Live Streaming: Great Adventure in the Wilderness

Chapter 186: History Changes from Today (Please Subscribe)

In the live stream, the tiny figure dodged lightning, flapping its wings hard to fly through a gap in the clouds.

The speck became larger and larger as it approached—it was Amu.

It hadn’t given up; it was chasing the plane!

Étienne shouted excitedly, “Amu! Amu!”

Bi Fang quickly turned the plane around to meet it.

The sun spread out endlessly, rumbles of black clouds gathering in a dark hole, heavy and leaden. Golden rays spiraled in the profound darkness, as if lightning burst through the dark, the light coming from behind Bi Fang, highlighting the approaching Barnacle Goose.

The Barnacle Goose, using all its strength, hurled itself towards the plane, and after joining the flock, Amu flew for a while before plummeting straight down, having exhausted its final bit of energy after breaking through the storm. It could no longer fly.

But in the next second, a pair of large hands cradled it.

Bi Fang held the Barnacle Goose, silent for a long time. Even through the thick feathers, he could feel the goose’s heart beating fiercely. And as if it understood human nature or by sheer coincidence, Amu fluttered its wings twice and unconsciously pecked gently at Bi Fang’s fingertips.

“OMG, OMG, AMAZING!”

Matthew Hall knelt on the ground, eyes brimming with tears, repeating it over and over again.

Perhaps it was because of his profession—Matthew was a journalist for the Global Times. He had been to war zones, witnessed the cruelty of death, and been to forests, witnessed the beauty of nature—but he swore on his career that this scene was one of the most moving images of his life.

The moment he saw Amu break through the lightning and fly towards them, a tidal wave of emotion surged from the deepest part of his heart, as if it would engulf the entire world.

Black clouds, lightning, birds, a young man, an adventurer.

Nature and life interwoven to create this unrepeatable miracle.

Matthew wiped his burning tears, opened a document; he wanted to record this scene, but staring at the blank document, he couldn’t write anything. All words seemed pale in comparison; it was a sight beyond human description.

Yet the overwhelming emotions tormented Matthew, and his restless heart couldn’t help but start typing. He wanted to skip the introduction and the process and head straight to the conclusion, the words filled with volcanic emotion and hot tears.

In the end, looking at what he had written, Matthew remained silent and deleted everything, instead placing a screenshot from the live stream above and titling it simply: Miracle.

This was a miracle of nature and life, and it should not be adulterated with any subjective words.

The staff members behind the scenes, too, were touched by the scene. With almost no editing, they took the image directly and replaced the homepage photo with it.

It was a magnificent scene beyond any artist’s imagination, with golden clouds flowing like an ocean, planes soaring, geese flocking together toward hope and light.

Breathtaking!

Étienne gently stroked Amu’s feathers, overjoyed by the recovery.

The black clouds gradually receded, and Bi Fang breathed a sigh of relief.

Passing through the gap in the clouds was like entering another world—a light, vast sea of golden clouds stretched infinitely. Bi Fang reached out to touch it, but could grasp nothing, leaving only trails where his hand swiped through the clouds.

The invisible clouds flowed through his fingers.

[Ah, it’s so beautiful, so beautiful!]

[That’s what a live stream is, this is a fucking live stream!]

[Just now my mom called me to study, but ended up sitting down to watch it with me.]

[Another day of using screenshots as wallpapers]

“It’s so good, so good.”

Elvan clutched his chest, gasping for breath. According to his planned journey, the North Sea was the hardest hurdle; from there, it would be on to Denmark and Germany.

A decrease in latitude also signified a rise in temperature. As long as the blood test report came out, everything would start moving in a positive direction.

“How long until the report comes out?”

“About two or three days.”

Lenin calculated the time it took to send the blood samples and arrived at an approximate timing.

The report was conducted by a third-party authoritative institution. Even if Johnny didn’t accept it, there would be a buffer, and whether or not Johnny agreed, the park would definitely retest.

“Damn, why are you crying?”

Startled, Lenin wondered what had happened. He was watching the live feed when he suddenly noticed Elvan wiping tears and quickly handed him several tissues.

“No, it’s nothing.”

Elvan dabbed his eyes, signaling he was alright, but at that moment, no one could understand the excitement and exhilaration he felt inside.

His colleagues saw him as a fool, a blockhead, an incurable daydreamer, but the facts proved that his plan was viable!

Bi Fang executed the plan and mastered it. The white-fronted goose, this endangered species, could truly be saved by human intervention.

What if he was a fool?

It was these fools who managed to do what everyone else dared not do, dared not even think about!

They were the pioneers, the creators of history! History would be changed from this day forth!

Bi Fang took off his windbreaker, as the weather had visibly become warmer.

The smoked fish and meat were soaked by the rain, and they needed to be smoked again over a fire to prevent mold, as hunting conditions would not be as favorable further on.

The North Sea fisheries, the reindeer of Finland, these were hunting spots that could hardly be asked for. Beyond this point, even large animals became scarce.

After landing the plane on the small island, Étienne’s legs buckled and he nearly fell as he disembarked. He hadn’t felt anything while seated, but his legs had turned to jelly once the plane landed.

He staggered a few steps before sitting down with a thud on the sandy beach, staring vacantly into the sky.

Étienne swore this was the most thrilling moment of his life, with adrenaline off the charts, scarier than any roller coaster ride – this could really kill a person!

[Hahaha, jelly legs]

[No kidding, I’d be the same, only Master Fang acts like nothing’s wrong, I have reason to suspect he’s not even human!]

[I’m about to puke just from watching the camera, let alone being directly on it]

Bi Fang went to the shore, wrung out his rain-soaked clothes, and took his spear, hoping to find something good.

He chose not to dive. Although the temperature was above freezing, diving would be too cold, and Bi Fang did not want to catch a cold again.

However, despite searching for a while, he only found some small crabs.

“It seems our good luck has run out.”

Bi Fang wasn’t discouraged; after all, there was enough food for over a week, so there was no need to panic.

He approached the fire and found that all the geese had their heads tucked into their feathers.

“It looks like the geese are very tired; them tucking their heads into their feathers indicates they are sleeping. Moreover, geese are very vigilant birds. Before they sleep collectively, the lead goose must assign a sharp goose as the sentinel, who will squawk loudly at any sign of disturbance, rapidly awakening the others from sleep.”

“Look, that one there is doing just that.”

The camera followed Bi Fang’s finger, and the audience indeed saw a white-fronted goose that was not sleeping but looking around vigilantly.

“This is good news, it means they can adapt to life in the wild.”

Bi Fang smiled, assured that everything they had done was meaningful. These eighteen geese were just the beginning. In the future, they would breed many more, growing from a dozen to dozens, and then to hundreds. Perhaps in a few years, they would see vast flocks of geese following the migration route they had now established, migrating all the way from spring to winter, year after year.

In the evening, the geese woke up one after another, refreshed after an afternoon’s rest.

Bi Fang, seeing a clear sky with no clouds, felt they could travel at night.

According to the map, they had completed less than a third of their journey, which made Bi Fang somewhat anxious.
