Hiro was teleported out of the dungeon forcibly after he finished getting the drop.
After re-checking his inventory, at least he still had one item that could be sold. That was the bandit’s hairband. He immediately installed the object in the auction sales system through the HUD without having to log out first.
[Waiting for bidders (6 hours remaining)]
Hiro still hoped to get the main rarest drop from the bandit dungeon before he was level 31 and couldn’t access the dungeon again.
At least it could be sold at a high price.
The next daily quest was the battle arena. And this quest could be taken by talking to the standby NPC in the training area on each map.
For the Beginner Town map, Hiro had met the NPC before, NPC Fred who gave him a heat resistance skill. He rushed to the NPC Fred place without depending on the GPS system because he already remembered where the coordinate location of the NPC is.
When he is already close to the NPC Fred, the man who stayed in the training area of Beginner town, Hiro still has time to re-check the friend request status that he sent to Liberty.
But—
“Libe, she still hasn’t accepted my friend request.” Hiro closed his friend list again with disappointment clearly shown on his face.
He was starting to worry now, what if he couldn’t see that girl again and he would never be able to confess his feelings for her?
“Huft…why didn’t I just say it that night!” Hiro felt sorry for himself. But he tried to vent his frustration in the battle arena.
“Hello, Player NightFall. What can I do for you?” NPC Fred greeted Hiro’s presence.
A notification suddenly popped out in front of Hiro. It has two options.
[Entering battle arena (3x attempts remaining)]
[Just Say, Hi!]
Hiro chose the first option and once again, NPC Fred told the details of the rules in the battle arena.
Even though Hiro had read it before, he couldn’t skip NPC Fred’s explanation and had to hear it.
In the daily quest of battle arena, Hiro could choose enemies to fight. The enemy was a clone of the player who was on the same server with him.
The clone has the exact same power as the real one. However, they were moved by artificial intelligence and not by real humans. So, normally people claimed these clones as bots.
Some information about the bots can be seen by the player before they choose the enemy for a battle. The information included:
[Player name]
[Player level]
[Job class]
[Title]
[Battle Rating]
The rest were kept secret.
But, if the player chooses an enemy with the higher Battle rating, the points that the player would obtain after winning the battle would be high too.
Similar to daily dungeons, battle arenas also required a lot of points to get the top 3 of the battle arena server records that will be reset every week. The rewards were:
[Top 1 (Special Title ‘Duke’ for 7 days) (+3,000 LSC)]
[Top 2 (Special Title ‘Marquess’ for 7 days) (+1,500 LSC)]
[Top 3 (Special Title ‘Earl’ for 7 days) (+1,000 LSC)]
There were only 3 attempts to challenge clone players in battle arenas controlled by the system or called as VS AI.
If you lose, the points would be deducted at the same amount that you would get if you win. So, if you never win in this battle arena, it could be possible to get minus points after it reset next week.
Finally, NPC Fred has finished the explanation of battle arena rules.
At that moment, NPC Fred snapped his fingers and poof–
Hiro was teleported to a training area which was a mini-stadium with empty land the size of an international futsal field with a diameter of 40 meters x 20 meters.
He didn’t have time to examine the whole mini-stadium where he stood right now because suddenly, a transparent panel appeared in front of him.
On the first page, there were 5 choices of clone players that could be fought in the battle. But, if you don’t want to fight with one of them, there was a special refresh button to change the list.
The player should pay at least 100 LSC to refresh the page, but the price will be increasing when the player continuously hits the refresh button..
At that time, Hiro’s eyes widened when he saw the names of the players along with the profile photos from their accounts on the first page of the panel in front of him.
[Level 17. Liberty. Ranger. Queen of The North]
[Battle rating 6,870]
[Defeat to get 100 battle points]
Hiro forgot to blink his eyes for a few seconds after seeing the first number of enemy information on the first page of the battle arena quest.
“Libe?”
What made Hiro unable to believe that the girl in the panel page was the same as the girl he was looking for, was her current level. It was obviously higher than 90% of the list players on the server.
How could an innocent girl who didn’t even know what weapons she could use suddenly turn into an above-average player? Had she been just acting like a newbie in front of Hiro all this time?
Ah— there’s no way she would do that to him, Liberty wasn’t that kind of girl. Her soul was very pure and Hiro believed what he saw in her.
However, with the information on Liberty’s clone avatar provided by the battle arena, Hiro knew that something had happened to her. And maybe because the girl was busy raising the level and battle rating, she didn’t even have time to accept Hiro’s friend request.
To be honest, it was all Hiro’s assumption to amuse himself. In fact, he was still confused by Liberty’s last reaction since awakening from his long slumber that time.
Under Liberty’s avatar, there was only the identity of other players Hiro had never seen before. And they were still at levels 13-15.
Defeating them only gave battle points of 50-70 points.
Hiro didn’t want to fight Liberty at this moment, but he still needed to get the highest battle points. So, he decided to refresh the page using his 100 LSC.
[100 LSC has been consumed]
On the next page, he didn’t see Liberty’s avatar anymore. He was a little grateful for that.
There were two players with the level of 17 on the second page, defeating both of them could give Hiro 200 battle points in total.
And yes, he found worthy enemies.
