After being dispirited for a moment, Albion quickly recovered with a shake of his head before turning to the third subordinate in line.

"Introduce yourself," Albion stated.

"Yes, my lord!" The middle-aged man with grey hair complied and said, "My name is Roderick Patrick. I was the mayor of this stronghold until the wolf-people slaughtered the majority of its residents and took over."

"The mayor, huh?"

Albion studied the third subordinate more carefully, not expecting a government official to be among the ranks of people who chose to pledge allegiance to him.

After pausing for a moment, Albion casually inquired, "What was the rough population of this stronghold before the attack?"

"Before we were attacked, Stronghold 01 was home to roughly 5000 people, my lord," Roderick Patrick.

"I see. Only 100 out of 5000 people were kept as prisoners, huh?" Albion muttered.

At the same time, Fenriri and Fenrira's expression changed abruptly after hearing the human death count before they directed their gaze at Albion, fearing he would be angered by the loss of many human lives.

However, Albion's expression remained indifferent as if he had just heard another piece of ordinary news.

It did not concern him.

Shortly after, Albion turned to the fourth subordinate and stated impassively, "Your turn."

"Master, you're not mad about the Iceborn Wolf Tribe killing so many humans?" Fenriri asked carefully with concern before the fourth subordinate could speak.

A total of six strongholds were captured by the Iceborn Wolf Tribe.

If each stronghold had a similar count of residents, it would mean that Iceborn Wolf Tribe had slaughtered nearly 30-thousand people from the human race.

Fenriri nor Fenrira would not have remained indifferent if the roles were reversed and had 30-thousand of their tribesmen slaughtered by humans.

No, they would have been furious instead.

"Why should I be?" Albion responded expressionlessly before calmly saying, "These people have nothing to do with me, and it has already happened. So what's the use of being bothered by it?"

"The world had 7-billion people before the visit of other races, and just two out of nearly 200 countries occupies half that population. A lot of people had indeed died on the Glacia continent, but many people die of various reasons every day."

"Despite this, the global population continues to grow with each passing year while depleting the world's resources. So it doesn't matter if humans depopulate a bit," Albion stated before shrugging nonchalantly, "After all, we breed like rabbits."

"If not for the weakness of the human body being prone to many diseases and people doing stupid sh*t all the time, we would have already overpopulated the planet."

Fenriri and Fenrira stood frozen on the spot like blocks of wood as if they had just received a great shock.

"S-Seven billion people?" Fenrira repeated with disbelief before mentioning, "Even though our Iceborn Wolf Tribe practice polygamy, our population only amount to a few hundred thousand people…"

"Master, is there some sort of secret to reaching such a large population count?" Fenriri asked curiously before mentioning, "It's very difficult for our Iceborn Wolf Tribe's population to grow any large than it already is."

"Didn't you mention 1 in 4 newborns die due to the harsh environment? If you eliminate the danger factor, your tribe will populate quickly. I believe you already know this, but I suppose you are seeking a different answer."

After Albion gave her the side-eye, he shrugged and said, "Well, generally humans are very horny people, coupled with their love for alcohol, wonders happen."

"Then, are you also a horny person, Master?" Fenriri asked with a mischievous smile as if she had purposely lured him into a trap to ask such a question.

Fenrira pretended to glance away, but she perked her ears, readily and eagerly, to listen in on Albion's answer.

Nevertheless, Albion saw it coming but did not care.

The question might have stumped his old self as he would consider whether the people would embarrass, humiliate, or make fun of him, but such concerns and pressure no longer exists.

"I see you have already grown familiar enough to start playing tricks on your master, huh?" Albion ruffled Fenriri's hair roughly with a playful admonishing tone before admitting boldly, "That's right. I am also a horny person."

"Eh~? Fenriri doesn't see it, though."

Fenriri tilted her head with a pondering look while Fenrira gazed at him doubtfully before Albion explained, "That's because I have extraordinary self-control in this regard."

"Master doesn't Fenriri the impression of someone with extraordinary self-control, thought." Fenriri continued to doubt before saying, "How can Master have self-control if Master just does whatever Master wants to do?"

"This and that are two different matters," Albion smiled wryly before gesturing to himself with a pompous attitude, "Believe it or not, you're both looking at the body of a ten-thousand-year-old virgin grandpappy."

"…"

The two wolf-girls stared at Albion dumbly.

Shortly after glancing at each other's doubts, they turned back to him and responded defiantly, "We really don't believe it!"

"Alright, that's enough," Albion waved his hand and said, "It's up to you whether you believe it or not. Now, go organize your wolf-people into ranks. We will start subjugating each stronghold one by one until we reach your uncle sometime later."

"Yes, Master!"

Shortly after Fenriri and Fenrira left, Albion turned back to the five subordinates and muttered, "Now, where were we?"

"Ah, yes." Albion quickly recalled before gesturing to the fourth subordinate, "Continue."

The last two subordinates soon did their introduction before Albion realized each one of them had an area of expertise.

Francis was a biogenetic researcher, Charlie was a weapon crafter, Roderick was a stronghold manager, and the last two; Jeffrey, who was a mechanic, and Sonya, a medical expert.

"I'm quite curious," Albion uttered while looking at them before asking, "Why did you choose to pledge your allegiance to me instead of exchanging your wealth to leave like the rest of the hunters?"

"My lord must be joking," Roderick Patrick smiled wryly before he said, "Although you gave us two options, in truth, there was only one to pick."

"Right. One is the road to life, and the other is the road to death," Sonya added.

Albion cracked a slight smile before he nonchalantly shrugged, "Well, what can I say? The Apocalypse will be about making life or death choices."
