Hellmode ~A Hardcore Gamer Becomes Peerless in Another World with Retro Game Settings~
Chapter 645: Earth Labyrinth RTA (14) Fight with Andre (1)The boss of the 80th floor introduced himself as the Earth Incarnation Andre.
He reminded Allen of a tortoise monster movie he had seen long ago, as he stood on his hind legs, and showed his stomach which had indentations like abs.
Considering it had orichalcum growing on his back, his Endurance was likely high.
(So he's a servant of the God of Earth. He even has the face of an Andre. But the boss of the 80th floor isn't a ghost then.)
He was so big that he could look at Allen's group without issue, even though they were flying in the air.
And then Allen felt like he understood what the boss of the 80th floor was.
Andre had called himself Earth Incarnate, which reminded Allen of something the God of Fire Freya had mentioned about her followers and servants.
That was probably the final form of a servant of the God of Earth.
Maybe he had been a Sacred Beast on the surface in the past, and a human before that, though no trace of that remained in the 300 meter monster.
'Heheheh, how long are you going to stand there? Or did I scare you speechless?'
Andre began to taunt Allen's group.
But since Allen did not give the order to attack, they only spread their formation slightly without doing anything more.
The magicians began to gather their Mana, and the Golem Pilots started switching out their stone slabs to attack ones.
'Gyau…'
Only Haku was on the verge of lunging out to attack.
Barely a minute passed, but that was valuable time for Allen to identify their win-con.
(There's a door leading out behind him. And Andre has a key on his neck. If that key is necessary, then I guess the keys we have are useless. Kuwatoro, use Thousand-mile Eyes.)
Kuwatoro used Thousand-mile Eyes and Allen was able to see another gate on the opposite side of the entrance, 5 kilometers away, which was around 100 meters big.
There was a keyhole too, though Allen already had 2 [Keys].
Earlier when they opened the first gates the key had not vanished, so they still had 2.
(It's pretty obvious so there's no need to think about it too much. Anyway, time to appraise.)
Andre looked like an enormous tortoise, and there was an orichalcum key the size of a palm hanging from his neck.
It was hard to say how long the chain was, but it looked like adamantite, tying the key to his neck.
Allen looked at the results of Kuwatoro's Special Skill [Appraiser Eyes].

(That's even higher than a Demigod. And it's lived for more than 10000 years. Though I guess it does take time for something to grow so big.)
His stats were even higher than those of a Demigod Rank ghost.
Allen used the Bird F summon to tell everyone that this enemy was stronger than the other bosses.
'Okay, it seems we can't avoid fighting. Haku, you'll lead the charge!'
'Gyau!!'
The 30 meter long Haku spread his wings and puffed his chest as he charged at the 300 meter long enemy.
He did not understand what leading the charge meant, he simply understood he could attack.
When Haku rammed into Andre, he seemed to lift up into the air and then was pushed back.
'Hrngh?! What's that power!! I can see how you made it this far now! But..!!'
*WHOOOOMMM*
'Gyawawa?!'
After making the ground shake when he landed, Andre shouted loudly.
Haku's stats were similar to those of a God, just like Andre, so it was natural for him to be shocked from the hit.
But after he landed, he turned his hips to make his tail swing, which was covered in orichalcum spikes like a morning star, hitting Haku with it straight on.
The spikes tore away at Haku's scaly chest, leaving deep gashes before sending him flying back.
"Tabatha, Ingressa, heal him!!"
"Yes! All Heal!!"
"Yes! All Heal!!"
Just one tail swipe had sent Haku flying away, even though he had the highest stats in the group. Seeing that everyone got even more tense, coupled with the fact that they had been in the dungeon for more than 10 hours.
There were very few members of the Earth Labyrinth party who could tackle enemies, and golems could not receive buffs or healing magic.
(If me or Shea took that hit we would've died instantly. I probably should have Graham and Luvanka in a completely defensive stance.)
From that first attack, Allen decided that only Haku, Merus, and Luvanka could fight Andre physically, since he or Shea would die instantly since their stats were not high enough.
Luvanka had received many buffs so he would probably survive one hit, but since Allen could not summon anything again inside the dungeon, if Luvanka was killed he would be absent until the end.
Everyone positioned themselves around Haku and Merus, who were the main attacker and defender. Merus was also wearing the [Sword and Shield] from the Angel B summon.
'Merle, your group will attack from range!! Aim mostly at the stomach and head!!'
The golems had no need to worry about defending, they could just fire from afar.
"...Got it! Tam-Tam! Gooooo!!"
'Exterminate!'
It took a few seconds for them to fully understand what Allen wanted, but then they attacked.
Tam-Tam continued in flight mode, with the cannons mounted all over its wings firing rapidly.
The combined golems from Galara's party also started firing at the large monster.
(What's he gonna do now? I don't think he has any ranged attacks, though he looks like he might have a breath attack.)
Allen watched Andre's reaction.
The way he reacted to Haku's first attack made it seem like he could only fight physically.
It did not seem like he had any way to retaliate against the attacks from the golems.
Kuwatoros' Special Skill [Appraiser Eyes] could not see an enemy's Skills, so Allen still had to figure out what type of attacks they had. He knew Andre had very high stats though, so he wanted to avoid any surprise attacks that could be deadly.
'Shea, attack when Haku makes an opening. And keep your Divine Technique ready!!'
'Got it! True Explosive Punch!!'
Shea had the Skill [Full Beast Mode] active as she began attacking.
'Hmm! So you're the one giving everyone orders!!'
The scales on Andre's front legs easily blocked Shea's attack and he turned to look at Allen.
(Oh, so he noticed. I guess it was about time.)
Allen was giving the orders through the Bird F summon so that Andre could not hear them, but he had still noticed that Allen was the one directing everyone.
There were many members of the group who were replying loudly or nodding at Allen though.
But now Allen stepped back and Merus slid in his spot.
'Hmph! Magic Shield!!'
Merus used the sword and shield Special Skill [Magic Shield].
The shield covered the area from his knees to his head, but when activating the Skill, a 3 meter long shield of light would appear on top of it.
The [Magic Shield] created by the Special Skill reduced physical damage, breath damage, and magic damage to half.
It would vanish when switching out to another weapon from the Angel B summon, and it had a cooldown.
'Be crushed and die.'
*THUMPPP*
'Fghh?!'
Even though it was a 3 meter shield, it was tiny compared to Andre.
The difference in stats was also too big, and Merus was sent flying away with ease.
"I'm sorry."
'It's okay.'
Allen used that time to slip away.
"Everyone, keep attacking."
"We're already doing that!!"
Cecile and the other magicians kept launching spells at Andre.
'He has no Breath Resistance, Matil and Haku. Burn his head.'
'Alright, got it! Graaaaaawwwwww!!'
"Gyau!!"
(Everything is hitting so far so his Strength is going down decently.)
While everyone was attacking, Allen checked Andre's Strength to see if it was going down.
Andre's resistances made physical and magic attacks deal only a bit of damage, so most of it was coming from Haku and Matildora.
After around 30 minutes 60% of Andre's Strength was gone, and he started to grin.
'Hmph, such weak attacks… Earth, give me healing power…'
Andre lowered his stomach to the ground, then his head and limbs vanished inside the shell before it started spinning.
"Hey, does that mean…"
"Yeah, his Strength has recovered completely."
(He doesn't have any powerful breath attacks then, but it can heal. He didn't lose any Spiritual Power either, so I guess that means he can use it many times.)
It could ball up to recover after taking a lot of damage.
"Seriously?! That's such a cowardly move!!"
'Cowardly? What are you talking about. Come now, you need to defeat me if you want the key!'
He said that with a grin, taunting them to come attack as much as they wanted.
It was clear that the 80th floor's boss Andre was there as a big time sink.
"I see, we aren't trying to defeat each other."
"Huh?"
Now Allen spoke with a low voice so only Cecile could hear.
(We'll lose some time, but we'll have to change strategies.)
"Cecile, prepare Little Meteor!"
"Huh? Okay."
"Haku and Matil, don't let the enemy move with your breaths!!"
'Alright.'
'Gyau!'
Matildora and Haku quickly began spewing flames.
Andre lowered his body into a defensive stance.
"Now!!"
"Small Meteor!!"
'Hm? What's that! But magic like that! Magic like that won't..!!'
"Hey! That didn't kill him!!" A large flaming rock that was as big as him fell on Andre.
But Andre braced with all his legs and resisted Cecile's Extra Skill [Small Meteor].
The ground beneath him seemed to cave in a little, but he did not seem like he took much damage.
As the power of the Extra Skill [Small Meteor] was about to end, Allen moved on to his next strategy.
"Shea, now!!"
"Yes, I know!! Divine Wind Consecutive Hits!!"
'Hm?!'
Many blades of wind emerged from Shea's fists and flew to Andre's neck.
Since he had been bracing earlier, his arms were busy and his neck was exposed, leading to the chain on his neck shattering.
Free from the broken chains, the [Key] was released and Andre could only watch it as it fell to the ground.
