It would be a long night, so everyone decided to get dinner early. It was still an enjoyable meal at the hotel restaurant, even though they chose simple meals.
They had to be fast because everyone had to get their makeup done.
There was not much the crew could do about Samuel's getup; he looked good in everything. Emma, along with other girls, was given priority; they took the most time to be ready.
It was not a real red carpet tonight, so there was no need to wear extravagant attire.
Samuel looked exceptional in his little black suit, which his mother had arranged for him. He didn't want to appear too formal, so there was no tie or anything unnecessarily restricting his movements.
" I knew you would look good in it." Laura popped up in the dressing room.
" Mother? You said you will meet us at the event."
" I can't help myself. I trust them but I was worried something would go wrong."
" You are still not dressed? We don't have much time to spare." Samuel noticed his mother was covered from head to toe, probably hiding her identity.
" It's fine. I am relieved to see you are OK. I will go now." She was gone like the wind. It was fortunate that no one else noticed, but will she be able to make it?
The ceremony officially would start at 8 p.m. The production crew arranged for a sweet deal with a large automobile company to sponsor their ride to the venue. It was in the top three car sales, and they happily agreed to the deal. Such exposure was not a daily deal.
Director Columbus' popularity could have been higher. Still, with the addition of a competent Producer and the rising Author, they were able to pull quite a lot of attention from the industry.
Many famous stars joined to make the premier successful. The cast member seeing their idols for the first time was mesmerized. It was a star-studded line-up; they were hogging all the spotlight, but the production crew hopped for this exact scenario.
They believed in their movie and were sure the children would make an even better impact. Samuel, Emma and Rupert were arranged at the end. They were the real star for tonight.
" Woah, I definitely saw Jack there?" Rupert was glued to the window and observed the people walking inside the theatre.
" Jack?" Samuel asked. He was certain no one named Jack was on the guest list. Emma was just as oblivious as him.
" Jack from 'Titanic', seriously you guys need to 'research' more." Rupert was disappointed.
" I don't think that movie is meant for children like you." Samuel asked. How could he not know the monster that dominated the box office a couple of years ago? While looking for similarities, he would often compare both worlds.
" Did someone said 'Titanic'?" Columbus was riding at the front asked.
" Sam is right. I am telling your mother; she personally asked me when you make any trouble." Emma asked. Both families were in touch as their children 'worked' together.
" Come on, Don't be like that. I accidently watched one night."
" Well, we have to verify if you are telling the truth or not."
" Such a big name actor would not be here. Although it is a big project it is hard to invite such peoples." Samuel said.
" Settle down everyone. We are up next." Emma and Rupert stopped talking and adjusted their clothes. They were nervous, but it was manageable as they went through many similar situations.
Emma and Rupert went down; they were surprised to see hundreds of people lining up on both sides of the entrance cheering for them.
Next, Samuel exited the car; the cheers were much louder, and the roaring fans were calling his name.
" Harry"
" Omg, He looks so cute."
" Over here, Harry."
The popularity of Samuel was much more than the rest of the cast to the point that these people looked like someone had bewitched them.
The cast member gave various poses for reporters to take photos, and flashes on the scene lit up one after another, rendering the night into day. It was almost blinding.
Samuel waved back and forth at the movie fans. Whenever he smiled, the cheering intensified. They walked for more than 10 minutes and briefly talked with some fans at the front. Some would also be asked for autographs, but there were too many of them. After giving a few, they had to walk inside the venue.
The premiere was held in the Cinerama Dome at Sunset & Vine on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It looked like a huge golf ball from afar.
Pacific Theatres' Cinerama Dome was a movie theatre located at 6360 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California. Designed to exhibit widescreen Cinerama films, it opened on November 7, 1963. The original developer was William R. Forman, founder of Pacific Theatres.
The theatre had a retro feel to it. It was a very interesting place with a large land mass. This may be why the Studio decided to go with this one.
After entering the arena, the movie cast members greeted and chatted with other Hollywood superstars. It was more like a fan meet and greet, the children's flocking to them was strange, but these people were professionals. They handled the situation with ease.
Everyone expressed great kindness toward Samuel, maybe because of his looks or how he carried himself. They felt like they were talking to a veteran. Needless to say, Samuel's presence was like an 'electric shock' for the industry.
Many of them watched a few clips of him performing and became instant fans of this kid.
As for Emma and Rupert, as long as this movie succeeds, they will definitely be among the top Hollywood stars. Everyone knew their roles were recurring; if the author kept writing her books, they would have no problem getting the position.
At 9 o'clock, everyone got to their seats on time; it was about time for the movie to start.
Emma was a little nervous; she was squeezing her hand. Samuel, who was sitting beside her, noticed her nervousness.
" You did good. I am sure it would be a success. Everyone worked hard for it."
" Right."
" Look your parents are also waving at us." Samuel pointed at the back. Emma also waved back; she was able to calm her beating heart.
" By the way where are your parents. You said they would attend right?" She asked.
" They are already here."
" Where? I don't see them." Emma looked around.
" All the way in the back. It would be a big deal if they are discovered. There are thousands of cameras' here, it's quite risky to sit close to me."
" Right, but will it be fine?" Rupert, who was listening in, asked.
" Don't worry. Coincidently, this theatre is having some 'renovation' done. So they had to block an entire floor."
" Sorry, I forgot. It is quite surreal even after you told me, it is hard to believe. Just promise me you will not forget about me when you make it big. Ok?"
" He doesn't need to 'make it'. Are you even listening to yourself?" Emma said.
" Ah, sorry."
" We can discuss it later. Look, it is about it begin."
