Waking up to the sound of the alarm, my eyes looked up at the ceiling before I felt Angela's body as she changed her position to something that came more comfortably to her. Her breasts touched mine as she put one of her legs above, while her hands wrapped around my bare body.
Her face, resting up on my shoulders, I could feel her slow warm breaths against my body.
"Mmmm,"she hummed a little as the disturbance caused by the alarm slightly woke her up as well. With her eyes slowly opening up as she looked at me with a warm look as she hugged me a bit more.
I smiled at her as I asked,"slept well?"
"Yes,"she answered with a smile as she added,"it was blissful."
She then slowly let me go as she got into a sitting position while her smile was still focused on me. Adjusting herself properly, she then sat on the bed before she yawned as she stretched her body. The blanket which was covering her fell down, revealing her naked body once again.
It wasn't as clearly as visible as before in the night but now that the sunshine has blessed the room, I could see all the curves she has. And the only words I have for her are…
"You really are enchanting,"I muttered dazed for a second. Hearing my words, she chuckled a little,"not that you are any different," she replied.
"So. What were you so 'busy' with yesterday?" I asked as I adjusted my position and laid with my back on the wall. As for her, she moved towards me, before she sat in my lap. With her hands around my neck, she proceeded to kiss me before speaking,
"You know about my condition on how I can't ascend no matter how much I try, right?" she asked, and I nodded. It was because of the curse that Aether put on her making Ais, the being of Darkness, not escape the prison.
"I am actually doing experiments on various beings and trying to break free through the clutch of that. There are actually no positive results but hopefully I will get there someday,"she spoke with a smile as she kissed me again before she noticed my expression,"what happened?"
"Well… I have a good news and bad news for you?" I spoke as I looked at her, making her look at me with her eyes widened a lot. The previously mischievous look was gone as she observed me with a serious yet expectant face that was waiting for me to continue my words.
"Bad news first,"she added before I could speak.
I nodded as I spoke,"you can't ascend no matter what you do. I don't know how powerful that guy is, but I don't think anyone is capable enough to undo the curse he did on you."
Her expression stayed still as she looked at me for a while before asking,"tell me more."
I then pondered about it for a second. While I don't think I should tell anyone about what happens when I use that ability, since it's about Angela, I guess I can make an exception here for various reasons.
And thus I told her about Ais, her probable father, the heinous crimes he committed and the one who sealed him inside Angela before locking any possibilities of him coming back alive. I told her about sir Aether too, which she doesn't seem to remember much except that he was one of the strongest beings in the universe. The only reason humans, despite being so weak, were never taken so lightly.
After the story was over, her eyes went down a little as she fell in deep thought. Though rather than being pessimistic, she sighed as she answered,"so that was the reason, huh? Well, at least the reason for me not being able to ascend isn't just me being a shame to the universe or something. The cause is actually that great." I could still see some regret in her eyes as she was in a deep thought. Though after a few seconds of staying still in her thoughts, she asked,"what is the good news?"
"Ummm… it was actually something that I discovered during my adventures, but… I think you can still get strong without ascending. Something about being an absolute being of the same rank as you are. That way, you might actually become more powerful than your next ascension, or even higher than that. There is a limit, but you certainly can,"I spoke, making her sigh a little as she looked at me with a small smile as she added,
"Thanks for encouragement, but a lower being can never be able to defeat a higher being."
Though…
"That's not true… when I was still human, I kind of defeated a divine being named Kira-"
Her eyes widened as soon as she heard that name before she interrupted,"Great General Kira? The Slayer of a thousand worlds?!!!!"
"Ummm… I don't know about that slayer thingy, but… he looked like…" I then began describing the man I defeated in the first dungeon that I took part in. The more I described about him, the more her eyes widened as she looked at me. At first she couldn't believe it but as I explained more and more about him and also about Erina, she finally believed me.
"Michael… just who are you?" She asked with more than a surprised face. Her face was trying to see through the mystery that I was hiding. Even though there were none… except that ability that allowed me to let me decide my future completely with my own two hands.
I told her that I was at my death bed before I received an ability to accelerate my time as much as I could and even though I explained the processes through which I did that; she was still amazed, nonetheless.
"Michael… I don't think it is as easy as you made it out to be. It wasn't just that ability but the way you thought process worked and how you guided your entire evolution pathway without even letting your body ascend, reaching the peak of humanity… It really is amazing!" her eyes were bright as she looked at me.
"Then trust me when I say that I will help you gain the power to defeat beings that are above your ascension, okay?" I spoke, and she looked at me with slight hesitation. Her eyes were shaking as she pondered over it a little before asking,
"Can I really get that strong?" she asked again, as if trying to make herself believe. I looked at her as I kissed her before speaking,"I will learn various energies and also help you make full use of that. How about it?"
Hearing my words, she smiled at me as she nodded. She then pondered about something before speaking,"then I guess I should change my schedule then. More learning about things I can do without ascending than trying to ascend itself. Haha… this is depressing to be honest," she added, finally revealing her true thoughts to me.
Though looking at her irritated expression, I couldn't help but feel like she is cute. And thus, I kissed her on the lips again as I helped her move off my body. If she survived all those millennials by herself, a thought like this shouldn't interfere with her much.
"Keep a watch on how things are going on. If anything seems or feels wrong, inform me immediately,"I spoke as I looked at her, making her turn serious as she, too, nodded at me.
"So where will you be going now?" she asked with a curious look. I smiled at her as I answered,"Meeting Caroline."
"Going from one girl to another, huh? Such a playboy you are,"she teased as she moved off the bed and I too followed her. She then turned around as a black dress slowly appeared on her body and getting close to me, she kissed me again before speaking,"take care of yourself, master. Call me if you need me… for something important.." and then she kissed me again, this time with her tongue… a few seconds longer before letting go,"... and for something pleasurable."
She then vanished from there as her body vanished into ashes and I could only chuckle a little before picking up my phone and proceeding to call Caroline.
-Ring! Ring! Click!
-Hey Michael! I saw Walter bringing her sister here. Were you the one who sent him here?
"Yeah. It helped me out a little. Though, I have something important to tell. Buy two tickets for Rimenawa," I said as I waited for her answer to come.
-Rimenawa. Why?
Her voice was slightly furious as I could see the irritation in it.
"Remember when I said that I would love to meet your parents? I think it's time now," I said, chuckling a little. Though, I could feel her glare through the phone as I added,"It's something else. I will tell you on the way. Though, don't inform them of our arrival." -Hmm… okay. I will wait for you to come. When are we going then?
"Evening today. Can you do it?" I asked. The faster the better.
-Today, huh? Okay. I will see to it. Pack your thing and meet me in two hours on the campus then
"Sure. Bye then, meet you in two hours," I said as I cut the call and stretched a little before looking at the morning sun before muttering to myself,"well. Let's complete the [Daily quests] and gain another level."
