Harry ignored her sudden change in tone and was more focused on what she said. 'Susan Grey… that name sounds familiar. Wait… Susan Grey?!''
While Harry wasn't really the most current when it came to the happenings in the academy, he wasn't that naive either.
Since he had never paid attention to the ranking competition nor the elite students, he didn't know all of them and would only recognise them if they were putting on their elite uniform.
But he had definitely heard about the name "Susan Grey" from the lips of other students. It was either they talked about her strength or her beautiful facial features—most especially her grey eyes.
Susan Grey, the top one Elementalist of Vane academy!
She wasn't just powerful but was also from an influential family. Her father was the guild-master of Grey Guild—it wasn't too hard to guess where the Guild's name was coined from—a Gold grade guild that was quite popular in Vernil.
Though the AMO were the most popular 'group' when it came to adventuring, it didn't mean there weren't any private guilds in the world—in fact, there were many.
Just as the word "Private" implied; they were simply adventurer guilds owned by private individual(s).
'But why is she calling for me though… is this a trap?' Harry mumbled inwardly.
This wasn't the first time he would be in a situation like this, however, it mainly happened with Han.
They would call him into a secluded environment in the academy, then beat him and embarrass him.
He stared at the face of the girl who came to deliver the message for a few seconds.
Apart from her slightly flushed face, it didn't seem like she was hiding anything. After all, there was no way anyone would be stupid enough to lie with a name like Grey.
But that still didn't take away the possibility of this being a trap.
"Where is she?" Harry asked. While he didn't really like the situation he was currently in, he couldn't exactly ignore it.
In the hierarchy of the academy, the top one student came after the instructors and being too proud could actually bring him some unwanted enemies.
There was still the chance that this wasn't a trap and even if it was, Harry was sure he wouldn't be helpless.
The short girl led him through a series of hallways, until they finally got to a hallway in the third floor of the lecture hall that was quite secluded and filled with little to no students.
Harry recognised the hallway, it was the one that led to the academy laboratories. Since the labs were mainly used for science practicals, students rarely frequented it.
The black haired girl's steps paused halfway to the hall and gestured for Harry to walk the rest.
Even she was curious as to why the rank one student called someone like Harry. Unfortunately, she couldn't meddle and was instructed to only stop her.
Ahhh… What she would give to be in his place?
Harry stared at the small figure of the girl as she waved at him before walking back.
He ignored the girl and focused on the tall figure that stood at the other end of the hallway.
A normal person might not have noticed her as the distance between them was quite much but he was able to due to his high perception.
He slowly walked towards her while keeping his guard up. However, no matter how much he looked, he couldn't find anything out of place, which meant this wasn't a trap.
"Are you Harry?" The girl said as she approached Harry. Her voice was melodious and her tone was surprisingly polite.
A strange glint flashed through Harry's eyes when he heard her words. He hadn't expected her to address him politely, he thought she would be filled with pride like most of the elite student.
It was quite unexpected as she was the number one student in the whole academy, while he was just an Elementalist of the academy.
"Yes." He replied politely. Since she wasn't rude to him, he didn't see any reason for him to not be polite to her. However, he was still wary. After all, he still didn't know why she called out to him.
The girl nodded his head when she heard his reply. He did match the descriptions given to her; dark brown hair, black eyes and a handsome face. However, she would never say the last part out.
"I'm really sorry if I stressed you or anything, it's just that I can't come directly. The attention would be too much." She politely said with an apologetic expression on her face.
Now that Harry was closer to her, he could view her facial features clearly.
She had long blonde hair that draped down her shoulders. Her face was small and round and her eyes had a bright grey colour.
Even though the colour of her eyes could be considered quite weird, she was still very beautiful.
Even her body wasn't lacking with smooth skin and gracious curves.
Her whole appearance gave off a vibe that was quite mysterious—mainly due to her dull grey eyes.
She was putting on the regular elite uniform with golden colour, black collars and two thick black lines running down the sides.
Though Harry didn't show it, his instinct were tingling just by standing close to her.
It started tingling the moment he set his eyes on her and while what he felt couldn't compare to how he felt back when he met the bald headed man, it still made him sure of one thing: this person was strong!
If the golden uniform on her didn't give it away, the dense amount of mana he sensed around her definitely said a lot about her power.
"You shouldn't worry about that." Harry said. He did understand her point, as the rank one academy student, she would definitely attract a lot of attention by speaking to him.
"Have you being waiting for me?" Harry asked. Since he had just recently left the training room, he wondered whether she had being waiting for him to complete his training.
Fortunately for him, he had already set the training room windows to 'private' which meant no one could see what he was doing even if they looked through the windows.
While he was already an 'official' Elementalist of the academy, he still couldn't afford to be careless.
He still didn't want anyone to discover his true strength. Even during the training in the element halls, he always made sure to hold back by acting like he was really chanting the spells.
He was very lucky that he had [Mana core illusion] to do most of the job for him.
"No, I simply told someone to help me look for you." She replied. As she conversed with the brown haired student, she noticed that he seemed to be on edge. But she didn't comment on it.
While Harry was holding a conversation with her, he also used that opportunity to 'scan' her stats. 'Probe.' Harry mumbled inwardly.
A part of him felt like it wouldn't work while a part of him hoped it did.

Harry's eyes widened slightly when he noticed this person's stats. Her mana was very high, even higher than Trent's.
She was already a little more than halfway towards the fourth mana core stage!
Apart from that, her stats were also monstrous!
He had already seen Trent's stats and even they couldn't compare.
"So why… were you looking for me?" He asked, his expression suddenly changing into a serious one.
This was the main question on his mind: why would the top one academy student approach him?
Though the blonde haired girl was quite surprised by the sudden expression that appeared on Harry's face, she didn't think much of it—she would have also reacted the same if placed in his shoes.
"It's simple actually… I want you to join my team." Susan said casually.
The moment Harry heard her words, he felt as if an explosion had gone off in his head. To say he was not surprised by her request would be a very huge lie.
"Huh?" Harry mumbled in shock. His eyes widened slightly and his expression morphed into one that could only be described as a mix of shock and confusion.
Just like every other student in the academy, he also knew about the ranking event that would hold a few weeks from now.
In fact, it was one of the reasons he had been training more intensely during the last few days.
So he also knew about the fact the Elementalists participating would also be grouped into teams for the competition.
"Why… would you want me on your team?" Harry asked with a slightly puzzled expression.
No matter how he tried to view it, it just didn't make any sense.
She was the top one student and she had a wide variety of students to pick her teammates for the event from, it was quite odd that she she chose to pick him.
If anything, it only made him more suspicious of her.
Susan stared at Harry with a weird expression.
Usually, students would jump at this offer—a chance to team up with the most powerful student in the academy, however, Harry was asking her why?

Hey dear readers, I made a few edits in the following chapters: chapter one, five, eleven and the last chapter.
Harry's father is a peak stage three Elementalist while his mother is an early stage Elementalist. I also increased his father's income: it's 150000 credits now.
Edits in the last chapter are minimal but please re-read to understand this chapter better.
