not reach him.

Behind me are Grandmasters and High-Grandmasters standing in a neat lined, and behind them are thousands of Masters. There are over six thousand of them; the pyramid decided to level 50% master into that thing, which I am quite opposed to.

The think offers the advancements that even I could not compete with the team and unlimited resources, but that place also kills quite a lot of people.

I looked ahead toward the Grand Lords, who were standing a few miles away; there were only three of the Lady Angela, who was in the middle, while Lady Vivian to her left and Lord of the sky to her right, and they were facing the five Grimm Grand Lords.

The one that is leading them is the old snake, the oldest and most vicious Grand Lord of Grimms, whose curses have taken innumerable lives.

The curse that my mother got and then transmitted to me before becoming sentient was a signature curse of it cast by its student. This bastard is very dangerous; it is said anyone below the Grand Lords who enters the three hundred meter range around it will be hit by its curses.

It is not just the rumor but the truth that Grand Lords have conformed, so no matter how much I hate this bastard, I will not be going near it unless I have the power of the Grand Lord.
