Chapter 33: Don’t Push Me Too Far
Translator: Mia
From Sheng Youting’s words, it could be told that Yu Lan hadn’t tell him Qibao was his daughter. However, Meng Shaoqian believed that she must had done it for a reason.
It was also reasonable for Sheng Youting to mistake Qibao as Meng Shaoqian’s daughter for Qibao was not a normal two-year-old kid. She was weak and couldn’t walk properly. She could only manage to move by leaning against the wall with hands.
Seeing Sheng Youting walking out of his room, Meng Shaoqian stood up. He picked up the stool and smashed it against the table. All the decorations on the table were swept down to the ground.
He lifted his head up and screamed desperately. The voice was so loud that it went way beyond the villa. He was unwilling to let Yu Lan go but he couldn’t. His voice was full of resentment, sadness and sorrow.
He didn’t want to give up. However, he couldn’t imagine what would Yu Lan think of him after she knew all these things. She might hate him with all her soul and he also felt that it would be again a stimulation to Yu Lan.
If Sheng Youting did love Yu Lan, he might hide the truth from her forever.
Noticing that Sheng Youting and his bodyguards were about to getting out of the house, Meng Shaoqian rushed near and shouted, “Sheng Youting!”
It had been a while before Sheng Youting turned back with a poker face though hates were hidden deep in his dark eyes. “Em?”
“Don’t take them away from Ancheng.”
“They will definitely go back with me to Jincheng.”
“I wish you...don’t take them away from Ancheng.” Meng Shaoqian’s eyes got red and walked closer.
Sheng Youting stood still but turned around swiftly seeing Meng Shaoqian coming near, “I’ve told you that don’t push me too far.”
Meng Shaoqian screamed again to stop Sheng Youting, “Qibao matters most to Lanlan and she couldn’t leave Ancheng for if she leaves, she would get allergic. If it were not for her special conditions, we won’t give up the safe environment overseas and take the risk to get back.”
Sheng Youting didn’t believe what Meng Shaoqian had said according to his bad history. He had plotted a lot to get Yu Lan. “I can understand that you want to keep your daughter in Ancheng, a place near you. However, it’s impossible for me!”
Meng Shaoqian feared that Sheng Youting would act arbitrarily despite his warnings, for Sheng Youting had done similar kinds of things repeatedly during all these years. “You won’t insist your behavior if you knew how Lanlan would torture herself after she saw Qibao get allergic. I do hate you and wish that you could leave us together alone, but I don’t want Lanlan to get hurt again.”
Sheng Youting didn’t know whether the information given by Meng Shaoqian was true, but he dared not to bet on it.
After getting back to the hotel, Sheng Youting held the feet of the little chubby Qibao and asked her tentatively, “Qibao, how about daddy and you playing in another city of Jincheng?”
Qibao was unwilling to call Sheng Youting daddy at the beginning. However, time was a good thing. As time went by, she gradually got used to it.
Qibao was now blinking her cute big eyes, “What about mom?”
“Mom will come with us.”
Sheng Youting hadn’t discussed about it with Yu Lan. So hearing the words, Yu Lan rushed out in panic, “No! Qibao can’t go to Jincheng. She has to stay here in Ancheng. It would kill her if she left Ancheng!”
Yu Lan was still with the milk bottle she was brushing on hands. She was about to cry. Sheng Youting was surprised to know that Yu Lan would possibly cry. It was for Qibao...
Sheng Youting smiled broadly, “I’m just kidding with Qibao. There’s no need for you to take it seriously. Recently, I have a project here in Ancheng and the project takes time. I will buy a house in Ancheng for you and Qibao. The air in the hotel is not good enough for kids.”
Yu Lan got relieved hearing his explanations. And so did Sheng Youting. He was happy that Yu Lan didn’t overreact to his suggestion to leave Ancheng.
