The compilations of runes fused with one another around the infernal spear bound within the formation began to spiral, swelling with such a frenzy of power the hairs on the back of my neck spiked. In a single moment, a deafening noise erupted.
The border between Heaven and Hell was cut in half, revealing a spiraling void in the abyss as this spear streaked through the vast expanse.
Gritting my teeth, Noctem shot forward in a simple flash of blinding black light, striking over the tip of the infernal spear. Time ceased. Laws splintered and bent, howling as they began to deteriorate back into nodes of concepts.
But as the Infernal spear flared with transcendent might, the hiss of the spear groaned as it struck against my spear. The point grew bent and, from the tip to the polearm, collapsed into itself like a car crashing into a wall in slow motion.
The Infernal spear was nothing but a chunk of metal mass that Noctem tore through as Heaven and Earth whizzed, having gathered so much momentum I couldn't stop. Like a volcano, a vibrant explosion spanning hundreds of galaxy-filled flashed and perished. Nebulas grew bright and trickled away to stardust, while stars themselves twisted in such a way I could feel Heaven's End bleed into this world.
The border of the Fourth Heavens shattered. And an incalculable amount of souls were wiped from existence as the bed of chaos dimmed… The Northern Supercluster was gone.
"...what did I do!"
Feeling the cries of the Karmic Laws, my cold eyes went wide as the spear arc left this Fourth Heaven and into the Fifth… worlds began to burn before my eyes.
"Ok… so maybe one percent was too much," said Lily. "You going to jail, Sene. They are coming for your booty."
I staggered, dismissing the spear of death, and stared at the scar over Heaven's End, bleeding into this world. Fear dancing along my spine, I felt a cruel intent begin to trickle out of the scar.
"Lily, what's happening?"
"You're asking me? I don't know!"
Sensing a small backlash coming along, I looked down at my scarred arm, seared beyond recognition but still usable. A few years of healing, and I should be good.
"Arsene Snow, you have been charged with a category three crime against creation by Decree of the Council of Order. Relinquish the weapon formally known as Noctem or be annihilated. "
"You dummy!" An annoyed voice came.
Glancing as Lilith appeared, a crooked grin stretched across my lips. " How was I supposed to know what would happen? Blame Lily!"
Lilith was glaring, but with a snap, Izavith appeared with a strange-looking dagger in her hand. It was shorter than a sword, but bigger than a dagger, with an edge I could feel held a protective spell around, probably to keep us safe."
"Vita! My love!" Lily squealed like a love-sick child.
Izavith stared long and hard at me and shook her head with disinterest before shifting her attention towards the scar between Heavens.
"Show yourself. I shouldn't need to explain who I am, right?" Izavith said slowly.
"Identity unknown. Stand down, or be Annihilated."
"No." Said Izavith flatly.
"Time Lock Engage, Paradoxical Barrier Activate, Almighty Shields, Engaged…." Going on for a bit, listing off a few more things that made little sense to me, my ears perked up." Crime Risen to Category Four."
Having sensed a sudden sensation of being locked in place, an increasingly dark frown stretched across my lips… Something was trying to slow my perception but only managed to lock my body down.
"Error. Soul Grade: Origin. Annihilation Field—"
'Die." Izavith coldly said.
I couldn't even see what had happened, but silvery eyes appeared before me as Zareil appeared with a single finger stretched out, stopping Izavith's blade in place as Little Jin cheered on top of his head. He lowered his palm as she lowered her blade.
"How'd you…."
p
Taken back, Jin suddenly lept through the confines of space and spiraled at an odd angle, landing right in my arms.
Getting that new baby smell, I smiled, "Sup." I said, looking around as I leaned close into his ear. " Eroma said this to me, and now I must pass down the Dao of Booty to another. Steel yourself, boy. For what you are about to—"
"Gimmie, my child." My brother said, snatching the little guy away as I noticed the red patches seeping into the little guy's white robes. "Who the hell teaches a baby that stuff?"
"Men!"
Glaring profusely at me, I glanced at Lilith, who turned away and crossed her arms: Traitor!
"Do I need to repeat myself?" Zariel suddenly said, glancing into the Scar within Heaven's End. He picked up his lips and tickled little Jin's tummy. "Look on, my son. Papa is about to teach you the art of torture. We start with the skin first. A little controversial but papa will show you how to do it right."
"Lord Snow…" A strong voice filled with unease said as a middle age man with grey hair and sky blue eyes appeared, draped in white garbs that seemed as pure as the Seven Heavens. He pressed a single arm to the chest and another to the back and bowed.
"Aswin Methylin." My brother announced, "when did you have right over this sector directly under my protection?"
"Your Imperialness."
"I wasn't done."
Aswin back dropped even deep as the warm smile on Zariels face dipped into something cold and Orderly. "I've made it abundantly clear any concerns or restriction regarding this Sector is to be handled by the Myriad Gods of the 33 heavens, not from the Council."
'But none dare to cross him… sir."
"Your Point?" Zariel tossed Little Jin to Lilith and snorted. "Do you think because your family has the backing of Archangel Michael, I won't exterminate you and your family?"
"Sir…"
Zariel suddenly paused and smiled. "Arsene… Your spear. Let me hold it."
A little taken aback by such a request, I nodded, although I was slightly put off since the Spear of Noctem was me. Should Zariel ask me to kill myself with the spear in hand, I'd have no choice but to comply.
But I still listened.
Unsheathing the spear, I handed it to him, and he smiled. " Lily… release the limiter."
"BETTTTTT!!!!! Who we fucking up!" Shouted Lily manically.
"Michael is on his way. That pretentious ass. I never liked him. You willing to help?"
"You help him too, Izavith, "Added my wife coldly, " I find that the fact the council wished to kill my hubby is an insult, given my and your standing."
"If you need, Take End with you. Eroma could use a break. God knows he cries each day."
