385 His Plan
Alex had completed his objective. He already made the array and confirmed that around a third of the soldiers did not have red colored energy inside their body. Of course, he observed them from afar, and because he needed to make Arrays around them, he could see a complete picture with his Spirit Eyes. He assumed those soldiers would be the soldiers from Nilis Continent.
He could assume that because of their Martial Kings. They even had peak Martial Kings in their helm, so he thought Nilis Continent should have higher base energy than his Willow Continent. With that level of energy, birthing soldiers equal to the Zhou Kingdom should be easy.
Of course, they would also need time to cultivate them, but with how grand the scale of this invasion was. He felt they had enough time to prepare all of it, resulting in those soldiers.
At the same time, he was also sure that their plan would be something similar to his speculation. Even if they had another twist in their plan, he should be able to counter that by a slight adjustment.
He finally made his way toward Thine City. He would need to arrange the disciples from both sects. Since it was still dark, Alex used this chance to recover his energy first. He was a bit exhausted after making so many arrays and in that tense situation where he constantly needed to be wary.
As soon as the dawn came, Alex went toward the army just right outside the Thine City. Of course, even though they were right outside the Thine City, the elders made them camp inside the woods to make sure no one realized their existence. And it seemed they also bribed the officials in Thine City to make sure no one approached their position.
The first elder immediately noticed his presence and came out to meet him.
"First Elder." Alex nodded.
"We have settled down in this place and make sure no one knows about our existence in this place. As for those officials, we have dealt with them, forcing them to shift the attention of all people inside the town to another place. Well, it is easy since the biggest distraction will be the Grand Tournament in Carageo City. I will go to that City after this, and my disciple Silvia will be in charge of these disciples."
"Thank you for your hard work. I have made sure of the enemy's intention and their plan. I think I will need to explain my plan for this." Alex said.
"Indeed, I will call Silvia and a few elders." The first elder said.
"Oh, by the way, who is in charge of Rainbow Flower Sect right now?"
"..." The first elder hesitated a bit before he said a familiar name to Alex, "Letizia La Scola. She should be in the field, making sure the disciples are ready."
Alex did not say anything for a few seconds before nodding his head. "I will go to her then."
The first elder nodded and left. Alex then started walking toward the Rainbow Flower Sect camp. It was truly a glamorous sight to see females wherever he went.
"Master, what are you doing here?" Suddenly, he heard a female voice from the side. And since she called him 'Master,' Alex could imagine who she was.
Alex nodded. "I want to check the condition of our forces for a bit and then explain the enemy plan and my plan."
"Understood. I will gather all of them. Where is the meeting place?" Letizia asked.
Alex pondered for a moment and said, "In Heavenly Sword Sect camp."
Letizia nodded and left to gather the people. Alex then came back to the Heavenly Sword Sect camp, and the first elder led them to a commander tent.
There were around eleven people in this tent, including the first elder and Letizia. After noticing everyone was ready, Alex said, "I am sure you are wondering why I don't want to ruin their plan before all of this started. I could only say that when I am not on this continent anymore. If a giant army comes again, you won't be able to fend them off.
"I don't want to say whether Heavenly Sword Sect or Rainbow Flower Sect is not good. But let just consider the fact that you don't realize a giant army with 15 Martial Kings go unnoticed like this. It is the biggest blunder that could change the fate of this continent.
"That's why I want to erase this threat once and for all. And I need all of your power for this. I am sure you also want it that way."
All of them nodded. They surely did not want a big threat like this, especially when they knew the army had 15 Martial Kings. They also received the information from him telling the army had a hundred thousand Martial Masters, fifty thousand Martial Grandmasters, and five thousand Martial Lords. With that number alone, none of their sects would be able to withstand their power.
"Anyway, from the information I have got this whole time. I am 90% sure the Martial Kings will move first. They have prepared a giant array beneath the arena. You don't need to worry about it since I have taken care of it.
"The array is called Elemental Suppression Array, and they could suppress all Martial Lord or below cultivators. I have experienced it, and I am sure you won't be able to move your body when you are under the suppression.
"So, when the array is activated, we will move the army toward Rivulet Forest. I will stand by in front of the army and let you know my location. After that, we will rout the entire army." Alex explained.
"But Master, what about the Martial Kings? And even if we come to fight them, it is practically impossible for our sixty thousand disciples to defeat that giant army. Our power level is also far lower than them." Letizia asked.
When they heard Letizia called Alex' Master'. They were bewildered. After all, Letizia was the daughter of Rainbow Flower Sect sect master. And the way she called him was very formal, like a servant and master relationship rather than master and disciple relationship.
When they thought about that, Alex immediately shifted their focus once more. He said hurriedly, "I can deal with the Martial Kings. Since they are moving separately with the army, my subordinates should be able to kill all of them.
"And if you are asking about how we can defeat that giant army with our sixty thousand disciples… well, with that number, they can easily surround us and kill us." Alex said. The people furrowed their eyebrows when they heard that. Alex then continued, "But, if we have a wall that could withstand their attacks and that wall will only give us enough space for a frontal assault between thirty thousand of our force as well as their thirty thousand.
"At the same time, around ten Martial Kings will lead our forces to defeat them while they have none," Alex explained.
"?!" The people were confused as they tried to absorb his strategy. Letizia asked again, "A gap only enough for sixty thousand people… but it still does not change the fact that they outmanned us."
"I know." Alex nodded. "That's why we will split our forces into two with thirty thousand each, let's just call them the first army and the second army. We won't be able to rout them in a short time if we fight carefully. So, I want them to fight with full strength, thinking they need to kill the enemy as soon as possible.
"After a certain amount of time, we will change the first army with the second army and have them fight with their full strength. Meanwhile, the first army will retreat into the woods and recover their energy.
"I have a wall that could let it happen. And with the constant exchange between the first army and second army. The enemy will think they are also under attack by a giant army with the same number as them or higher.
"Together with our Martial Kings, I am sure we can rout them in a few hours. So, what I want to say is we won't fight 150,000 soldiers. Instead, we will fight 30,000 soldiers five times. But with the constant change, we should be able to win this battle." Alex explained.
They drew a cold breath when they heard Alex's plan, especially Letizia. She did not know what kind of wall Alex had. But if he tried to employ this strategy to destroy their Rainbow Flower Sect… She could not imagine what would happen. Luckily or Unluckily, she had become Alex's slave, and he even asked for her help on this matter. So, the possibility of Alex attacking the Rainbow Flower Sect would be close to zero.
When their tension was at the peak, Alex suddenly added with killing intent. "And with the head of their Martial Kings rolling in front of them before the battle even begins, what kind of feeling will they have at that moment? Fear, Anxiety, Panic, and so on. Because all people will always think like this, 'I still have the backing of my sect, or I will still have the backing of Martial Kings.' But, if they lose their backing, what will happen? Their morale would be so low that even our forces would easily trample them beneath our feet."
Gasped-! In fact, They were not shocked by Alex's plan anymore, they were scared. They imagined if Alex became their enemy instead… They shuddered.
Of course, Alex could have a plan like this was because he had enough information, and the enemy had yet to know about his intention. And Alex knew it, so even with this checkmate situation, Alex still did not let his guard down.
"Alright, then. Do any of you have an objection to this plan?" Alex asked.
All of them immediately shook their heads.
"I will stay here for the time being before going back to Carageo City in the evening, so if you have any questions concerning our plan, you can ask me here," Alex said.
All of them nodded before leaving the tent. Not long after that, Silvia, the disciple of the first elder, came back.
"You are going to be in charge of the disciples here, right?" Alex asked.
"Yes. My master has gone toward Carageo City." Silvia nodded.
"Do you have any questions about the plan?"
Silvia shook her head. "No, it's just… after hearing your plan, defeating me three months ago is an easy feat for you. Especially since your cultivation is higher than me now. Well, I just want to say that. I will prepare the disciples so they will be ready to move at any time."
"Alright, thanks."
In the evening, he came out of his tent only to see Letizia in front of the tent. He frowned.
"Master, let me accompany you to Carageo City."
Alex was astonished to hear that from her mouth. He thought she hated him because she became his slave, and the reason why she accepted his request back then was because of the situation. After all, considering her personality, she should make a move to that since her sect was in danger.
"You are going to participate in the Grand Tournament?" Alex asked. He finally realized that she had a cultivation of the 9-Star Martial Lord.
"Yes. Of course, if I face Master in the tournament, I will immediately surrender. Even with all my effort, I doubt I can defeat Master. Besides, I am yours, there is no way I can hurt you." She said with a calm expression.
Alex looked at her for a while and sighed. This girl became more mature because of the setback, and her personality was starting to be like her mother. She even said that misleading word, saying she was his (woman).
He remembered he had an Elemental Sword, and that sword was perfect for her. He did not have any use of it, so it would be better to give her. He took out the Ice Elemental Sword that had been imbued by Elemental Orb and tossed it to her.
"This is…" She was surprised by the sword as this was the first time she saw a sword that had Ice Element in it. It was like it complimented her element.
"You can try to get used to the sword first. It will boost your Ice Element even further." Alex said and left. He did not say if it was a thank for her sticking up with him in this problem or anything. Of course, Alex never treated someone related to him badly, like Evelyn.
She looked at Alex's disappearing back before bowing her head to show her thanks. She never expected something like this. If this was in auction, the price might even reach a hundred million. It just showed how rare this sword was.
She immediately stored the sword and followed him to Carageo City. Of course, she maintained the distance between them as she was afraid she would get him into trouble by staying right beside him. She did not want to repeat the same mistake.
