" Sami?"
" Hmm."
" Do you ever think about girls?" Mayra asked.
" You mean romantically? Not really." Samuel replied plainly. He had plenty of problems in his hand, and he couldn't afford to handle more. Especially not when he had four beauties on his tail!
" But you always help me when I ask about their measurements. Don't we always ogle at them sitting here like this?" Mayra teased.
" That's because you keep pestering me! My keen eye is not for your perverted amusement! Don't lump me together with you!" Samuel retorted profusely.
" Why are you shouting? I am just saying. As a friend, can I help you get some school beauties?"
ραΠdαsΝοvεl.cοm " Not interested." Samuel flat-out declined her.
" You know I am a girl-"
" Really? What's the proof? With that messy appearance and that brash voice, I have been told people mistake you for something else?" Samuel chuckled.
" You-"
" You know some people like to cross- Ouch! What you keep doing that?" Samuel exclaimed. Mayra grabbed his arm and bit him.
" I have to show you then!" She jumped at him, pinning him down and staring into his eyes. Her thick glasses made her eyes look extra big, which looked comical, but their resolve was genuine.
" W-what are you doing?" Samuel anticipated what was coming, so he dodged her kiss and flipped her to the ground. But he made a blunder in the heat of the moment; one of his hands was firmly grabbing her chest.
" Ahhh." She moaned as he squeezed them involuntarily.
" Sorry!" He immediately got off of her, but both blushed without talking. Not to let awkwardness linger, Mayra grabbed his head and gave him a proper grinder.
" You rascal! Do you believe me now? Do you like feeling me up?" She tried to play it off.
" I am sorry. It was an accident." Samuel tried to free himself because his face was still touching her chest. He was being careful not to hurt her.
" I don't think so. You have to take responsibility! Who will marry me now?" She teased him some more.
" That's too far! It was only for a second!" Samuel somehow got out of her chokehold.
"hehe, I am only joking. I am not into pretty boys!" She laughed.
" Fine by me! I am not into nerdy girls too!" Samuel fought back.
They started bickering like a married couple before their friends joined them. It was a regular occurrence for them because, since the beginning, their personalities were so different it was hard to see how they became friends in the first place.

...
" Mayra?"
" Took you long enough." She placed the little girl down and gave him a big hug. They were pretty similar in height in the past, but now, Samuel was a lot taller. She could barely reach his face.
" How come you are here?" Samuel returned her hug, and when they separated, he got a closer look at her.
Her skin looked a lot fairer with all the pimples that she had during puberty gone. Her previous skinny frame was nowhere to be seen, and she looked plump with desirable curves. Her black hair, too, looked more refined, resting upon her round face and giving her a dignified look.
She was wearing a long dress with a shawl, probably a cultural influence which, as far as he remembered, she hated. But her most prominent feature was her crystal grey eyes, which were much similar to Samuel's and were fully displayed without her bulky glasses.
" You are visiting my city; how can I not welcome you?" She smiled, exposing two deep dimples on her cheeks. Her hands were on her hips as she said it with complete confidence; it seemed her tomboyish side was alive.
"Ehh.." Suddenly, The little girl hugged Samuel's thigh and gave him a wide smile. She wore a cute white dress, but her natural blonde hair and deep blue eyes were much more striking. Anyone could tell she would grow up to become an unparalleled beauty! She was that cute!
" Young master, It looks like you know them. I will take my leave and ask them to clear a way for you." Pierre came up and said his goodbyes.
" Thank you. I will properly greet you some other day." They parted ways, but the little girl was still hugging him.
Samuel lifted her up in his arms while she made gleeful noises. She appeared to be four or five years old, meaning she was naturally curious.
" Little girl, what is your name? Mayra, is she yours?" Samuel asked. He had already seen the ring on her finger, which meant she was married.
" You can say that, but before that, I want to settle a little beef first!" She finally turned toward Darren, who was trying to erase her presence by making himself smaller.
" W-why are you looking at me like that?" Darren felt her intense glare and hid behind Samuel.
" You punk! You have been ignoring me for years! I finally got a chance to teach you a lesson!" She began chasing him.
" It was not my fault! If you have any disagreement, you can sort it out yourselves. Why are you attacking poor me?" Darren dodged for a while, but he couldn't run away forever.
Darren was a tall man, about six foot four, it was hard for her to hurt him in any way, but she could inflict a few scratches while the big man tried to defend. How could she not be mad? She had to learn about Samuel's visit from his social media post! Darren was few of the people who knew how much Mayra tried to contact Samuel over the years.
" Hey! Stop it, you two! You will make her cry!" Samuel shouted from a distance, concerned about the little girl, but she giggled, looking at her mother fighting a 'bear.' She kept clapping her hands, seemingly trying to cheer for her mother.
" I will let it go since I found him. If not, I would have hunted you down to the end of the earth!" Mayra proclaimed after her catfight. She knew Darren wouldn't fight back, so she attacked in the first place. Besides, her anger was totally justified in this scenario!
" Let's head out first. People have begun to stare." Samuel tried to make them leave, but Darren stopped him.
" You guys go first. I have another pressing matter to tend to."
