Blackshore Caverns

On the outskirts, northeast of Stillwater City, by the rocky shores and steep cliffs, Boss Benedict arrived with his men after parking their vehicles offroad in a remote location roughly 1.2km away and walking the rest of the way.

The group quickly found the opening in the rocky wall at the foot of the steep cliff before they entered, following the narrow passageway down into a large open space.

Darkness filled the cavern, but small strips of light partially illuminated the area, revealing numerous stalagmites and stalactites, along with running water flowing deeper within.

"This place is spooky as always."

"Yeah, it always giving off bad vibes."

The thugs commented.

"Enough," Boss Benedict hushed before saying, "We're nearly there. Turn on the torchlights."

"Yes, Boss Benedict."

Shortly after, a few beams of strong light illuminated the darker end of the caverns, revealing another narrow passageway that leads even deeper into the earth.

The Bloodmoon Gang followed the path for some time before the passageway widened, but at the same time, cut off by a steel gate guarded by people in hazmat suits ahead.

"Boss Benedict."

"Un."

After acknowledging the people's greeting, Boss Benedict proceeded with the authentication process and wore into their own set of hazmat suits provided at the steel gate before passing through the gate.

Soft green lights were immediately revealed on the other side of the steel gate, followed by strange plants and vegetation foreign to the world growing everywhere.

"Ah, a rare guest. You're here, Mr. William," a middle-aged man greeted before saying, "Or should I call you Boss Benedict?"

"There are no outsiders here, Mr. Luther. Call as you will," William Seymour shook his head and inquiring, "How goes the research on the Crevasse?"

"As you can see, it grows bigger day by day," Luther Krebs gestured to the grand spectacle ahead of them.

An enormous split in the ground could be seen inside the vast underground space. From time to time, stalactites broke off from the ceiling before sinking into its unfathomable deep dark depth.

Glowing green vegetation grew out on both sides of the crevasse and spread its roots and vines everywhere while an endless spawn of strange insects used it to crawl out from the giant crack.

Several teams of men in hazmat suits rotated to capture the insects locked them behind reinforced cages.

An attack group focused on killing the insects, spilling their corrosive green blood as they gain minuscule amounts of EXP from them before another group collected the corrosive green blood for various purposes besides research.

"Oh, right. I've heard from my men that some government officials from Stillwater have been snooping the vicinity recently," Luther Krebs mentioned.

"If they continue, I will get rid of them," William Seymour nodded before stating firmly, "No one besides us must find out about this Underground Dimensional Rift."

"This isn't a Dimensional Rift. I used to think that as well, but not anymore," Luther Kreb stated seriously.

"It's not?" William Seymour was startled before asking with a frown, "What have you find out, Mr. Luther?"

"A Dimensional Rift acts as a portal that connects two different points in space together and allows for interdimensional travel, while the Crevasse is a direct tear in the illusory dimensional wall that separates the dimensions apart," Luther Krebs explained.

Seeing William Seymour was dumbfounded with a look of incomprehensibility, Luther Krebs continued to explain, "Let us put it this way; the world, as a whole, is made up of many layers we call dimensions—whether its horizontal or vertical layers."

"In truth, there is no such thing as horizontal layers or vertical layers, but for the sake of explaining, I am using them to make it easier for you to understand."

"Got it," William Seymour nodded before gesturing to Luther Krebs with a solemn look, "Continue."

"Between these countless layers, an invisible wall exists to separate the layers. Dimensional Wall, Spatial Wall, The Barrier, whatever you want to call it—the Dimensional Rift is like poking a hole in this wall to connect two layers."

"The Crevasse, like the one we see here, is when that wall disappears completely as if it did not exist, to begin with, causing the two world layers to merge and become one—whether this world swallows the other world to do so or vice versa," Luther Krebs explained.

"Yooo—isn't that like some serious shit?" William Seymour exclaimed with surprise.

However, his surprise quickly died down with a shrug before he nonchalantly said, "Well, it doesn't matter if we are strong enough to survive through it."

"Right," Luther Krebs agreed before asking, "And the reason for your visit?"

"I need to kill all the insects we captured in reserve for a quick power-up," William Seymour stated his purpose.

"You want all of them?" Luther Krebs repeated before musing with a smile, "Seems like the Bloodmoon Gang hasn't been doing well in recent days. Maybe I should reconsider our cooperation."

"Hmph, even if the Bloodmoon Gang doesn't do well, the Krebs family won't be better off without us," William Seymour snorted.

Luther Kreb's gaze quickly narrowed and flickered with a green hue before muttering, "Well, I don't know about that."

Silvercove Beach, East Harmony Hotel

On the adjacent building across the streets from the block with Eastern Allure buildings, the Bloodmoon Gang's reinforcement finished the other family's hunters from the place.

"Lion King! Your assistance is timely and most welcomed," the Bear King expressed his gratitude with an exhausted look.

"Don't worry about it," the Lion King waved his hand nonchalantly before speaking arrogantly, "Now that I am, naturally, you will all be safe. Before I take you all away, I will also help you take care of these weak hunters."

"Still, I don't know what poison this is, but it's unbelievable that you are all struggling to deal with a bunch of weakened hunters. You're embarrassing our Bloodmoon Gang, Bear King," the Lion King snorted before stating overbearingly, "Watch how I do things—"

Puchi!

A wild flying rock suddenly through the glass window and pierced straight through the Lion King's head before continuing to smashing through several sturdy pillars and disintegrate into dust.

The Lion King's words paused abruptly before the person drop dead on the ground and caused the Bear King to stagger back with a horrid look.

"Oh, f*ck!"

Boom, headshot.

On the auction house rooftop, Albion blew on his pistol—index finger before muttering nonchalantly, "I'm watching."
