Chapter 407: A New Planet

Chapter 407: A New Planet

In the meantime, Charles continued to move in the space tunnel and soon frowned as he sensed a sharp headache. Even though he was in his soul form, he still felt the pain.

'What is this?' He got startled a little and soon noticed that a black rocky object was moving up ahead of him. It was in irregular shape, had the size of an elephant, and drifted in a zigzag manner.

'Is it a broken part of an asteroid?'

Strangely, as he got closer to the black rock, the headache also started to rise. In mere two seconds, Charles felt like his head was bulging from the inside.

'F*ck! What is this? Something isn't right!' He instantly activated the [Foresight] skill and tried to see his future.

To his shock, nothing appeared in his mind. There was no vision, no warning sensation, nothing!

.

'Wait… This strange headache. Is it a warning? That black rock is a dangerous thing?' He instantly tried to back away but couldn't due to the momentum. Meanwhile, the Crimson flame continued to move faster and appeared closer towards the rock.

On the other hand, Charles felt a soul-tearing pain. Even when his soul got shattered, he didn't feel anything similar to this.

Just as he was about to take control over the crimson flame, a strange ripple filled with the power of 'Time' entered the space tunnel out of nowhere and spread in all directions.

For a split second, Charles sensed that some higher being had locked its gaze on him and shuddered inside!

'What the f*ck?! I barely survived from a divine's plot.' He couldn't help but curse inwardly.

At that moment, he noticed that the black rock suddenly changed its trajectory, moved towards the bluish tunnel wall, and crashed into it.

A second later, a crack appeared in the space tunnel, followed by a suction force.

Before Charles could even think further, the suction force pulled him into the spatial crack. At the same time, the debris of the black stone flew in his direction and directly crashed into him.

Thankfully, the crimson flame blocked the black debris.

Before checking if that debris had any effect on the crimson flame, he suddenly noticed that his vision turned blurry and soon got ejected from the wormhole tunnel.

By the time he managed to regain his vision, he had found himself flying in the deep space at an unimaginable speed.

But there was something else scary that appeared in front of his vision.

At that moment, he noticed that the black stone was affecting the crimson flame and turning it into a black flame.

In a blink, the outer part of the crimson flame transformed and soon got changed into a pure black one!

'No good!' He didn't hesitate for a moment as he conjured a ball of rebirth flame and covered his soul form.

At the same time, he also manipulated the rebirth flame, created a Red Tear around his soul, and broke the crimson flame before escaping in a random direction.

He only stopped after five minutes of flying.

'Damn, that sucks.' A bitter smile appeared on his face. But only then did he realize something.

'Wait! I'm in Astral Plane! But how come that black rock manages to harm the crimson flame?' He knew that the crimson flame could work in both Astral Plane and Physical World but didn't expect that some physical objects would also appear in both Realms.

'It seems this Astral Plane isn't a safer place. Indeed, there might be many dangerous astral beings drifting in space. Haa! What should I do now?' A deep sigh leaked out of his mouth.

'I can't stay in the space for too long. Anything can happen when I'm in this Astral Plane. That black rock is a good example.' He muttered inwardly and then looked around the surrounding space.

Only stars and an empty void appeared in his sight. No, he also saw bright stars! One star appeared on his right side while the other one hovered above his head.

They were so bright and closer than the rest of the stars.

Charles closed his eyes, zeroed his focus on the star in front, and activated his [Foresight] skill.

Unlike before, he managed to perceive the future and soon saw a vision.

It was the image of a yellowish dwarf star!

A moment later, he opened his eyes and looked up at the other star.

Like before, he once again activated his [Foresight] skill and perceived the future.

A second later, he opened his eyes and frowned.

"A planet, huh. Moreover, this one appears more like an Earth-like planet. Hmm, this surely is not a coincidence." At that moment, he vaguely pinpointed the real culprit behind this mess.

"It must be the God of Time or the Angel of Time. Those two are the only ones who are capable of manipulating future time to this extend." Although he was shocked by this anomaly, he didn't put too much thought into it.

Unlike the power of Destiny, time was not a fixed one. As long as he acted out of their predictions, he could easily fool those two guys and move independently.

'Still, I need to be extra careful.' He nodded inwardly, manipulated the Rebirth Flame, and moved forward.

Unlike the crimson flame, the Rebirth Flame constantly expelled the fire and helped Charles move into space.

Although the rebirth flame moved slower at the start, he continued to conjure the flame and accelerated the speed for the next few hours!

Soon, the Red Tear's speed reached the speed of sound!

But Charles didn't stop there and continued to increase his speed up to 10,000 km/hr.

After twenty hours of travel, he finally managed to see another celestial object next to the blue planet.

It was a Moon!

'If I had comprehended the crimson flame, things would've gone much smoother. Nah, this Rebirth Flame is a must for me.' He shook his head, manipulated the rebirth flame, and continued to move.

After another ten hours of travel, he finally managed to reach the exosphere of the blue planet.

Unlike Edhen's outer surface, no pillar or barrier appeared in the planet's exosphere. Moreover, he noticed that this planet was much smaller than Edhen but somewhat bigger than Earth.

As he got closer to the blue planet, he manipulated the Rebirth Flame and reduced the movement speed.

Then, he didn't delay any longer and descended towards the surface.

At that moment, he also looked at the planet's surface from the sky and noticed that only one landmass appeared at the center.

'A continent surrounded by sea, huh.' He nodded inwardly and continued to descend.

After a few minutes of travel, he reached the thermosphere, mesosphere, stratosphere, and finally, troposphere.

As he flew through the white clouds, he saw habitable places towns, forts, dense woods, and even villages.

'This looks exactly like Edhen!' He was momentarily stunned inside.
