While the Swedish Embassy was in shambles, on the other side of the pond, Samuel took Princess Sibylla to the Hydrick Hotel. It was close to the airport, and it would be rude to bring her to his home; she might misunderstand his intentions.
Samuel still had the right to use the presidential suite that he successfully won at the charity auction. He might as well use it. He called ahead, and they headed to the hotel with a special car that was sent by the hotel.
Upon their arrival, as expected, Paige was already waiting in the lobby. Samuel was happy to see her, but what kind of expression was she giving him? And why was she staring at Sibylla with those suspicious eyes next to him?
"Her Royal Highness Sibylla? Long time no see. Are you accompanying Samuel?" Paige stepped up to hug Madeleine and asked.
But he had a question mark on his face by Paige's comment, what's the situation? Paige actually knew her?
"Long time no see, Paige," Sibylla responded courteously.
As America's top youngster and Sweden's most favoured Princess, the two goddesses had to have met sometime during social gatherings. It was not surprising, to say the least. Although they didn't have a good relationship, they were at least polite to each other.
"Wait, Paige? What do you mean by your highness?" Samuel was a little confused, so he asked directly.
"You don't know who she is?" Paris retorted with a strange expression.
You fool! You didn't know each other, but you brought her to the hotel! IIs that what come to now? Freedom doesn't mean sleeping with random girls that you find fancy! Paige thought she was fuming with anger.
Seeing Paige's expression, Samuel could clearly tell the little girl was angry! He might have to face some consequences if he doesn't explain himself!
"I don't know," Samuel told Paige everything since they first met. The plan and the daring escape the whole nine yards!
After hearing what he had to say, Paige was also dumbfounded.
Shit, Did Samuel just kidnap a Princess of Europe willingly? My man really has some class! She didn't say it out loud, but she was strangely impressed.
"She is the youngest child of Swedish King Carl XI and Queen Christina, the second princess of Sweden." Paris facepalmed and said helplessly.
"Oh, did I mess up again? I will not be in any trouble, right?" He looked at Paige and then at culprit Sibylla, who had a leisurely expression on her face. It was the first time in his life to get duped this bad, they talked for hours, but somehow she failed to mention anything about her family!
Paige also sneered at him. She was happy as it had become a norm for him to get into unnecessary trouble pertaining to girls. She firmly believed this should teach him a good lesson, not to tease them! It was too late to regret it now!
What can I do now? He thought for a while and, in the end, contacted the Swedish Embassy and Consulate in the United States to inform them about the Princess's exact location and decided to wait for them to send someone to pick her up.
"Sami, I'm hungry. I couldn't eat on the plane!" The instigator of these incidents stared at Samuel with puppy eyes saying her stomach for forming an inward crater!
"Really?" Samuel was speechless for a while. What had he gotten himself in? But he couldn't leave the Princess alone; now, she had become his responsibility until they arrived. He had to pay for his own troubles!
Sibylla stood aside, smiling innocently, while Paige sneered, enjoying the distressed look on Samuel's face. She would definitely have a great time celebrating his misery!
...
...
...
Samuel sighed more than once in the luxurious restaurant inside the Hydrick Hotel, holding his forehead with one hand.
Paige, who was sitting beside him, was constantly looking at his face with a smug smile. What was she so happy about, and why was she here? Was she responsible for attending to every guest like this?
Only the Princess was in the best mood. The second Wellington steak was already in front of her as. She was cutting into it with relish. It was surprising how she managed to stay thin, having such a hefty routine.
"Paige, I have to compliment this Wellington steak; I have to say it tastes very authentic." Sibylla did not forget to praise it when she ate it.
"Hehe, as long as you are satisfied." Paige picked up the wine glass, took a sip of red wine, and continued to squint at Samuel.
"Well, what do you want me to say? Can you stop looking at me like that?" Samuel said helplessly. He didn't want to be held up because of it. He had important matters to attend to but had to be here to appear sincere.
What gave him a headache was that there was no Swedish consulate in LA; thus, there was no fixed time when they would arrive. They would probably arrive the following day as the sun was already falling.
In other words, Samuel became Princess Sibylla's temporary "nanny" at this time. Before they arrived, he had to be responsible for her safety. After all, you took our Princess away. , Isn't it? That was their reasoning, hah.
"Sami, let's go out tonight. I have been dying to enjoy some quality nightlife; I heard LA is very famous for it!" Sibylla suddenly mentioned while fluttering her simple eyes. She was doing it again, was she really naive or faking it because it worked before?
"Don't go, Don't go! Weren't you tired up until now? We should go to bed early and rest." Samuel refused without even thinking for a second.
"Paige, will you take me then?" She turned toward Paige and did the same thing with some extra effort.
"No, I can't be responsible for you." Paige didn't want to take on this monumental task. In fact, she was sure the girl was trouble from what she had seen up until now.
"Is that so? Then I will go by myself." Sibylla was not angry; she proclaimed valiantly that she needed this adventure!
Samuel's expression tanked when he imagined the scenario. If she leveraged him to flee, he couldn't comprehend what would happen if she went out alone at night. With that airhead nature, she would indeed get abducted for real, and then it would all be on his head!
At that moment, Samuel knew what needed to be done. It was hopeless to restrain her so he could look toward Paige for help. He copied Sibylla's miserable expression, and it worked like a charm! It was a cry for help she couldn't refuse even if she wanted to.
"Alright, you should head to your room and freshen up. I will contact you in a few hours." Although she regretted it, she saw the silver lining in Samuel owing him one. He waved her hand irritably with an annoyed face. She contemplated where she should take a Princess?
Royalty and Media stars had different kinds of fame; they needed to be discreet and private if they wanted to have a good time. Who knew what kind of people would run off to them?
While Samuel and Paige were cursing their luck, Sibylla was all smiles. Suddenly she spoke and suggested something.
"Paige, what about a bar? I want to drink the best cocktails in town!" She asked.
Fuck, the three of us are all underage; it would be a disaster if someone caught them, Samuel thought.
"Bar? We have it in our hotel. Do you want to go?" Paige suggested instantly.
"No, I want the best!" She was instantly turned down by the Princess.
Paige started at Samuel, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. She was even angrier looking at Samuel's aloof expression; look at what trouble you had brought in. Now you are leaving it up to me?
Facing Paige's fierce eyes, Samuel could only pretend not to see it. He had to hope for the best at this point. Besides, Paige was a native, so she should know what to do now.
He was right as Paige picked up the phone and made a few calls. Within a few minutes, she had already found a suitable place.
"Okay, done; I have reserved the best bar in the city. You will be satisfied with their service." Paige said irritably toward Sibylla.
"Of course, Paige, I knew you were the best." Sibylla gave her a charming smile. While Samuel wondered if this was her superpower of unique skill that she had inherited from the Royal lineage?
While Sibylla was distracted, Samuel skidded over to Paige to discuss.
"Will it be alright? Was it the same place we went with Darren?" He asked.
"No, I know the owner of this place. It will be fine, I guess." She didn't sound confident.
"This is why your country should rebel against the minimum drinking age; what's the fixation on twenty-one?"
"Shut up!" At least she gave a small chuckle to uplift some of their worries.
