Chapter 2464 Escape II

BANNNG

The last fiery swirl crashed into my shield, spreading the single crack on the clashing shield even further, though it did not spread to the other shield.

I was quite surprised to see the defensive power of my shields. If I am right, then it is one of the most powerful attacks of the Golden Fire Werewolf, and my shields were able to do much better than I had thought.

Now that I have got the estimated power, I did not waste any time. I begin to make my move in the guise of the chaotic energy around me; by the time it is cleared in a few seconds, I will have already finished with my preparations.

A few seconds passed, and finally, the energy had cleared enough that we could see each other.

Seeing me standing, its eyes couldn't help but widen in shock, but soon those expressions changed into ecstasy when it saw my shields which were filled with cracks. They looked like they could crack at any moment; not only that, but my aura also seemed to fluctuate as if I was having a problem maintaining my peak strength.

"You are quite a powerful human; despite being a peak Grandmaster, you can defend against me to such a degree." It praised.

"You would be more even impressed when I escape right in front of you," I said back, and my cracked shields began to unravel. From the spherical round, it formed a circle and moved toward it to envelop it inside them.

"Shield trapping, I have heard about this ability of yours," It said and did not make any move to avoid my shields, which couldn't help but confuse me as I had made a plan if it tried to do that.

"It seemed your little brain is thinking, why I am not avoiding your shields, humans?" It asked with a confident smile on its face.

"Why are you not avoiding? You should know that all those who got trapped into my shields have died," I said with confidence, which brightened the smile on its face even more.

"If you much know, then I want to try this move of yours and everything move after. I am recording it to show that bastard Kafa,"

"He is being too confident these days, just because it had comprehended the Grand Art, but despite that, he was not able to kill you and even let you escape, but I will kill you after experiencing your every move and show it to that smug-faced bastard,"

"I want to see whether it still has a smug smile on its face when it sees the recording of me killing you," It said with eyes full of envy.

'For petty revenge, the bastard is trapping itself?' I asked myself in question while remaining utter stumped by its action.

I remember the fight it is talking about, and it is one of the most dangerous battles I have ever fought and even more dangerous than this one, but unlike this one. In that battle, I secured myself a safe existence at the very start a battle and was able to escape when it was time.

"It seemed like you truly have a hard time believing me; I would be able to break through your puny shields. Then let me tell you something; the attack I had just used is only 50% of my strength, till now I haven't used half of my strength. You wouldn't be standing here if I had," It said.

Its words couldn't help but surprise me; I had estimated it had used 70% of its strength, and now it is saying it had used 50%.

It seemed like I had to work a little extra on my investigative abilities; they were turning a little useless in front of these truly powerful enemies.

"Let me tell you one thing; you have made a grave mistake in letting my shields trap you; now you can forget about killing me," I said, revealing a true confident smile for the first time. At the same time, all the cracks on the shields were healed, and they turned red.

I am not willing to take any chances in my escape and begin to burn my essence without hesitation.

"You Bastard!" Roared the Golden Fire Werewolf as it understood the mistake it had made and began to attack it with great power.

It is a really good thing I am burning up my blood; otherwise, I would have heavily injured or even died by the sheer amount of energy that is coming at me.

I did not waste any time and appeared beside the door and brought out the formation from my core. The entrance formation on the door might change with every entrée, but the exit formation did not change, which had really caught me by surprise.

It is the reason why I took a step forward out that door; If it had a new formation, it would have taken me hours to break it, and I could only survive minutes against the Grimm Monster.

Buzz!

The formation stuck on the door and buzzed a second later and began to form a key while I bore the heavy brunt of the Werewolf's attack, which was attacking my shields like mad.

Each second felt like an hour, and when the key finally materialized, I felt like a day had passed.

Click!

I pressed the key into the door and heard the most wonderful clicking sound I had ever heard and pushed the door.

Step Step Step

Soon the door opened enough that I could walk out, and I took a step out but stopped the door from closing and turned to Golden Fire Werewolf, which had also stopped attacking and now looking at me with blazing anger.

"Try harder next time, Grimm!" I said with a smile and pulled my strings hard, and, at the same time, began pushing the door.

"Die, you wretched bastard!" Roared against the Werewolf and attacked but unfortunately for it, my strings were too fast.

The shields instantly turned back into strings and came at me; they had already reached halfway before Grimm even attacked, and by the time Grimms attack had reached halfway, my string returned through the small gap in the door, and just as they returned, I closed the small gap of the huge door.

I don't know what happened a fraction of a second late, but I am sure it is something bad. There is a nasty anti offensive formation.

If I were in its place, I would have stopped my attack somehow, as the thing that will happen after the attack land on the door will not be pretty.
