Chapter 1: Chapter 1: This isn't supposed to happen!!

They say death treats everyone the same way, who knows, it might actually be true.

In the middle of Nowhere–where there was absolutely nothing.

A place where one would have no sense of time, existence, or any light, the only thing that was present was a trail of orbs, rows upon rows of which were glowing, forming a streak.

All these orbs were nothing but the souls of those who were in the middle of a judgment.

A judgment of their fate.

The orbs continued watching their lives as it played out in front of them, starting from the moment they were born and the choices they had made throughout their lives.

Noah, just like any other soul, was also currently undergoing the same process; however, there was one particular thing that was different about him.

He wasn't weak like the others, many of these souls were mortal while the others belonged to powerful individuals of their respective worlds.

Yet he was not like any of them, he was better.

He was the god from his world, the Magical Realm.

A world that held its own system of magic and wonders, where he had gone through ups and downs in his life and eventually stood on the top of his world.

Despite his status and achievements, he still had to face death and was just as dead as any of the souls present around him. But somehow death did not seem to faze him.

In fact, there was a slight relieved smile on his face as he watched his life's tapestry with his own eyes.

In one of the memories, he could see himself interacting with several women, the atmosphere was merry and radiated with serenity as they laughed.

These women were not his lovers but were the ones he had saved during his journey.

They were mothers who were discarded and thrown away from their families, some due to their old age, some due to their inability to produce an heir for the family, and some due to debt, in fact, some of them were thrown away by their very own children.

Since he had been brought up in an orphanage and had never seen the face of his mother after she passed away right after giving birth to him, Noah couldn't remember his time with her.

Seeing these mothers suffer at the hands of their children and families tugged something inside his heart, fueling his empathy.

He provided them with shelter, a place which they could call home and a place where they could enjoy the rest of their lives.

However, the merry scene before him so changed into a bad one, he watched the terror and massacre he had caused, but even as the terrorized and horrified look on the faces of the people flashed through the screen, it did not affect him in the least.

If he were given a choice, he would do it once again without any hesitation. He was willing to be the devil spawn these people claimed him to be.

Unbeknownst to Noah, while he was watching the events of his life, there was someone or something else that was accompanying him in watching it.

Fate is quite weird, not many people can comprehend what it really is, even after knowing that they can't go against it.

Nonetheless, it has always been enigmatic yet the most simple thing

Soon, the scene of his death played before his eyes. In the scene, Noah could see a figure of an old man draped in a robe.

The old man's gray hair flowed beneath his hood as he continued to carve strange patterns on the ground.

However, before he could finish chanting his spell, a red-haired man wearing an expensive outfit sneaked behind him and stabbed the old man right in the chest.

Gritting his teeth, the red-haired man sneered, "You should have died long, Old man, that would have been better for both of us and I wouldn't have to resort to this method."

In response, the old man simply glanced at him with cold eyes.

A slight smirk appeared on the corner of the old man's face, causing the eyes of the red-haired man wide open to their highest capacity, but before he could think of anything, the old man snapped his fingers, resulting in the whole room to be caught in fire.

Gritting his teeth, the red-haired man exclaimed before forcefully removing the dagger from the old man's chest and using it to decapitate his head.

"Damn You Fu!%@%^# Old man! Die!!"

Noah watched as his research assistant betrayed him by stabbing him in the back, driven by the desire to get sole recognition for their research.

The expressions on his face were filled with nothing but boredom, there was not a hint of hate or anger for being betrayed. It was like he knew what was going to happen anytime soon and he simply wanted it to happen.

After the scene came to an end and there was nothing more of his life, Noah waited with deep anticipation in his eyes, wondering what was going to happen next.

The next moment, a portal appeared in front of him, prompting a smile on his lips.

Fate also seemed to have made its move and turned its wheel.

A scene that no one might have ever witnessed for eons unfolded once again as fate changed the course of this man's journey, paving a different path before him.

As to how he will walk the path, it would be up to him.

Noah, who was in the middle of his reincarnation felt as if something about his destiny was changing as he tried to probe in; feeling as if his previous destination had changed to an entirely different one.

The smile that hung on his face faltered in that very instance and a quite weird expression replaced it.

Panic!

This was the first time after thousands of years of his life that he had panicked after seeing his plans fail.

"NO!!! This was not why I died, I have to go back. Fu—."

No matter how much he struggled, how efforts turned out to be futile as his soul was sucked into a vortex.

His fate was changed and another path was opened for him to walk on, what kind of choice he will make and how his future will turn out to be now remains unknown.

____________

In a realm vastly different from before.

The whole realm was filled with an eerie atmosphere pervaded by a feeling of end, the aura of destruction followed by a new beginning.

The aura of DEATH.

One could see nothing but a purple fog in the sky that seemed to have the ability to engulf beings inside of it without leaving a trace of their existence.

At the heart of this land, where the aura was at its peak stood a grand and majestic castle, shrouded in darkness.

Somewhere inside the castle sat a being on the throne, a glorious one that no one would even want to look at because of the being sitting on top of it.

The being sitting on the majestic throne was covered in nothing but a dark mist that obscured one's vision, making it impossible for anyone to look past it, nonetheless, the being emanated was as chilling as death itself.

Suddenly, its eyes snapped open, revealing two blood-red pupils that could scare any normal person to death.

The bloody red pupils moved in a certain direction and a voice whose gender could not be discerned echoed throughout the room.

"The wheels of fate seem to have turned once again after countless millennia. Who is the fortunate one this time to have gained your favor?"

The voice questioned absolutely no one but its tone indicated it was waiting for an answer.

In fact, the being even got a reply from a mechanical voice that was devoid of any emotions.

"You will know of it soon, very soon if I must say." However, this time there was a hint of playful ambiguity in the emotionless tone.

"Did you just show emotion?" The being covered in mist asked, astounded as it had never felt or heard any emotions from the owner of this voice, ever.

It got a reply but in a usual emotionless tone, making it wonder if what had happened was nothing but an illusion, "It's merely your imagination."

"Yeah, right! Like I will believe someone who plays with the life of others on mere whims."

The being snorted before closing its eyes, returning to its slumber, leaving the realm to be enveloped in its eerie silence once again.
