Coming from Bavaria this time, Harribell did not bring any precious resources, but she did bring along many rich merchants prepared to look for opportunities in Jaboli and the Magical Beast Territory. Furthermore, she had also brought along a few nobles who were out on holiday.

After crashing into the rocks, seeing that most of the bottom of the ship had sunk into the water and could not be salvaged, the people on the ship decided to release the small wooden boats to escape, all ten of the lifeboats filled with people. While the masters were busy escaping, the servants accompanying them on their journey were lugging baggage, afraid that they would lose precious items such as crystal coins or jewelry.

While this area was not too far away from the shore, there were just too many hidden rocks and currents here. Coupled with the thick fog, even the experienced crew members of the ship had much trouble navigating the area. Fortunately, Yang Ling had arrived in time and had instructed the bats to guide them along.

Chitter...

Under Yang Ling’s instruction, the speedy Vampire Bats flew up and down, charting a safe path for the people amongst the countless hidden rocks and currents.

“Quick, left, charge toward the left!”

“Not possible, there’s a field of granite at the left, we would capsize if we are not careful!”

“Quit your nonsense, follow the bats, quick!”

...

At the start, seeing that the bats would frequently get the boats to charge toward a few pieces of granite or whirlpool, the people were immensely fearful, some even incredibly hesitant. However, after emerging out of the situation safely multiple times, the experienced members of the crew no longer had any doubts. Only a few cowardly merchants or nobles would instinctively protest, or lose their voices in fear.

Under the guidance of the many bats, the little wooden boats shifted from left to right amidst the crashing waves, slowly leaving the region littered with hidden rocks and currents. An hour later, they finally met up with Ashnamov and the rest who had come to receive them, safely reaching the shore.

“Thank you Your Lordship, thanks to your heroic battle pets!”

“Praise these heroic pet genies, if I may, I hope to buy a large batch of these bats for my own fleet of ships. I’ll pay a hundred Purple Crystal Coins for each bat, Your Lordship, what do you think?”

“I’ll pay a hundred and fifty Purple Crystal Coins, I want all of them!”

“I’ll do two hundred...”

...

After freeing themselves from the danger, looking at the ability of accurately detecting the hidden rocks and currents under the ocean that the bats possessed, the intelligent merchants unleashed a bidding war on the beach, hoping to purchase a large batch of them.

Not only did the Tailun Continent have a long coastline, it also had countless rivers, and river transportation was very developed. To several of the larger merchant associations, many of their ships would be sunk after crashing into hidden rocks, costing them a substantial amount of crustal coins. If they could possess a large batch of these bats that they could control at will, they would be able to cut down on much of their unnecessary losses.

These can be sold for money?

Yang Ling shook his head in surprise as he saw the merchants offering high prices for the Vampire Bats by his side the moment they stepped onto shore.

The Vampire Bats were extremely fast and nearly undetectable when they were flying at high speeds. They could be used to collect Magical Beast Blood Essence, as well as made into Self-destructing Bats, bombarding the important targets of his enemies like a cannon. However, he had not thought that these critters could be sold for money.

If one of these small bats could fetch two hundred Purple Crystal Coins, what about a thousand of them, ten thousand of them?

Thinking about the massive Vampire Bat farm within the Wizard Pagoda’s Space, recalling the countless wild Vampire Bats flying around at the Black Water Lake, Yang Ling as if saw jumping Purple Crystal Coins.

“Sirs, welcome to the beautiful Jaboli, however...” Yang Ling was incredibly excited, but pretended to be put in a spot, “These Vampire Bats are different from ordinary bats. You have to tame them with a special method before you can instruct them at will and use them to their fullest potential. If you indeed fancy these bats, I can give each of you one as a gift. But if you want to purchase them in bulk, two hundred Purple Crystal Coins might be too...”

These people who were able to come on the same ship as Harribell were definitely not an average small merchant or noble. Since they had such a demand for these bats, only a fool would not extort them!

“Your Lordship, two hundred and fifty Purple Crystal Coins each, how many of them do you have left, sell them all to me!” Yang Ling had just said this when a plump merchant took the initiative, not even bothering to change out of his drenched clothes.

“Other than scouting the roads, these bats can even detect how good the interior structure of your weapons are after they are trained. They could even check if a building is sturdy or not!” Looking at the merchants engaged in a bidding war around him, Yang Ling smiled, once again whetting their appetite. He summoned a bat, then elaborated on the advantages of this little creature.

Just like the bats on earth, these Vampire Bats mainly used echolocation to determine the distance and size of the obstacles. Using these characteristics, one could train the bats to detect the hidden rocks and currents under the ocean, as well as the structural integrity of a bunch of weapons, or whether or not there were cracks within an object...

In order to make it more convincing, Yang Ling ordered Orlando who had arrived quickly to bring over a wooden club, then instructed a bat to observe the interior of the wooden club. After going over the middle of the club several times, the little creature let out a strange, loud cry.

“Sirs, hear that, when the little creature detects anything strange, it would let out a loud shriek. Now let’s see what’s different at this position of the club!”

After making a marking on the position where the bat was hovering around, Yang Ling slowly dug into the club using his sharp Blood Elf Dagger. Soon, the people realized that within what was supposed to be a solid wooden club was a small hole that had been bitten off by insects.

“My god, that’s miraculous! Two hundred and fifty, no, three hundred Purple Crystal Coins, I want all of these bats!”

“Three hundred and fifty...”

...

Having personally witnessed the ability of these bats, the merchants saw their inherent value, instantly erupting in commotion, engaging in a bidding war. A few of the nobles who had come on holiday joined in the fanfare, prepared to buy a few back as pets. They could bring them out to boast when they returned to Bavaria. It was much better than just stringing along a servant.

“Sirs, I currently only have two hundred trained bats with me, highest bidder wins. Those who truly need it can first place a deposit. I’ll get the Beast Taming Ground under the Hunter Association to send over a batch as soon as possible.”

After a pause, seeing the wide-eyed merchants around him, Yang Ling said, “However, cultivating a passable bat requires a large amount of time and energy, thus the price at the moment can only act as a point of reference. Of course, since all of you are friends of Miss Harribell, I’ll give your requirements priority. If you do not have enough to place a deposit, you can make up for it later!”

Precious objects like these would still hold their value in the future!

Even though he had a substantial amount of Vampire Bats within the Wizard Pagoda’s Space, Yang Ling was not going to sell them all at once. For one, the merchants might not have brought that many crystal coins to buy all of the Vampire Bats; More importantly, Yang Ling had sensitively discovered a massive business opportunity and was prepared to develop it well. He was going to come up with a plan, in case he foiled the opportunity.

All this while, he had been treating the Magical Beasts as his war machines, putting all of his effort in creating a powerful Magical Beast Army and not noticing their various smaller abilities. However, now that he realized that even the bats could be sold for a large amount of crystal coins, he started to think about the commodifying of Magical Beasts, and how he could bring them closer to the masses, and even how to transform them into pets.

There were countless low-level Magical Beasts within the Terras Forest, Ladak Mountain Range and Amazon Forest. While they might not be too useful on the battlefield, almost every low-level Magical Beast had various abilities unique to them. If he could fully utilize their abilities, such as instructing the bats to scout the way, the scorpions to dig into underground mines... Then he would be able to fully make use of the resources and specialty of the Magical Beast Territory.

It was the easiest to earn money from women and children. This logic holds true on Earth, and it would not change here!

Taming a bunch of fluffy Peaga Bears, capturing a batch of cute Siberian Snow Rabbits or catching a cluster of Nine-tailed Goldfish and selling them out as tamed pets would definitely attract a following amongst the rich and noble, building up the brand of the Magical Beast Territory. It might even more profitable than a batch of high grade magical staff that they had to spend much effort in creating.

Furthermore, promoting the various abilities of the Magical Beasts would naturally require a large number of hunters to catch them. He would also need a substantial number of Beast Tamers, trainers and even professional personnel to control the Magical Beasts... All of these could be undertaken by the hunters in the Hunter Association after they undergo training.

That meant that the commodifying and mass distribution of Magical Beasts would also boost the accelerated development of the Hunter Association, strengthening his faction, bringing the Magical Beast Territory with direct and indirect benefits.

After selling two hundred bats at five hundred Purple Crystal Coins each and obtaining a large amount of crystal coins, Yang Ling left quickly with Harribell, prepared to discuss with this capable lady on the specifics of how to sell these little pet genies and commodifying Magical Beasts.

If everything was successful, this was clearly a huge pie that promised an alarming amount of profit. With the current strength, connections and relationships the Magical Beast Territory had, it was hard for them to swallow this pie all by themselves. Rather than divert a large amount of resources to the troublesome matters such as promotion and establishing connections, he might as well choose to cooperate with a few larger merchant associations, then focus his efforts in the core areas such as capturing, taming and training the Magical Beasts.

If that is the case, amongst all of the major merchant associations, the Boulade Merchant Association under Harribell that had businesses all over the continent was undoubtedly the best choice!

“Harribell, go change your clothes first, don’t catch a cold!” After walking a few steps, seeing Harribell’s drenched clothes and pale complexion, Yang Ling quickly took out a jacket from his Space Ring and draped it over her.

Her wet hair draped messily over her shoulder, her white dress complete drenched, revealing her petite figure. Water was dripping from her wet clothes, her dress hugging tightly on her fair skin, making her look as elegant as a water hibiscus.

Seeing that Yang Ling was staring at herself, the drenched Harribell blushed, hugging the jacket around her tightly, then left quickly under the guidance of a servant. Thinking about Yang Ling’s naked gaze, her heart thumped wildly as she felt a strange sensation.
