Leveling Up With My Pet

Chapter 182 I' M A Sport Superstar

Amid the commotion, some secretly suspected Chen Hu hadn't run away. The experts, however, could discern that Chen Hu hadn't merely rushed forward but had responded with remarkable agility.

As the spectators gasped in amazement, some exclaimed, "Damn, he's so fast!" while others remarked, "My eyes aren't playing tricks on me, he really is that quick!"

Chen Hu's lightning-quick speed left everyone dumbfounded. Even the most renowned sprinter would need help to match his pace.

Before many could react, Chen Hu had already sprinted past the finish line, leaving the crowd in disbelief. Yan Jiazhi was overcome with excitement once again.

It felt like a dream come true. Moments earlier, Chen Hu had broken the world record in the 100-meter dash with an astonishing time of 9.500 seconds.

And now, he had broken the form again with 18.99 seconds in the 200-meter race.

The disbelief and shock of the spectators were palpable as they watched Chen Hu perform this incredible feat. The current men's 200-meter world record stood at 19.19 seconds, but Chen Hu had managed to outdo it by a remarkable 0.2 seconds.

Suddenly, the crowd's noise was silenced as they processed what they had just witnessed.

As the silence lingered for a few seconds, the atmosphere was suddenly filled with cheers and astonishment. The noise level in the vicinity increased dramatically as the spectators were overwhelmed with excitement and delight.

"It's hard to believe that someone could run under 19 seconds," exclaimed one of the onlookers, amazed at what they had just witnessed.

"I didn't see it with my own eyes, and I didn't believe it,"

Admitted another, still in shock at the incredible feat.

Yan Jiazhi, taking a deep breath, arranged for Chen Hu to undertake a 400-meter test, and to everyone's amazement, he quickly broke the world record, clocking in at 42 seconds and 45 milliseconds. This was a remarkable achievement, considering the current world record was 43.03 seconds.

Chen Hu went on to test his abilities in several other events, such as the long jump, shot put, and javelin, and to everyone's surprise, he broke the world record in each of them.

Yan Jiazhi was thrilled with the results but knew he had to keep this news under wraps. He issued a strict gag order to the Sports Bureau, warning them against disclosing what happened that day. Failure to comply with the order would result in severe punishment.

Once Yan Jiazhi had politely seen off Liu Yong and Chen Hu, he booked a plane ticket to the capital, realizing the gravity of the situation. He knew he had to inform Zhu Jinming of the events that had unfolded in person rather than over the phone.

The following day, Yan Jiazhi wasted no time meeting with his friend Zhu Jinming to share important news.

Zhu Jinming was taken aback when he saw Yan Jiazhi in person and questioned the purpose of his visit. Yan Jiazhi handed over a test report, urging Zhu Jinming to look at it first.

Zhu Jinming, still somewhat skeptical, received the report with reservations. He assumed that Chen Hu's track and field performance was good and his results were relatively impressive.

However, as he began to examine the report, his face became full of surprise and disbelief. "This is unbelievable," he exclaimed, "Old Yan, every item has broken the world record!"

Yan Jiazhi smiled, acknowledging his disbelief, but assured him that the data was accurate. He explained that the Sports Bureau had used the most advanced testing equipment and the most experienced coaches to guarantee the authenticity of the results.

Zhu Jinming was stunned by the news. As someone in weightlifting, he also hoped to achieve outstanding results in other sports. He scrutinized the report repeatedly before eventually regaining his composure.

"Let's go," he said to Yan Jiazhi, "we have to go and surprise Lao Jiang with this news. Let's ask him to treat us to lunch."

The two left the weightlifting centre and headed towards the National Track and Field Center.

On the training ground, a group of athletes underwent intense training sessions while the head coach, Jiang Xiang, monitored their progress.

Dressed in his coach uniform and sporting a large pair of sunglasses, Jiang Xiang exuded an air of authority and intensity that was palpable.

Anyone who looked closely enough could gauge his mood from the expression in his eyes, even though they were concealed behind his shades - and the current mood was anything but relaxed.

With the IAAF Diamond League coming up in just a month, Jiang Xiang faced the daunting task of selecting athletes to represent his team. However, there needed to be more standout athletes, and the coach hesitated to set his hopes too high.

Nevertheless, he firmly believed in giving everyone a chance to show their potential - a principle he lived by.

Suddenly, Jiang Xiang was interrupted by Zhu Jinming, who greeted him enthusiastically from afar.

After exchanging pleasantries, Zhu Jinming introduced Yan Jiazhi and proceeded to drop a bombshell: a sports prodigy had been discovered who was initially slated for the weightlifting team but had shown even more tremendous potential in track and field.

Yan Jiazhi provided Jiang Xiang with the test results that confirmed the young athlete's extraordinary abilities.

Jiang Xiang was stunned and in disbelief - could it be possible that this person could break world records in every event?

As Jiang Xiang questioned the authenticity of the test data, Yan Jiazhi assured him that the results were indeed accurate and reliable.

Jiang Xiang was filled with renewed energy and drove as the prospect of adding this talented individual to his team suddenly made the future look brighter.

He eagerly awaited the opportunity to work with this budding sports superstar.

Zhu Jinming then suggested that Jiang Xiang treat them all to something special to celebrate the news. Jiang Xiang was curious about the occasion and asked Zhu Jinming to explain further.

"We found a sports genius who was originally intended to be recruited into our weightlifting team, but he is more athletic in track and field. I entrusted Lao Yan to conduct a series of tests on him. His test report," Zhu Jinming explained.

After receiving the report, Jiang Xiang looked through it carefully, and soon, his face was shocked.

"Is there really such a person who can break the world record in every event?" Jiang Xiang asked incredulously.

Yan Jiazhi replied, "Yes, if I didn't arrange the test myself, I wouldn't believe it. It's like a dream."

Jiang Xiang's expression turned serious as he asked, "Director Yan, this matter is not a joke. Are these test data true and reliable?"

"Absolutely true and reliable, I can vouch for it," Yan Jiazhi reassured him.

Jiang Xiang couldn't contain his laughter, and his eyes were teary as he realized that his dream of winning a gold medal in the international arena could finally come true. "I can't believe it. My dream is finally coming true," he exclaimed.

"Not only sprinting but also other events can win gold medals and break world records!"

Wiping his wet eyes, Jiang Xiang got up with the test report and said, "Sit down here, both of you, and I will report this matter to the leadership of the General Administration."

After speaking, he strode out.

Not surprisingly, Chen Hu received the notice soon and responded to the call, preparing to report to the track and field team. Before leaving, he came to Liu Yong to say goodbye.

"Boss, I'm going to the capital," Chen Hu said.

Liu Yong was thrilled and patted him on the shoulder lightly.

"Train well after joining the track and field team, and bring back a few more gold medals, don't embarrass me."

"Don't worry, boss, I will definitely win glory for you, and I will tell everyone with my results that your driver can also win the gold medal and break the world record," Chen Hu assured him.

After chatting for a few words, Chen Hu said,

"Boss, I'm going to the track and field team for the time being. It must be a year or so. You can't live without a driver and a bodyguard. I have two comrades in arms. They are all good. You see."

Liu Yong waved his hand and said, "You tell them to come and report. The salary will be no less than 50,000 yuan per month, and various rewards will not be less."

Chen Hu was grateful and thanked Liu Yong on behalf of his two comrades-in-arms. "Thank you so much, Boss. I really appreciate it," he said.
